Dorian complements your decor. Break up with him and he proceeds to... insult your decor. You can tell he's really hurt and just fishing for something to say at that point.

Surprisingly not as sad as the Cullen break up- the look he gives you sent chills. Nor was it as cring-worthy as Hawke's: Sorry you just weren't that good" to Anders after sex
Man, I remember that break up scene and I was like...
...is that really the way they are going to have Hawke end this one?

I just watched a Cullen break up vid. Noes!!! ![]()
I loved telling Anders he was no good. ![]()
So far I still find Dorian's scene to be the saddest so far (I plan to watch the others). Being naked and picking up your clothes to leave and talking to fill what could have been awkward silence. Poor guy.
I did feel bad for IB if the Quizzy chooses to "explain" when all the advisers walk in. Trying to hit on Josie afterwards was just sad.
...Idk why I'm watching all these break up vid. lol!

Yeah, I watched the Cullen break up vids. The "let's be friends" option is so much worse. He just *glares*. You can just tell he's so angry and hurt since he was being so vulnerable seconds before.

Yeah the "let's be friends" one is the worst of them all. Especially saying it after he made it clear he was looking forward to something more. I gotta happy stuff now. lol!

Wow, I never actually watched either of those break ups, but the Cullen friendship break up was definitely one of the hardest ones to see. The fact he says nothing really makes it so much more dramatic (though even the Bull one is kind of sad, the way he hurries out of there and makes up that excuse about stress.).

I have a girly elf sitting around for Cullen. I can't imagine breaking that boy's heart, after all he's been through. He's just too damn sweet, even my boys lust after him a bit lot. He's been through so much ![]()
I'm such a sap, I can't do the horrible/sad things in video games. Too much feels for me.
edit: now I'm gonna go wibble yet again about him not being a male romance option. I want to rage irrationally at BW for that decision. *flips table*

Breaking up with Cassandra is pretty bad too.
She says something along the lines of, "I knew you would break my heart. I knew it but I wanted this anyway. The night is still young, let's pretend a little longer."
I felt like a monster.

I'm glad they didn't have him saying anything. Anyone who pulls out "I want to be friends" after leading someone on like that deserves silence.

I may or may not be considering making the most masculine "female" Trevelyan I can, using Sumalee's voice, and just headcanoning the rest.

On a happier note, I'd wonder how Dorian would react to the "Do you want a sandwich?" line from Anders' romance scene?

Hmmmmm......
I could make a boyish female... and headcannon they are an FTM.
It's a bit awkward, what with the breasts, but ehhhh.....

I've tried this several times actually. But I've failed to make a face that is aesthetically pleasing. It doesn't help that I *need* facial hair on my male characters, stubble at the very least. That's obviously not an option with female humans and elves. I've made a pretty convincing dwarf lady that legit looked like young guy. The stubble option that they have works wonders, but alas dwarves can't romance Cullen.

To be honest, this character creator isn't the greatest I've ever used (making a non-derpy elf eludes me) and I have yet to hit upon the combination of horrible allergies and allergy medicine that somehow, without reference yielded Arnold Schwarzenegger Shepard:

R/InquisitionSliders has a bunch of people who post and are willing to help create characters, they helped me make Jango Fett:

Oh. My. God. You people posting descriptions of all these. They sound horrible! And these writers are all heartless bastards!
I can't watch any of them. Reading the descriptions has been bad enough. Poor everyone. ![]()

I heard they were going to make him bisexual but apparently they ran out of time. It's a shame really, but then again it makes sense since in DA:O Cullen had a crush on females only too - and the Circle tower had only humans and elves. And well, I've been lusting after him since the first game so I'm just happy to have him //laughcry
I do a lot of reloading in my games because I love to abuse all the options possible. Even if they break my heart :') afterwards it has to be fixed of course and I try to heal my soul with all the lovey-dovey scenes.

Yeah, I'm probably just think of him as a transman who has yet to work up the nerve to ask Krem for binding advice or for everyone to refer to him with the right pronouns. Really the biggest problem for me is going to be the flouncing walking animation. Seriously, Bioware? The clothing, hair cuts, and make up are all gender neutral, but you're locked into walking like you've got jello for a spine?

Oh good gods, yes. I made a female elf and got to the bridge just so I could have the character ready, and the bouncy butt and dainty hands held out to the sides just... irks me. Okay, so yes, women do have a different center of gravity, and they do walk a little differently than men, but it's not that damn different! The only women I see walk like that seem to be doing it on purpose, because most of them don't.

No, really not! ![]()
I am female and, considering how many games I am "forced" to play as a man, I never create a male character given the choice. Anyway, I love Dorian. When he came up I was like "Oh, I want HIM!". Realizing he was no option for a female inquisitor was really sad. However, that's life and sometimes you gotta take it and stay true to yourself.

It's funny because, during cutscenes, many female characters walk like men and that happens since DAO.

I've just seen the scene where Dorian initiates the first kiss and man was that adorable. I loved the banter. It's a shame that it's buggy and doesn't properly register the romance initiation. I realized this when, on next going to Skyhold, the messenger was not there for the amulet quest as has been the case in my previous plays.
I'm going to try Allaiya's suggestion in this post and hopefully it won't bug out again. I'd really like to keep that as part of my play.

OK, so I'm getting toward the end of my first (but not my last) Dorian romance, and I'm loving it... but, as usual, I spoiled myself. I have a question about the last scene, the bedroom going into the balcony.
But yeah, thoroughly enjoyed the romance. The voice acting really did it for me.

IMO, it is more puzzling the uncertainty about Dorian's decision on staying or not staying, depending if you talk to him or not at the party.
