I saved right before the...bang, and tried out various scenes. It's really horrible if you sleep with him and then break up. The music changes also.

I saw every other outcome except for that.

I kinda want to see it and do not want to, but my curiosity is getting better of me...  No one knows if it's already on youtube or not?

Well, I think Vivienne is great. She's right after Dorian and Cassandra for me.

 

Anyway, Dorian is really useful as well. Necromancy and Inferno have amazing synergy together. Everyone is too busy running around screaming to even attack most of the time.

I accidentally encouraged him to go to Tevinter (I thought I was saying that he should follow his heart or some other heartwarming blather). Nothing really changes except the dialogue during the party.  He says he's going back to Tevinter, but will stay for a while to be with you. He's available to use after the epilogue, and when you speak with him he keeps saying something about going back to Tevinter, but not just yet.

will there be something else much later on, if you pursue that way? Or is this the only opportunity for a love scene, which you will miss out entirely, if you want to take it slowly? In terms of a better and deeper romance outcome, when you refuse to jump in bed with him instantly. Or was that it, for the remainder of the game?

An admiration without spoilers. Like many others was baffled by so many flirt options with characters who should not flirt with my gender at all. Dorian was one of that character (playing female Inquisitor). Though it's a bug or from some point options will simply quietly disappear. But no! Everything was explained, brought to light and discussed! Great job!

Ended up liking the character more then I thought I would.

Could have something to do with him basically confirming a lot about Tevinter that I had suspected for a while.

I love Dorian even more! And the voice actor is doing a terrific job.

 

Did bring Dorian to The Gull and Lantern. Finally we are getting cozy. Will there be more quests for Dorian later in the game? Anything I should make sure I do now that the Inquisitor and Dorian are "dating"?

Problem with her is she bitches about everything and just uses you for power. At least shes outfront about it though. Every choice i do she hates free mages etc... Shes like to be a controlling ****** is why she does not like i give other free will.

Not trying to read too much because I'm trying to avoid the spoilers, but I just played out the scene where Dorian's father wants to meet him in Redcliffe. The whole thing hit a little close to home for me with my own relationship with my father strained to hell/non existant by my choice (even if for different reasons).

 

I told Dorian straight up with out tricking him, because I know if I was in Dorian's shoes I would have felt betrayed had I been tricked in to a meeting with my father. I also left with Dorian before his father could talk much. Because GRRRpaincrycry.

 

I was curious what happens if you let it play out though. Is there a happy father/son in the end?

Dorian is a work of art, just got his dialogue from going through the Fade section of the story. His sensitive side makes me crazy. Love this romance arc. He has taken Morrigan's spot on my all time fav list. Thank you Bioware.

Actually, his father does make amends...saying that he used to have a son that trusted him and he betrayed that trust. Then they talk it out off screen.

I didn't realize you could walk out on daddy. Hmm, wonder how then his first kiss scene plays out then if you go that route. Might have to reload and see.

Indeed. I've heard terms of endearment in Elvish, but to hear one in Tevene/Latin, especially rolling off of Dorian's tongue is rather delightful.

His father more or less owns up to being awful because he genuinely wants to try and repair things with Dorian. He and Dorian continue the conversation off screen. It's not exactly sunshine and roses and It Gets Better afterwards, but Dorian doesn't seem to be carrying around quite as much baggage about it anymore.
