Ah, that makes me feel better. from what I have gathered about dorian, he seems to be cool. So I am glad I can get him in the early part of the game.

I know you tried to be vague, but that one sentence alone gives a pretty good feel of who it might be . It is further narrowed down when you mention that Blackwall and Iron Bull could tank, and when the post you quote mentions that it is an LI. Might wanna spoiler tag that.

Apparently saying no to an advance is a problem. I can't figure it out if its a problem because its so difficult for them to say no or if the button is just hard to press.

Umm, too lazy to read the whole thread, but are they even flirt with the pc withouth his own advances first this time? I though the devs said they won't do this in DAI which I personally find sad and wil be happy if it's not true.

 

I'm not sure what's their problem though. I feel uncomfortable when turn someone down only because it's hard being a douche in DA games for me.   And I kinda feel bad for them. So I just don't flirt. But apparently it's too hard to resist and not to press a heart button even for the straight dudes, lol. It's the only explanation I can come up with.

I think it's funny and sad at the same time. Funny how a pixelated character can make them uncomfortable, but sad that it can in the first place. Serious issues there.

Speaking of his looks and eye color, does anyone get the feeling that he looks rather different in some of the photos and videos? I'm talking about his nose and chin in particular. It's like they've been shrunk.

Well the reason the game was delayed from October was so they could polish it up, expect changes when you get into the game.

Patrick Weekes , he's one of the writers (he wrote Solas, Cole and the Bull)

Anyway I think he was testing bugs in one playthrough and he made an AssQuisitor to romance the Bull and see a non friendship path with Solas and Cole.

 

Assquisitor used Solas as a meatshield , mock the fade and the elves.

Patrick Weekes, one of the writers. He played an Inquisitor who was an ass to some characters so he could test their content. He annoyed Solas, not the other way around.

It's been said that every companion except on can leave you, and I would bet a lot of money that that companion is either Cassandra or Solas for story reasons, so yeah, I bet you can get Dorian to leave.

 

He seems to be an idealistic do-gooder, so he's probably not going to be someone who'll be happy if you go around killing people needlessly. Also, I doubt he'll be a big fan of a pro-Templar/Circle stance.

I'm not sure but from what I gathered he's not about needless kiling, mostly it's Sera and Varric who's main priority is the safety of a common people. And his concerns seems to be about... some greater things. Like those two "just" help people around them while Dorian sees a bigger picture. 

 

From what I read he appreciates honesty - take from that what you will. It also looks like he has a lot in common with Cullen and Cassandra as he was said to believe that things can be fixed and he believes in doing "the right thing".

I don't think my Inquisitor James could bring himself to lie to Dorian, like even if he does something really messed up he'd be honest about it. Perhaps Dorian leaves if you make someone tranquil? No idea though.

I think I saw that too, but I wouldn't mind if you posted it. Hmm, mysterious. Wonder why it goes dark? Maybe something to do in his side quest? Romance?

It also occured to me that maybe it's just the cards we can choose from. I mean I know for certain that cards can and will change depending on a character's fate, because I've seen one in a spoilery group (it wasn't Dorian's though). But I also remembered just now that we should be able to set different icons for the characters (the ones in the left corner of the screen in-game) and maybe we'll be doing that via those cards. 

The whole thing remains mysterious.
