Well, if you don't bring bull and Dorian around, it doesn't happen. So just keep bringing them with different characters. Also, I don't know if anyone can confirm this, but usually if you flirt with a character it will stop other characters from flirting/entering in a relationship with them. So you could try something like that as well.

Oh, I haven't been able to do it! Dorian keeps distracting me from everyone else 
So I got Dorian to talk with his Father. I wanted to see how it went, but when his Father talks about betraying his son's trust, my Inquisitor did what was best and left the tavern so they could talk.
That was pretty beautiful. It's great being able to either help him try to re-connect to his Father, or just go "screw this" and leave.
I know have the option to begin a romance with him, when I've never flirted! Not yet Dorian. My mage needs to woo Josie, I need to give my canon world another chance so that Cass and my Inquisitor can stay together, then maybe it'll be your turn.
No you didn't. Cole says he can only dig for hurtful thoughts and memories and mentions Relenus, who's clearly someone Dorian was interested or involved with in the past. It's on the wiki already.

Sorry but there's no way , everytime I'm closing a fade rift , I'll have to wait around 45 scd because Dorian is playing master of puppet with a random demon.

There is another solution if you switch to Dorian and press Spirit Mark, minion will die instantly, it can be still tedious to do but i think it is better than waiting ~45s
Where did this Relenus come from? The name, I mean. I never heard Cole or seen a codex that mentions this person in detail other than the naughty thoughts going through Dorian's mind.
I assume it's some man that Dorian knew in Tevinter and had unrequited feelings for. Cole tells Dorian that he would have said yes because he's trying to help Dorian to stop carrying around the negativity. (Although that would probably be one of Cole's unintentionally making it worse moments.)

Bwah, this was my issue with that damnable spell, too. Until I figured out, as Kipp says, it can be ended by switching and clicking the spell. Damnit Dorian, that is not funny!

I just finished In Your Heart Shall Burn, having sided with the Templars for the first time. Dorian's glorious entrance made up for not getting him earlier. That man just owns every scene he's in.
I've done two runs with the mages so it was really odd to see him taking the place of Cole inside the chantry and during the song. But I found hearing the news about Roderick from him to be really touching.

I think i should really write some impressions about Dorian ^^
I'm on my 3rd playthrough and to be honest Dorian is my permanent party member, his voice actor did an absolutely excellent job, those scenes with his father or merchant are absolutely great, also facial expression, you can clearly see that behind all that snark is the man who is afraid/kind/protective etc.
I hope that in the future we will get more Dorian sass in a DLC or in a new game, he is by far my favourite DA character.

I am about to do this, and to be honest, I actually did enjoy the Templar side with my Dalish First. Pissing off Envy as a mage was fun! And Cole's intro was rather nice, especially him popping up on the war table. "Get down from the war table!" "You're right, I don't belong here. I'm not a war." Lol. Cole is like a lost little puppy, following my mage back home and getting adopted into his new family.
But that means missing Dorian until I do In Your Heart Shall Burn. Almost there!

But I never heard the guy mentioned by name? When does Cole say the dude's name? Remulus?
