It's a shame that these dialouges give the IQ far more personality than he ever had. Why did they cut them out!?!??!?

They could also be glitched. Most of those lines are in the game already, though I agree the cut ones are quite lovely, especially Dorian's followup to the 'inquisit' line (which is definitely now my canon for Dorian to say  )

Is it Dorian? I thought "a little slower and a lot harder" was the Inquisitor.

Ah so did the person take different romance lines from the IQ romances and cut them in as replies to Dorian? If so they did a good job!

Some were a bit cringe-worthy, to be honest, and I don't mind that they were left out, but others were so warm and it would've been lovely had they been left in.

Ah, you might be right. I thought I hadn't heard a lot of the Dorian lines before, but it might just be that the change of context is throwing me.

If some of the Inquisitor's lines were simply spliced from the responses in other romances, I'd be quite peeved that my Inquisitor never had, as far as I know, the opportunity to say "I love you" to Dorian.

Ah, I missed that it was IQ. I only listened to it on my phone before heading to work, and the speaker ain't to good on that thing.

 

Danaduchy is one of those who has been delving into the game resource files directly, iirc. Just like they've found romance lines for Solas/Cullen to use with male IQs, and the conversations between Morrigan and Alistair/Loghain about Kieran, and the lines for the Dalish IQ to tell Morrigan to **** off, thank you, they know Dalish lore just fine (i might be paraphrasing that last one)

 

So some of these lines might be pulled from other places in the resources, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were lines cut here or there between Dorian and IQ. DAO had hundreds of cut lines that were recorded and orphaned in the game resource files because they ran out of time/money to fully animate them and put them in the game.

 

So, fine. My canon is that IQ says that line to Dorian. Many times. It's still a good line.

I think it may be his graphics along with the fact that our elves appear to have a more refined/angular bone structure. In other words higher cheekbones. His elf also has longer hair so that may make the vallaslin appear harsh.

Well, I'm not bugged - finally got Dorian's quest tonight! Weird thing is, I can't think of anything that might have triggered it - I didn't get any approval bumps/drops, didn't leave Skyhold, didn't complete any quests. Just ran around for a bit speaking to random people and checking in with Dorian every so often in the hope that I might get the conversation about Felix. Nothing for half an hour or so, then all of a sudden I got the scene! Then I jumped straight down into Solas's chambers (and almost landed on his head in the process, lol), ran into the great hall, and lo and behold, Mother Giselle was there waiting to talk to me. I swear to God, I've never been so happy to see that faux-French penguin. So, no idea what happened, but I'm so relieved I don't have to restart!

Anybody else still get the occasional dialogue freeze? I had something similar to this happen yesterday:

I still get those dialouge wheel bugs but none a golden moment like that.

I got those all the time on my PS3, but I haven't had it happen since I upgraded to PS4.

I haven't gotten any of the dialogue wheel bugs since I started playing in Offline mode (ie, 'offline' in the Origin client). I only play online when I make a new character and need to contact the Keep.

 

Actually, that took care of most of the little annoyances I'd noticed except the banter one. Odd.

No, I never got those, though I did get a bug with the War Table the other day, wouldn't let me leave or go (I eventually got it to work eventually). That really was brilliant though.

I am really sad that they cut some of these.   I would have loved the "I love you" lines and convincing him to stay and the little relationship confidence talks.

I almost think I did too, but after romancing Dorian, I'm pretty sure I might have a thing for mustaches now. It's a bit concerning.
