I'm sure this combo of dashing and genuine will get deeper when you romance him.

There's a sense of sadness and fragile idealism. From what I heard in the Redcliffe gameplay video from way back, the voiceacting is gonna tug at my heart!

I very much like Dorian's explination of slavery in Tevinter. The way he describes it makes it sound very much like the way the Aztecs did slavery. If a person had no money, they could sell themselves in a sort of indentured servant way. They were paid, could support a family, and could leave the service if they were treated badly. Of course there's no doubt differences, but it does sound like they're treated better than one would expect, given the rumors about Tevinter.

I just like the fact there seems to be layers to him. He lets the act slip a little bit even in the first couple of conversations. Multifaceted characters are so hard to find in video games. Dorian is a breath of fresh air.

I love how they've handled his arrogance so far. Not only is it funny, but it definitely comes off as the defense mechanism of someone who's used to be constantly criticized over not only his beliefs but also who he is, rather than true narcissism. And when he gets all passionate and altruistic it literally gets me weak in the knees.

Well, I doubt people captured in southern Thedas sold themselves willingly. Dorian was talking about lower class citizens of Tevinter, but there are many slaves who were not. His family treats them well and maybe they are an extreme of good kind, while Fenris' experience perhaps was an extreme of bad kind. The truth is somewhere in the middle, but slavery is still slavery, no matter how many diamonds you put onto the collar.

Ew. I don't like to think of myself as a grown adult. lol Everyone I know who thinks of themselves as such are boring tedious people. 

 

I may be 26, but I refuse to bore myself down to "I'm gonna work my life away, watch a few ball games and throw a cookout every weekend during the Summer. Movies and games are for children. Har har har." 

 

I'm 43, and I haven't done it.  And I never will.   I still roam the mountains and fields of Golarion, slaying demons and slinging spells.  And then there are my video game lives.  

 

My wife and I laugh that our grandparents, when they were 80, were sitting around watching old game shows and Judge Judy.  We're going to be 80 and STILL roaming the land, slaying dragons and saving people.  

 

One more day... I told my wife: "Tuesday night, you do whatever you want.  I'll be roaming Thedas, looking for my new boyfriend."  
 

Her reply: "Give Dorian my love, but won't Kaiden be jealous?"

I am 55 and proud to say I'm a gamer. it's games like Inquisition that keep me young in heart and mind, and for that I am grateful!
