At the moment I'm going for a male elf mage Inquisitor, accompanied by DHMG and a combination of Solas/Sera/Iron Bull for my main party. When I first heard about being able to make a full mage party I was like 'YES!' but now I keep thinking 'who will unlock my chests and who will keep the attention away from my mages?'. I do plan on utilising the four-man glass cannons at least a couple of times though.

If Iron Bull and DHMG did become surprise bros as somebody suggested (which I love the idea of), that would dramatically increase my preference for him over The Warden. As much as people seem to love Cass, I do not see myself taking her out any more than I need to not feel like she's superfluous.

In regards to DHMG's relationships with other companions, I'm hoping he'll be besties with Iron Bull. They are standing next to one another in the trailer and I find it amusing that they both cross their arms.

 

I could see him butting heads with both Cassandra and Vivienne. (Totally hoping the fan art rivalry between him and Vivienne turns out to be accurate). 

Solas may not like him initially if Dorian is indeed a magister, for obvious reasons, but I think he will get along well with everyone else.

 I've never had an appreciation for facial hair, and indeed in previous concept arts I thought it was a pretty big flaw, aesthetically. Then I caught a glimpse of him in the inquisitor trailer and all I could think of was damn.

Lol, I think BioWare did pretty good with him.

I think people worry about this "stereotype" issue too much. It's not difficult to not make a character into a raging stereotype. The last thing I want is for them to try to stamp out any hints of gender non-conformity in a male LI just so we can be super sure he's not a "gay stereotype". That's absolutely not the way to be inclusive. I trust Bioware knows that.

He looks Italian or Hispanic to me. I hope he has an accent to match, despite Tevinters sounding just like Fereldens up to this point.

 

Maybe he's ethnically Antivan or Rivaini.

I do wonder what sort of accent he'll have. If they are doing the "dandy"/Dorian Gray theme I think he might just be British. I definitely wouldn't mind an Antivan style accent, though.

Ah, yeah I agree. He looks a bit Hispanic now. Mexican accent is nice I think, though I'm not sure they would have a special accent on him. Maybe they would make a bigger deal out if it now, make it distinctive, when there is more time and we'll see more Tevinters.
