So someone showed me some party banter dialogue between Iron Bull and Dorian... I don't remember it exactly, but it went something like this.

Dorian: So you'd prefer me to just be bound and gagged, is that it?

IB: I'll buy you dinner first.

In DA:II I hated the fact that Isabella and Fenris hooked up, so I always at least slept with one of them at first before romancing someone else. With Dorian and Iron Bull I am really, really hoping that they get together. I would love to see more hysterical sexy banter between the two of them.

Dorian seems to do much posturing at first, but underneath it all, I believe (and from what I've read) he's more than just vanity. It seems to be a front, or a defensive mechanism. Interesting. I think like Fenris, he's going to be misunderstood by the straight male crowd (and others) I remember many complaining in DA2 that Fenris was a jerk, hated mages, blah blah, but I never romanced anyone else - and I was always a mage (for the irony), and rivaled him each time. I thought Fenris's romance was the most rewarding as he mellowed and even joined me to defend the mages. It was a great character arc for him.

Ah, a little more than 24 hours for me. I dig those sexy mage robes Dorian wears though. Yum.

Well I already had a good laugh at Cassandra's reaction on his... "flirt" or at least as close to it in this situation. And also at his reply.

Even if they don't get together it's nice to see some same sex flirting, it always annoyed me how the bi characters would only ever flirt with party members of the opposite sex. The only other time I can think of was when Leliana was sort of flirting with Morrigan but that was very vague and would go over the heads of most people.

I have expressed my disappointment in him. The first Tevinter companion who turns out to be a rebel against Tevinter culture, customs and the rules.

You pro-Tevinter roleplayers sure are tiresome. I hope you murdered all of the companions in the previous games and plan to murder all of them in this game as well since everyone you've met is anti-Tevinter.

People's wisdom? I  disagree.   A generalized behaviour is not Always right or ''people's wisdom''. If Dorian stands agaist the Tevinter's tradition, is because  he believes  changing is necessary. I don't like human sheep...I like  a man who is   brave enough to fight  for his ideals.

Anyway, onto more sexy subjects. Has anyone seen the new launch trailer? I really love that eerie cover of "Wonderful World". Sadly, I didn't see any Dorian...unless that's him and the Inquisitor walking in that blue white area. You'll know it when you see it, like weird white trees and a blue background.

I've been waiting for his video to show up! They really hit the right balance of suave, cocky, and sincere with him. I like that he comments to the Vashoth Inquisitor that he never met a Qunari who wasn't trying to bash his head in before xD I wonder what he says to Dalish and dwarven Inquisitors. What he says about slavery makes a lot of sense in context and he has a good point about inescapable poverty. I knew I'd like him; this video just sealed the deal of choosing him as my first romance.

I finally watched the whole thing, and yes, depending on the subject, he seems to drop the arrogance and become impassioned - particularly when speaking of Tevinter. He seems also on the fence about slavery, very much like someone who was born and raised around it, and not really understanding how bad it is until you're exposed to a different viewpoint. I'm sure this combo of dashing and genuine will get deeper when you romance him. Cannot wait

Someone who comes from a culture where slavery is the norm and a family who owns slaves probably wouldn't be completely against it but it's nice to see that he is not totally pro slavery either. He made good points about those who sell themselves into slavery because they hope for a better life but I don't think those comparisons work for all slaves. I hope you can talk to him more about it at some point and maybe get him to see things from a different perspective.
