If you're a female inquisitor he flirts with you.
He hasn't flirted with my female Inquisitor... she's had the option to flirt with him, though. He talks playfully but I wouldn't consider that flirting, just humor. And I don't really see him as a stereotyped closeted gay man at all, tbh. He hasn't made any effort to either show or hide his sexuality from what I've seen, which leads me to believe he's just acting natural.
Finally recruited Dorian. And now there will be two mages in my party, because damn. He had me at his entrance into the war council.
Hahah, I've only just gotten Skyhold and done some side quests, and Dorian has already declared the Inquisitor is his friend (while everyone else seems to be disapproving of her...). That was an easy bromance, especially when I expected my Dalish character to have a lot of arguments with him 
I loved this scene even more since it's so f rare for a male Inq to express emotions, it often feels like he's a freaking tranquil. Especially in romance scenes, in contrast to the certain someone.
I want Hawke back, he felt alive at least. Life is pain. 
For those who romanced Dorian, what are your thoughts? Is Dorian and his romance just a stereotypical gay relationship, or does his character have depth?
He's 100% the stereotypical "I am oppressed" gay relationship.
I still mildly enjoyed it because the scenes are well crafted and he's generally fun to have around but, to be honest, it was completely uninteresting.

This game is so frickin confusing. I am scared of doing the main quest in case I will miss something important that I will not be able to return to...

Don't go full OCD on "finishing" the zones (especially the Hinterlands...) as they're always accessible and new things will be added as you progress.
You can rush through the story not missing anything as long as you speak to your companions between each mission.

Up to that point he was kinda beating on head with his... desires. I didn't have much problem with that, I personally love perverted characters. He creates sweet contrast to my frail, caring inquisitor boy who looked extra surprised on that scene. Made it all better.
As party member he's pretty much irreplacable. It's now matter of 'which other 2 I wanna take along with Dorian?'
Just got the romance achievement for completing the Dorian romance arc. That glorious, GLORIOUS ass! Thanks for showing off, Dorian. My qunari appreciated it.

Forgot to mention: I loved Dorian openly mocking my Inquisitor when he 'comes out' to him. He's all like, "Yeah, Mary, I kind of figured that one out already......"

I don't know. I encouraged him to listen to his father and I got the one where he's releasing a dove from his hand.
I haven't gotten Dorian yet, and I don't know how. I went with the Templars and I got to 'meet' him when he warned everyone about the attack on Haven and after that I saw him in a cut scene and after that I haven't seen him once agian and I have no clue how to get him. Does anyone know what to do?

So, out of curiosity I began loading old save games to see if anything would jumpstart Dorian's relationship. After a few tries, I found one that let me talk to him about Felix, which lead to Giselle immediately approaching me with Last Resort of Good Men(which I never got previously -- I'd only ever gotten One Less Venatori)... The downside? The save is 40 hours old. I've checked more recent saves, and couldn't trigger it with any of those.
