Finished the main storyline with a romanced Dorian. I loved his character even more than I expected. In retrospect, I wish I had done some of his side quests differently but ah well.
I'm eagerly anticipating the first story DLC, even though I'm sure it's a ways off.
I'm curious to see how Dorian reacts to a pro templar inquisitor. I hate to get negative points from the start, but I haven't tried that mission yet, so my third play through will be going that route I'm fairly sure.
Anywho, I'm really enjoying Dorian's romance Arc! I can't wait to get more scenes later in the game. I'm also relieved I managed to get his personal quest this time around. Stupid glitchy mother not wanting me to love Dorian last time.

This has to be my favourite banter between two characters thus far.

Screw it, I just have a fondness for Cole (along with Dorian, but that's a given going by how many times I've posted in this thread).

I still haven't finished the game yet and I'm trying not to spoil myself, but I had a quick question about the Dorian romance mechanics.
Without spoiling the story, if you rebuff Dorian's request for sexytimes initially and talk about taking it slow (or whatever the line was) and starting a relationship, does that opportunity for an intimate relationship come up later in the game at any point?
Hoping this post doesn't land in the middle of a page of huge spoilers
Actually, I kind of want an answer to this as well, since I think I did it the "other way around"... except, no sexytimes... yet?

Though the banter with Cole is nice I suppose, that he was wondering is "he" would still want him after - he is the Inquisitor right?

I think you can do that and have sexy time later , I saw some video on Youtube.(I'm not 100% sure though so...)
I love the fact that in a 600+ page thread, there's not one person who has first hand experience with telling Dorian to take it slowly in the romance! 
We are all just too thirsty for that moustache to delay it any longer!

I picked it! I just haven't finished the game yet so I don't know where it leads.
I chose "taking it slowly" because I figured it was similar to the "sex OR a loving relationship" dichotomy that they did with Zevran, and I definitely wanted to check out the latter. There's a really sweet line where Dorian says he's confused because relationships between men in Tevinter are mostly about pleasure, and he has no role models of actual romantic partnerships to use as an example. The Inquisitor can say they can be the example 
Also because (IMO) Dorian was coming on a bit too strong by breathing in the Inquisitor's ear after like two romance conversations 
But I can see why almost everyone would pick the top right sexytimes option, because it's the one with the heart symbol. The game doesn't go out of its way to make clear what happens if you ask to take it slowly, but I did get the achievement for locking in a romance and Dorian still acts like we're together.
So... that's why I was wondering where it ends up, is the intimate scene just... later?

I didn't mind so much. He's not really the type to claim you'll live happily ever after, unless you caught him off guard, even if that's what he intended.
And yeah, the wanting him after was definitely about the Inquisitor since he was trying to prepare himself for it not to go further and this was all in reference to Cole saying he's happier now.

Yeah, I suppose it's in his character.
Like in the last scene he says "You're boring, I hate you, and I hope this ends soon". I think he has trouble being direct about his feelings so he says the opposite in a sarcastic sense. So he meant "You are so fun! I love you! Hope we stay together forever!" Right?
I was actually really disappointed with Dorian and his story... :/

I'm also curios, but I haven't found an answer anywhere. My guess: There won't be a "better" romance scene later on. This was just put in the game, for the people, who disliked the fact, that romance climaxes almost exclusively end up in a bed scene.
My first pick was the "take it slowly" approach as well, but I still hesitate to lock that in as my final decision. If that doesn't lead to anything special later on, I'll go with the love scene and treat that as my canon decision, because I find it more fitting afterall. There must be only a fracture of my inquisitor's soul left by now, after all that excessive kissing during the last few days.

I'm romancing him with a dwarf by the way and I like how they kept the shorter body size of the dwarves in mind, during the kissing scenes. I mean, my inquisitor is looking up to him and he is looking down on me while kissing. At least in most of the scenes. It almost looks like my character has a hard time reaching up to him sometimes. A neat detail I appreciate, when they just could have made the heads magically align, as if they both were on the same level, during the cutscenes.
On the other hand, it would have been incredibly funny and I would have fallen off my chair from laughter, if the dwarf inquisitor got himself a stool before each kissing scene.
I wonder how that plays out with Iron Bull with that kind of noticable difference in body size. The bull would have to kneel down for the kiss for sure.
Now I wish I had taken Sera out on the landscape more. Her banter with Dorian is hilarious!

Anyways, is it just me, or is there very few party banters? I feel like I run around so much finding fade rifts, Venatori etc... I wish they talked more to eachother.
