From what I've gathered watching Youtube video about necro spe when you talk with Solas and Cole , you're told , necromancers don't use spirits or demons.Just wisps.
Cole and Solas aren't too happy. It's like pieces of a destroyed spirit or something.
I think Cole tells you to be careful and properly release the wisp in the fade so they can be reborn.

He talks also about Dorian who pulls stuff through , and he's not too happy.
I'll look on the net if I find the video.

Edit :

  Cole about Dorian : https://www.youtube....Iz0TAotV8M#t=51

Cole about necromancer :

Dorian has banter with Viuus the Necromancer trainer talking about differences between the Tevinter and Nevarran styles of necromancy. Although I call bullshit on Dorian's "we don't put spirits into every available corpse" line:

Inquisitor: Two words. Keep door.

Dorian: Wood is...former plant matter, it worked didn't it?

Inquisitor: What about Nugly?

Dorian: I was being accosted by a despair demon! My focus wasn't exactly on target!

Inquisitor: You still haven't figured out how to release the wisp have you?

Dorian: (sighs) It would be easier if Leliana didn't spend all day cooing over it.

Yeah... that's one of those ones I will never pick because I don't want to see it. To this day I've never even looked at the scene where you turn Fenris over to Danarius.

Oh god no. I find it disturbing it's even an option. Let's send a man back into slavery to be raped and abused. WTF.

I guess there's something wrong with me, as I don't find it remotely fun to roleplay a sadistic POS in an RPG. In WoW, the starting DK zone has a quest, that is compulsory, in which you torture an npc until he tells you some info. As least it makes sense, because your DK is a thrall of the Lich King. And then in Dragonblight, there's a quest where the quest giver doesn't want to get his hands dirty, so he asks you to torture someone for him. Far as I know, you can't just not do it because it's part of a chain, and you can't complete the zone without it. Seriously disturbing. I can't fathom why some people like those sorts of quests, I just find it appalling and creepy.

Actually, I might have chosen the kiss that follows up the talk with Giselle but it's bugged for me at least. The game doesn't register that the Inquisitor and Dorian are in a relationship, and I constantly had only the "I'm interested in you" option, like nothing would've ever happened between them. So I can't really recommend it as the "canon" option, but at least check it out.

Also, I really would have loved to tell Dorian we're moving too fast and have the kiss scene, and then maybe after you've left Skyhold and come back, he'd return and we'd get the sexy bits too. WHY CAN'T WE HAVE BOTH BIOWARE //heavy breathing

I would totally do both.

Reminds me of when Fenris comes to Hawke's mansion after his personal quest. You can start the relationship with him there (and I actually like how he reacts- touch his arm, startle him while he's in a highly excitable state, get pushed to the wall, then he looks away as if ashamed of the way he reacted, and Hawke just starts kissing him- it's my preferred option). Otherwise, you can let him leave, and he comes back telling you to turn him down and say it's a bad idea. Also a good dynamic, because it shows how conflicted he is, and their kiss scene there is less... aggressive.

Something like that with Dorian would have been excellent. Tell him to take it a bit slower, and then after a certain time, or a major story quest, or just zoning out and back to Skyhold, you get the option for an intimate scene. It'd flow well for those character who are shy or reserved. My mage has to be a little OOC to start the romance with Dorian since they took away companions flirting with the PC, which would have been an infinitely better way for them to start their relationship than my inexperienced, virgin mage suddenly going "oh, you're gay? that's awesome, let's kiss!" Having Dorian approach him and go "hey, I kinda like you, would you be interested...?" and being able to say no thanks or some adorable, bewildered "I had no idea, I actually would rather like that."

Bah.

Playing hard to get would've been nice, even if your quizzy is experienced. He should know if it's the right thing as much as Dorian needs the same validation. He would've been the most fun LI if that had happened.

Hey anyone ever get up and leave the wicked grace game? Tried it...so sucks and reloaded. Just wondering if anyone tried and left that way. I'm guessing varric doesn't end up caring either way?

Bah.

Ohhh, Fenris, Fenris... Ignoring the fact that he dumped you for three years, he's my favourite LI in DA2, hands down - to the point I can't even try other romance paths. //cries// I absolutely love both ways to start the romance with him, but I have to say I prefer the one where he makes the initiative and just storms into the Hawke estate with that gaze full of smolder xD Ahh so would have loved that with Dorian. But well, he does love to play hard to get so there isn't much we can do, huh?

My Trevelyan is very much a man's man so the romance seemed natural with him - Dorian was definitely "the one who's been taking it" in that relationship. (trying not to laugh but failing) Buuut I got similar feels as you with my prettiful Lavellan; really would have preferred Dorian taking the initiative there. I like to think he hasn't really been thinking about that kind of stuff because he was so set on becoming the next Keeper, and since he's very much pro-Dalish he might have actually disliked Dorian in the beginning.

...And so I continue to dream on.

I tried to romance Anders. It worked... once. I can't resist the elf. Being dumped sucks because you never talk about it, until Fenris brings it up and apologizes, but it does imply that make it to the bed (though I think Hawke would have been fine with just about any furniture at that point, he'd been waiting three whole years and had some pent up... energy. Yes, energy, that's right).. I sort of have an obsession with Gideon Emery's voice, now. When I discovered he voices Lor'Themar Theron, the blood elf leader in WoW, I clicked on him. A lot. Just to listen to his random statements about strengthening the blood elves and whatnot. I miss that from DA2 as well. Clicking on Fenris and getting "I am yours." Ahhhhhhh.... I can't help myself.

Haha, my rogue is happy to go either way, my mage would most likely be the bottom, and my warrior most likely a top. The mage is like yours- all training, no time for fun, all responsibility and blaaahhhh, so he might have kissed someone, once, but that's the most he's done. Definitely pro-Dalish, pro-mage, finds the whole thing absolutely exhausting, and hates being the center of attention. Dorian being the "aggressor" in that relationship would have worked perfectly. especially after working through some Tevinter/elf animosity. Dorian's so easygoing that even going the "you're terrible for comparing slavery to poverty" route, I gain approval pretty much nonstop.

Sorry for the offtopic divergence, but yeah my blood elf priest has a major crush on our faction leader ;). It was nice that he got featured a bit more in the story of the MoP expansion.

Thanks for reminding me of this btw. For some time now I've had his voice in my head going "Ahhh!" (in an interested way) and I couldn't recall when Fenris says this. It is in fact Lor'themar during one of the Isle of Thunder events as part of "Ahhh, so the grand lady of the Kirin Tor wants a fight, does she?" (click to listen.) So sexy... *_*

So yeah, back to Dorian.

[edit]
Btw, I can totally imagine Ramon Tikaram doing a blood elf voice. Just sayin'.

The personal scenarios for Isle of Thunder on my rogue, working close with Lor'Themar, listening to that voice, and just how badass he sounds... Yes. I think it is safe to say that all of my blood elves crush on him massively. Rogue and DK have been through the scenarios, might take both my paladins through as well. Just for Lor'Themar. The blood elves and Lor'Themar have redeemed my faith in the Horde, I was a hardened Ally for years and just couldn't get into the Horde side. I created my rogue back in early 2008, and did not reach above level 70 until about a couple months ago. Once we got more BE content, that changed, and now my rogue just about beats out my Ally hunter for my favorite character to play.

That voice clip... sounds delicious.

Uh, yes, I can imagine Tikaram doing a belf voice. He's got the sass and pretty voice for it.

Well same here, I was sooo set on romancing Anders but I was weak and had a tumble with Fenris anyway. Promised myself that was it. Then Anders showed up at the Hawke estate and at first I was like oh yes, this is going swell aaand then suddenly he starts bashing on Fenris. That was it for me. Told him to get out and never come back xD if I'm to be completely honest, the reason why I started playing Dragon Age was Gideon Emery indeed. I'd just finished Persona 3 and fallen in love with his voice and I was browsing through all the work he's done and the rest is history. That's why I played DA2 first :') that voice should not exist. //dies

Aww, I really love hearing about other people's characters, especially when they've thought of their personalities and backgrounds more! I wish we had a thread where everyone would share their inquisitors because I swear I'd read them all day long.

Hahaha, my Hawke dumped Anders for the exact same reason. He's was ready to move on, because Fenris leaving was just so damn confusing to him. Then comes Anders, who he'd had a thing for as well. He was so close to having him come inside, and then Anders just had to insult Fenris, and his jealousy and protectiveness reared up. Told Anders to get lost and pined away for Fenris for three years. That voice will get me every single time.

Too bad he's way too distinct to voice a PC in DA. I would be all over that.

I am sure I have seen a video of Dorian saying something like "this makes the rumors true" after they kiss. That's what I'm talking about.

This is my favorite place to "start" the Dorian romance. The way he moves in for the first kiss is hella sexy.

So, Dorian's "One less Venatori" quest:  Are all three groups in the Hinterlands?  I can't for the life of me remember if they were or not. I completed the quest on my first playthrough, but now I only had two groups show up on the map. The last group isn't showing up in the Hinterlands, (or the Storm Coast, or Western Approach). Does anyone know off the top of their head where the last group is supposed to be?

I bounced back and forth between Anders and Fenris too (by manipulating some console flags, if I remember right), but didn't break up with Anders until after the main plot explosion. Damn, that was a good playthrough
