Oh yeah! He looks good no matter what. I had to get used to the 'stache and almost didn't want to use the mod but after seeing the pics of him without it, I was in love all over again.

I wish Inquisition took place over a few years like DA2. So we could see the 'stache grow in.

I also love Dorian without moustache. It's funny because at first i thought his 'stache wasn't my type, then i met him and i thought his 'stache was just perfect and it would be weird removing it. But after that, i started watching a video of Dorian's scenes without moustache and after few minutes i got used to it and i couldn't stop watching it lol. I think it actually looks more natural watching it in video than in random pictures. I might use the mod for some playthrough, this man has natural charm even without his glorious moustache.

Dorian is my favorite character in DA:I. I love his cynical personality and witty retorts.

All right, all right, technically it's not art, but honestly, if that's not Dorian as a golden god, I don't know how much closer we can get to it in-game.  B)

No I didn't there is just to much leather ;) . How am I going bathe in his glory in all that armor? I hope that someone makes him a toga mod.

I'd be happier with a rhinestone-sparkly speedo mod, myself.

I was playing around with cinematic tools tonight, and got a couple pictures of Dorian that I loved. Thought I'd pop in and share them. Not nearly as amazing as Dorian with wings (seriously one of my favorite shots I've seen), but still... Dorian

This may be blasphemous, but I like this.

Here is a discussion topic for you all, prompted by this this thread about marriage.

Disregarding game limitations and whatnot, how do you think Dorian would feel about marriage? I don't feel that he would look very favorably on it as an institution, primarily because of what he observed with his parents, and also because of what was supposed to happen in his own life. I also don't think that marrying the Inquisitor is something that would occur to him unless prompted.

I totally agree with you. It just wouldn't occur to him as a possibility, since until the PC he doesn't really think being serious with another man is possible. I also don't see him reacting well the first time the Inquisitor brings it up. He doesn't really handle emotional stuff well and having another man proposing to him would definitely be emotional for him. Given a little space to think about it and being willing to argue that the Inquisitor really does want this and he would accept, it just wouldn't be as sweet and straight forward as Josephine.

I'd go with something along the lines of Vivienne's "marriage is just a matter of titles and inheritance" line. He's more enamored with the person behind the title of Inquisitor than all of the baggage that comes with it.

Or he responds with "That is a horrible idea, we have to do it." because it would irk Halward to no end. A few weeks later the Inquisitor realizes that he's unleashed Groomzilla on an unsuspecting Skyhold.

He'll probably make jokes about the Quizzy marrying an "evil Tevinter Magister"

Then he'll be concerned with people thinking he's finally gotten the IQ under his spell

Then he'll realize the IQ is very serious:

shocked.gif?w=440

Then he'll talk about how marriage isn't done out of love etc.

Then he'll say he needs to think about it aka drink about it.

Then he'll tell the IQ he's insane

Then he'll say they need to focus on Cory before any future plans are made cause they could both end up dead.

Overall, I see proposing to Dorian as a series of frustrating and touching conversations. He'll try to give the IQ many outs and it would be up to the IQ to press it further and further until you wring a "All right" out of him. lol!!

I think the inquisitor bringing up marriage with Dorian would probably result in one of those exceedingly rare instances of him being struck speechless, but aside from that I think his response could go either way. I don't think he would be overly negative about it just because of what marriage means to nobles, but he would likely be touchy about the topic if not downright avoidant of it. Honestly, I could see him either accepting after much hesitance and uncertainty or entirely dismissing and denouncing the institution of marriage as a whole.

Been listening to Xelle's Queen all day long and been wondering how Dorian would look like as a drag queen... Nah, doesn't fit him. However, I could see him dancing to the tune.

Dorian: You know, usually this sort of thing would involve my lackeys kidnapping you in the night and delivering you to the throne room of my fancy mage tower. "Bathe him and bring him to my chambers!",maniacal laughter, all the classics.

Now stubble Dorian is a mod I could get behind.

As far as marriage, I think he would probably drag his feet about it at first. I'm not sure if he'd laugh it off, get defensive because of his baggage, or just be speechless like he is when you turn him down for sex but want to be with him, but I think he'd be all about it once he had enough time to stew on it and process it all. He's a total romantic under all the bluster.

The world needs Groomzilla Dorian. Immediately. If only to prove how impressive Josephine's diplomatic skills are.

I could definitely see him refusing out of principle, arguing that marriage does not equal love, or your bond is more important than a piece of paper or, more cynically, marriage hasn't been a joyful occasion for most of the people he knows. If he did accept, though, I'd imagine one of three scenarios:

1) The one mentioned above, where he thinks that Quizzy is joking, is struck speechless, and is then stunned but delighted.

2) Initially refusing, then mulling it over, realising that yes, actually, this just might be something he wants, then turning around and re-proposing to the Quizzy himself (if anyone's proposing, it'll be him: he does like to be in charge of some things, thank you very much, and he certainly has better taste in accessories like jewellery).

3) Blindsiding both the Quizzy and the player by squeeing happily and immediately agreeing just in case his fiance changes his mind; having to chase off every noble who thinks a marriage with the Inquisitor would be politically advantageous gets tiring after a while. Let's see them try to take on his legal spouse.

I would think the first one would be far more likely: the third would probably be done just to surprise the player, and the second sounds rather like another DA love interest (albeit without the marriage aspect).

Dorian: You know, usually this sort of thing would involve my lackeys kidnapping you in the night and delivering you to the throne room of my fancy mage tower. "Bathe him and bring him to my chambers!",maniacal laughter, all the classics.

That line should be put into the game. That is EXACTLY the kind of thing Dorian would say.

He talks to some of the other members, I remember with Sera he tries to tell her about the Qun but she shoots him down. I think he says something to Vivienne as well, but I don't recall.

He does. He first remarks how she must be glad that the Circles are disbanded and she is free to do as she pleases, in a somewhat contemptuous tone, expecting her to answer in the affirmative.

Instead, she says outright it would be best if they were reinstated again, as she does throughout the game, earning from him the comment that for her, as a mage, this is a very responsible thing to say. With a tone that does imply what I would call respect for her.

Going by memory, haven't yet found a recording of this constellation.

So, I guess Gatt is an ass no matter who you bring? I've only done Bull's personal quest twice (I'm getting really lazy about talking to him, unfortunately) and once I had Dorian and once I had Solas. I definitely got Solas and Gatt arguing, but I don't remember anything with Dorian. I guess whatever wheel option I took discouraged it?

Anyway, yeah, I never liked that guy, regardless of being a Qun lapdog. I honestly would have preferred a Tallis cameo there frankly.

The raeg that would have created, though...

Saying that as someone who does not mind Tallis. Ultimately, he is not a PR-guy, that's for sure, although that's not exactly what the Qunari thought would be necessary for this, I assume. And that aside, he is one more facet that, as someone else mentioned, shows that the Qun is made up of people, not cogs. His animosity toward Dorian is hardly surprising, if you question him about his background. He was, after all, a Tevinter slave before being liberated by Qunari.

Josephine: "In Tevinter, a wedding without at least two sacrifices is considered to be a rather dull affair." He can't be serious.

Inquisitor: He's nervous. Believe me, he spent three hours rambling on about tiny cakes last night.

Josephine: You look like you haven't slept in days.

Inquisitor: Fighting an ancient Magister is easy compared to dealing with House Trevelyan. Twenty years in the Circle without so much as a letter and now they're wondering why I haven't introduced them to my intended. Why are you blushing?

Josephine: Because this is so wonderful! No civil wars, or assassins, just something out of a storybook!

Dorian: (walking in) Only this time the Tevinter mage isn't brutally murdered. Instead he and the hero ride off Into the sunset with an angry mob in pursuit! How riveting!

I find it funny extremely funny to picture Dorian as a groomzilla. I wonder what his wedding robes would look like?
