He's got to have a ton of toiletries somewhere. Despite what he tells Blackwall, no one's hair does that naturally.
Yeah, I see him secretly spending a while on his personal grooming, only he doesn't see that way, only a necessary part of mornings.

I don't know how anyone can complete Dorian's personal quest, which alludes to the fictional equivalent of conversion therapy and still consciously pursue a hypothetical modded romance with him as a female inquisitor. It's less fan entitlement and more about recognizing how incomprehensible that is.
You could remove the quest altogether.
I for one can't wait for a white, moustacheless straight Dorian mod, tumblerino's tears are always delicious.
If you can't handle disagreement, perhaps that would be the best. And perhaps you ought to stay off the internet in general since you seem to have a bit of trouble distinguishing between sources. As far as the to slash or to reverse slash issue, that hasn't even really been an issue in the actual thread where you're using your collective you.
And just to clarify, I'm not addressing those in the thread here. This is a general "you".
Though, you have made several remarks about how disgusting Iron Bull and Dorian are. Enough to spark a Tumblr backlash. Not sure if it was only you (since other agreed with you) But I know you've made pretty strong statements, and people there have responded. And since I do the same as others when it comes to taking things personally on the internet, I couldn't help but feel a little insulted. I like darker relationships, and I like gritter romances, so I really didn't have a problem with it, but reading some of the comments here has made me feel like less of a person because I don't agree.
As for the still nonexistent straight/bi mods and stories (since who would even try after the hate on Tumblr?) I wasn't - again - speaking to anyone that has posted here. I was venting in general and seeing who might be like-minded enough to agree.
I hate the fact that my party banters are all messed up. I have gotten about 20 banters throughout the course of 100 hours. I have put DA:I on hold until the party banter works again. So much information I am missing, I just have no fun exploring the beautiful scenery again. And I want to dive deeper into Dorians/Inq relationship.

I've played it on two different systems now and still have gotten next to no banter. It's also sort of deterring me from playing more. I've listened to some of the Youtube videos (well, all of Dorian's anyway) and it's frustrating to know how good most of it is.
I am pretty sure no one has made an actual value judgement about Dorian/Iron Bull, only commented on why they, personally, do not like the pairing. I think people have been absolutely clear about why they feel that way without telling anyone else how they should also feel. It isn't a popular pairing in this thread. The fact that Bull has his own appreciation thread, and that none of us (I assume, since I have never gone there) have felt the need to interject our opinion on that thread means we have no issue with the people who do like his romance.
So I am a little confused about this "making me feel like less of a person" issue is coming from.

It's strange, I have had next to no bugs in my game, and my party talks a lot. The only bug I've experienced (aside from the very occasional crash to desktop) was a certain character's customization bugging out my character's voice- which has been fixed now, far as I can tell. Maybe I've just been lucky.
I don't get a lot of Dorian romance banter, but when I do it's rather fun. The one with BlackWall seems the funniest. Apparently BlackWall was asking around the tavern about "us". Very humorous stuff! I liked the Sera one better though. It was really good!

I have that problem too, but hissing waste has proven the most fruitful for me, may want to try there. Also, when I am staring through the oculara, they always start chatting up a storm, a bit annoying actually.I hate the fact that my party banters are all messed up. So frustrating... I want BW to fix it. Or give me a tutorial how to...
If the backlash about Bull wasn't cared about, then why was it discussed on page 650?
Words being thrown around like abusive, repulsive, disgusting etc by varying members here. So yeah, I can see where the defensive attitude on their end comes from. If the relationship is thought of in those terms, then what is thought of those who ship it?
Saying it's okay for one to ship it, then go on about how horrible it is....gives conflicting signals.
Here, let me give you some perspective since you can't seem to grasp this.
I think kissing is gross. It's just... eugh. I despise body fluids. I hate the taste of someone else's mouth. I don't like being licked. I think it's nasty, repulsive, and demeaning. I and my ex did not agree on this point.
But other people like kissing. And licking. And frenching. Good for them. I still think it's gross. But I have never, not once, said someone was a bad person because they enjoy kissing and licking and other things that I find grodey.
Are we good now? Thanks.
Edit: Let me clarify. I enjoy the visual of kissing. I have no issue with my boy and Dorian snogging and sucking face when he asks to spend alone time with him. It's actually pretty hot. I also don't mind extremely light bondage, such as very gentle arm holding. I find being licked to be demeaning because... I really don't know why, I just do. But I actually sort of like it when watching it happen to someone else. It's just not for me. I have some very severe personal space issues. I know that 99% of people think I'm a weirdo for it, and I'm cool with that- but it's not something I can personally withstand, and having anyone touch me, even a stranger, sends my anxiety skyrocketing. So much as touching my shoulder while talking to me will bother me for hours. I know I'm an outsider in that respect, but it's been a truth for me for as long as I can remember. So the whole BDSM angle with Bull just bothers me into my core. But I know well enough there are an awful lot of people who enjoy that sort of thing, and no matter how much it personally bothers me, I don't believe it somehow makes them a lesser person for it.
Everyone is different. My- or anyone else's- personal issues have nothing to do with you.
Hmm, regarding the issues with fan fic of Dorian/Female inquisitor, I want to add something... or state an opinion actually. Personally I don't have a problem with any type of fan fic. For example I have a problem with actors who have a problem with this, meaning I think their being insecure and stupid mostly lol. But I digress.
As I was saying, I don't think the issue is the people who write or like this fic (Dorian/F!Inquisitor). The not ok thing happens when people state that Dorian "should" be available to female inquisitor, and that this "gender gating" (really, who came up with this stupid term) is not "cool". There are several things wrong with that.
First, from the perspective of a gay guy who enjoys playing a similar character, there are so few choices available (read "almost none" except Bioware games), that I'm really defensive of anything that might "scare" the company into canceling their own progress (like retconing the character, or avoid doing other chars in the future).
Second of all, he is clearly and "cannonically" stated as gay. Fic writing is great. Complaining and demanding he be made available to female inq based on whatever reasons is just bizarre if not disturbing. The most recent trend in this is to use the "gender gating" crap as excuse. It's not "gender gating", he's just gay. We now exist in the virtual realm as well. Deal with it
.
Basically, as long as someone writes fic about Dorian and any female companion or inq because they think it's hot or whatever, it's great. When people start ignoring the oh so minor detail of Dorian being gay and subtlely demanding that Bioware shouldn't do characters like him or do this in general (using the "gender gating" for example, though I read more blunt and crude so-called-arguments), then we have a problem. Or more specifically I have a problem with them. And I'll mention it.
Also I see the IB is back to making a mess here... pfff.
Like someone mentioned earlier, it has been addressed a few times already, and with plenty good arguments as to why the Dorian/IB is an unhealthy and abusive relationship (I could name a few people who wrote fascinating arguments and reasoning for this, but they know who they are, and besides I do try to like their posts as often as I can
). I see some people (many on tumblr it seems lol) simply dismiss any type of logical argument and wave it all away. They can't see what's wrong with the relationship so nothing must be wrong. We're all crazy here apparently... Great attitude really
I don't think it's worth wasting time on that debate anymore. Well unless crazy posts appear on this topic, which might convince me to jump in xD
Now for something fun, I was looking for some Dorian pics, and found this... too good to not share
(NSFW)
And some Dorian ofc ![]()

Uhhh.
I'll be in my bunk.
Uhhh.

don't forget
It won't get rid of the pain, but it'll help.

Why was it discussed? Well first it was because I was curious about what was said and then I couldn't help but to respond. It really doesn't mean I care about their opinions of me. It is tumblr.

Man that is a great picture. I am sort of jealous of how well some people draw. It really is so impressive.

I played through with a female Cadash for the Iron Bull romance, half for the height difference lols, but as a person who is into and actively participates in BDSM culture, the Iron Bull romance is not only dull and disappointing, it's also super unsettling and creepy. Dorian's clear discomfort in my play throughs where I didn't romance either of them was very clear, and Bull's behavior was not how a dom should respond to a sub's concerns- at best it's a douche move, at worst it's abusive behaviour.
I like the concept of a corrected fanwork romance between Dorian/Iron Bull, but the canon version didn't sit right with me at all.

I also don't take issue with fanwork, especially on the anon kink meme! I don't agree with it and I don't like it, but then I just don't read it.
But the demand that Dorian be made to have a female romance option does bug me, in the same way that people claiming Sera should have a male romance option bugs me. Gay people don't have many other outlets in this medium, outside of BioWare, and these are usually the same people who aren't concerned about Cullen (given recent news) or Solas or Cassandra being straight, so their opinions generally aren't worth salt. The race preferences issue should take precedent over the "gender gating" or whatever.
I just wish fandom could adopt the "fan and let fan" policy, but ****** makes better drama.

Oh so Sera is targeted by same thing? Ugh, so annoying. I haven't been much on her thread since I'm not a huge fan of hers lol. Too rigid in her opinions
but yes, like with Dorian, fan fic of Sera and male inq would be perfectly fine for who enjoys it and in general. Demanding she is available to male inq or male npc, totally not ok. Sigh.
Regarding IB x Dorian, IMO it was more bothering when some people suggested that Dorian was more interested in Iron Bull than in the Inquisitor.

It's stuff I've noticed in various places for Sera, some in the youtube comment sections on her romance vids (I know, I know), but I do agree about not being a huge fan of hers in general.
I think fanwork is there to service fans, all fans, of varying opinions, so het fanwork of gay characters, while not my cup of tea, doesn't really offend me. The demands of homophobic fans? Definitely offend me.
*high fives you*
I have yet to see any demand for Dorian/F!Inquisitor, which makes the opposition to such a pairing baffling to me. Anyone have a link to fans making these demands?
Here, let me give you some perspective since you can't seem to grasp this.
Uncalled for. I never insulted anyone here, and now I'm stupid?
There were a few blocks of text quoted on page 650 which I regard as reiterating points which I also regard as "discussion"...which is why I mentioned it and then told it wasn't discussed, and then told right after that yes it was discussed.
Discussion does equal caring to some regard, as you have to at least care enough to copypaste.
Anyway, it doesn't matter. I don't appreciate the condescending tone though. I was simply being honest.
I love fan fics so count me in as one of the Dorian lovers in this thread who has no issue with fan work. I'm also one of those people who believe that the LIs should be available to every PC no matter what gender they are and if they want to restrict then it should be done based on race (elf, dwarf...) over gender.
I also don't have an issue with mods, people will mod whatever they want for whatever reason. I already know to just stay as far away from the ones I won't like. Such as Viv as a white woman, Dorian as a white man, Cassandra will probably get lightened up more and made more like "a real woman"...So yeah I'm ready for them.
Am I upset that Dorian is for males only? Nope. Am I upset that Cullen was supposed to be bi? Sort of. Cause I wanted to have a m/m romance with him.
lol! But the one thing I've noticed from the Cullen time issue deal is that when push comes to shove, the gay options will be cut from the game or placed on the back burner over the straight option. Just like Kaidan in ME1. The Straight relationships will take priority. So why are some people acting like bioware is somehow wronging them by having an exclusive gay character? I barely go to Tumblr anymore, but when I did and looked up Dorian, one the first complaints I saw was of someone mentioning Cullen's bisexuality and then claiming that BW should have changed Dorian's sexuality and made him bi too. Mind you, I wouldn't have had a problem with that but geez, it's obvious that they(straight female Inquisitors) have Cullen because animating him straight first was number one and a part of me feels like, if Dorian was slated to be bi then what would have happened if they had simply ran out of time with him as well? I admit, it has sort of changed my mind on making all the characters available to both genders, at least not when there are so many LIs to choose from.
And I will admit, that Dorian being available to men only has it's irl benefits for me. Such as, I really enjoy reading this thread and everyone's interpretation on DorianXInquisitor and DorianXIB romances. I love all the pics of people posting of their Male Inquisitors and Dorian. I love romancing Fenris as MHawke but I don't go to the Fenris forum often because the majority are FemHawkexFenris mancers. I'm not saying that is a bad thing but I don't want to wad through FHawkexFenris art and pics just to see one MHawkexFenris piece. And I have a feeling that it would be the same if Cullen was bi.
As for some of our IBXDorian opinions...Just because not everyone here is riding the IB bandwagon does not and should not mean that you are less than a person for loving it. I personally just do not like the IB romance, not with the Quizzy or Dorian. Just knowing how different Dorian behaves during banter when each are compared is enough for me. One makes him tight lipped and ashamed while the other makes his heart sing. I simply prefer the latter. There are plenty of IB love going around to validate your love for him, not seeing how one thread is enough to make you doubt that.
I have yet to see any demand for Dorian/F!Inquisitor, which makes the opposition to such a pairing baffling to me. Anyone have a link to fans making these demands?

No, not really, not to the same level you seem to care. I wish you all the best with your lurking (which you seem to have decided against).
Back to Dorian, since I really don't care. This made me smile.
