Just waded through Wicked Eyes (boy was that annoying with the countdown- flubbing the dialogues was slightly amusing tho- Dalish elf boy has zero idea how to talk to nobles) and did not get one single flirt option with Dorian, or the dance option.

 

I am assuming it's because I hadn't started the romance? I saved before going in case I screwed it up royally. Should I go and do the first personal quest/flirts/Giselle ranting at him about undue influence, and then I will have the flirt options and dance?

 

No idea why I was thinking I could do that after WEWH, dancing and flirting there wouldn't make sense without some precedent.

It is personal preference, but I loved the romance of Wicked Eyes so I would definitely get it started at least (and I would think once the romance is started you have the flirts/etc, but I can't be sure.).

He's supposed to be a bit naive, rigid, no time for fun, and finds all of this greatly exhausting.

Was anyone saddened by the lack of mustache on Dorian's father?

I always took it as a sign of rebellion, Dorian looks a lot like his father without facial hair. Either that or this happened one morning in the Pavus household:

Haha, actually that was one of the things that I found on my own and that shield was pretty beastly early on...I absolutely loved watching Blackwall and Cassandra (I made both wear it) run around with that thing strapped to their backs.

Yes, though mostly I was curious about the differences in accents between the two. It was a little disappointing that Dorian didn't have his father's accent (though I love Dorian's voice so much that the disappointment quickly went away).

Hm I'll have to listen more carefully the next time I watch that cutscene. I'm so absorbed by Dorian during it, and his father says so little comparatively that it's difficult to recall what he sounds like at the moment.

I do enjoy a nice, well done accent no matter where it's from, but as mentioned, the final delivery and version we hear of Dorian is just so perfect that I can't imagine it any other way now.

Qarinus, Dorian's hometown is pretty close to the more tropical climate that you'd expect to find in Seheron. The area was annexed by the Minrathous side of the Imperium way back when and most of the Tevinter characters we've met have come from there.

Can we go to Tevinter at some point? Seriously, we aren't shipping Dorian back there without somebody to keep an eye on him, although Mae is a start:

Dorian: How much is he paying you to keep an eye on me?

Varric: Look Sparkler, I'm just here to see Mae. The last time I came up here to visit was a little messy.

Dorian: Varric.

Varric: Okay, so he covered the cost of the trip in exchange for making sure you were okay.

Just saw your post on the other thread, I am so sorry and I wish I could have liked that a hundred times, some of them are really being victim blaming arses.
