Turning Erimond tranquil seems to be the only option that ****** him off. He even doesn't care about his execution.

"I hope this ends soon". This part could go several ways. One side tells me that he wants all this inquisition stuff to end so you two can go live alone somewhere and not be bothered by the trappings of their responsibilities.
This was my interpretation, just because most of the other conversations you have with people in that last scene have to do with their plans after the Inquisition and/or the huge workload of things remaining to do in order to rebuild Thedas.
Plus about eighty five thousand people say there's still more stuff to do even after the Inquisition's victory, and the Inquisitor and Dorian are still sticking around to finish things.
I always took this to mean "I hope the Inquisition's responsibilities end soon and we can do other stuff".

Chances are, Dorian will get elected Black Divine, and you guys end up in the same boat as we who romanced Cassandra.

Surely nugs would fly before Tevinter would approve of someone like Dorian becoming Black Divine?
Maybe in, like, Dragon Age 5.

That was the Southern Divine, if I'm not mistaken.
For all we know Divines in Tevinter take lovers all the time, they have crazy rules about everything as it is.

I just can't picture him as the Black Divine or any high leadership role. I can, however, see him as the leader of a reformist group.

Exactly.
I don't think Tevinter is that tight regarding lovers. However, Dorian prefers men, and we know how Tevinter feels about that.

I'm not seeing Dorian as the Black Divine.
Dorian is an intelligent guy but like Vivienne point out he lacks teeth when it comes to dealing with Tevinter nobles.
It seems the Divine holds power by favoring some altus houses and murdering others in public.

Isn't that the Archon? ![]()
His parents did want him to become Archon, but I don't see any way for that to happen with Tevinter the way it is now. He's a pariah precisely because he doesn't want to play that game.
And any situation where Tevinter changes enough to make that possible would probably never happen off-screen, so I guess we'll have to wait until some future game that takes place in the north.
(If Dorian is even in that game.)

Just imagine how much he could accomplish if he did become Archon though.

No I think its the Black Divine?
But maybe he talked about both ?
I remember him talking about vaguely meeting the Divine at a party , and he said the Divine had to leave early because he just killed someone and Dorian complains he didn't even wait until people started dancing.
But anyway I have a hard time picturing Dorian as a ruler or leader, he's charming enough to get a position like that but Dorian is just too nice overall.
I mean I did pick Alistair as a king in Ferelden (and Alistair is also the "too nice " kind of guy sometimes) but it was Ferelden.
We're talking Tevinter here.

In other news, I finally got Dorian's romance to fire off, and just finished Here Lies the Abyss. So impressed with Dorian, and loved his talk with you right after.

Dorian: Me? Become Divine? I don't think there are enough people back home that want me dead for that to happen.
Inquisitor: I could keep you safe.
Dorian: Of that I have no doubt, but I'm sure that you'd tire of "Amatus, be a dear and send this fool screaming into the Void" within a week.

Dorian would most likely be assassinated if he tried to reform Tevinter. Fenris states there were magisters who attempted to change things, but they never survived. This is why I fear for Dorian's safety if he goes home with all these grand ideas - unless he has a solid support group rallying behind him. Then it might be more difficult to get rid of him, but still, not impossible. But then Dorian also wants to do it alone...which isn't the best idea either (and borne out of pride it seems during that convo).
This is why my guy said to stay and remain at his side. He knows what could happen, and hopes to talk Dorian into an alliance with whatever reformist group is in Tevinter before going back. At least have the numbers first before telling the Imperium they have to pay their slaves and stop using blood magic.

No I think its the Black Divine?
He was talking about the Archon at the party who had to leave because he killed a magister. The Black Divine was another conversation prior to discussing the Archon...I think even on the same dialogue wheel, so the confusion is natural.
In other news, I'm pretty much ignoring every poster on Tumblr that keeps screaming about mods. I'm done. And I'm done with entitlement posts/fics with Hawk or the Inquisitor or whoever confronting Dorian about slavery. I commented on someone's last night saying Dorian was OOC because he never defended himself against Hawk - when even though he might have been wrong, I doubt Dorian would just roll over and take a verbal lashing over something he's been raised with all his life, and doesn't necessarily agree with.
Sorry for the vent, but it irked me. If a writer is going to use a story to mistreat a character, at least keep that character in character.

Personally I don't want to stop him from what he always was set out to do, it feels wrong, but he just ain't ****** allowed to do it alone damnit! Quizzy be sneaking around in Tevinter forcing Sera and Cole with him because they be sneakier and got all the intel, as bad of a choice that may seem. Dorian don't need to know...
