Those arts. He is in the chain art, possibly in the female qunari art ( the guy that knees and holds the sword) and in the one with the ancient looking gate.
I definitely think he's the one in the art with the Qunari Inquisitor, but what other art are we talking about? The ancient gate?
Also, I'm not sure if he's the one leaning over the dwarven inquisitor, myself... but we'll see!

I think they mean this piece:
I've been wondering about that piece myself.

There's also this one:

Oho! Those definitely look like they could be him! I hope so. The Dorian concept was my favourite from the survey. Definitely hoping to make him my LI >_>
(I added the .gif to the OP because honestly it is amazing)
Nice spotting on the desert ruins pic, it certain looks like him. If the middle character is an Inquisitor, is the left one... Solas?
And what is DHMG holding in his right hand?

I thought Solas for the leftmost character because of the elfy ears, but it's hard to know for sure because I've never seen him drawn/rendered with flared gloves like that and the thing on his back sorta looks like a sword. Some staves look sword/spear-like though, so I'm totally lost. I just can't imagine who else it could be with those ears since the weapon doesn't look like something Sera would use (but again, who really knows!).
The middle and right (DHMG?) characters look like they're holding... sticks. lol at my underwhelming conclusion! I couldn't place them as anything else because they don't have any distinguishing features, like a cross-guard, and they might use a walking stick to help navigate the bottom of the lake thing.

The mustache it lives! ![]()
Just a thought, in Until We Sleep Mae says that she's heard rumours of a Magister exiled to the Anderfels who has figured out a way to restore life by grafting a spirit to a physical being.
Considering the Solas and Vivienne have been shown to be DPS mages we still haven't seen a healer archetype. I'm wondering if Dramatic Hands Moustache Guy is our man?
That would be nice.
I would actually have a healer in my party for once if that was the case.
It is sword behind him.
I like to think he's the guy unfortunate enough to be running your finances. His anger is with how expensive your every decision is "You want to build your keep WHERE?! You know there's no profitable resources in that area for miles, right?!"

This one. From left to right: The Inquisitor, someone else, Mustache Guy

Laidlaw said on the Gameinformer Podcast that followers will be able to perform all the roles of their class. Which is bloody good news.
Based soley on appearances in concept art, if my female Inquistor's male LI's are a choice between him, Grey Warden, and Baldy...DHMG seems like the winner to me.
I can see DHMG being our traditional support mage companion, like Wynne or Anders. I've mentioned this in another thread - I just get that vibe from him, for some reason.
DHMG seems like a gruff fellow, and I'd find it fun to have a "medic" companion who's very assertive. I'm a sucker for medics and healers in fiction who are quite rude or are always complaining, which contradicts the general "compassionate" flavour of their profession.
"Andraste's flaming sword, you're down again?"
"Maker, I've healed old women who can take more hits than you!"
"Stop whining, and get off of your arse, Inquisitor!"
Going with the idea that DHMG isn't Stroud, I'd say Dorian is a good bet. I'll agree that he does look rather mage-y and he just looks like someone that would have a classic sounding name. I guess it's the handlebar mustache that does it.
From the picture, he seemed more melodramatic than gruff.
Fabulous~

So... the Dragon Age version of Doc?
Permanent spot in my party status: Confirmed.
Ugh, if he's like Doc, Team Benchwarmer for him. I disliked Doc so much that I re-rolled my Jedi as a male. ![]()
Is the debate whether he's a mage or warrior still going? lol
