I find it funny extremely funny to picture Dorian as a groomzilla. I wonder what his wedding robes would look like?

Probably traditional Tevinter garb, he might be estranged from his family but he still loves his homeland.

This would require In Hushed Whispers but I could see Alexius offering Dorian his formal robes. He's more of a father figure to Dorian than Halward's been, and Felix sadly never had the occasion to need them.

Either that or he gets the Pavus family ceremonial garb:

Dorian: Poor father, Nana Pavus must have put the screws to him to get him to send these.

Inquisitor: Nana Pavus?

Dorian: Imagine if you would Vivienne, except a former Magistrix, and a few feet shorter with grey hair. The woman has a tongue sharper than mine.

Inquisitor: She sounds adorable.

Dorian: She's a formidable alchemist, spends her days in her laboratory brewing various poisons...and she makes those little cookies with jam in the center, delightful! Nana Pavus is the only woman besides mother who can strike fear into father's heart. I'd assume that she wasn't happy that her son apparently caused her Little Dori ran off and joined a band of southern rebels.

Inquisitor: Dori?

Dorian: Please don't start calling me that.

Josephine: "In Tevinter, a wedding without at least two sacrifices is considered to be a rather dull affair." He can't be serious.

Inquisitor: He's nervous. Believe me, he spent three hours rambling on about tiny cakes last night.

Josephine: You look like you haven't slept in days.

Inquisitor: Fighting an ancient Magister is easy compared to dealing with House Trevelyan. Twenty years in the Circle without so much as a letter and now they're wondering why I haven't introduced them to my intended. Why are you blushing?

Josephine: Because this is so wonderful! No civil wars, or assassins, just something out of a storybook!

Dorian: (walking in) Only this time the Tevinter mage isn't brutally murdered. Instead he and the hero ride off Into the sunset with an angry mob in pursuit! How riveting!

What??? Did you forget my screenshot already?

All right, all right, technically it's not art, but honestly, if that's not Dorian as a golden god, I don't know how much closer we can get to it in-game.  B)

Where was this screenshot taken?

It would be a little bittersweet, Dorian is going to return to Tevinter. The ceremony is a way to show that he's not afraid of the bottom falling out of his relationship with the Inquisitor any longer and that they're ready to move forward together.

I just thought of something that would have been an awesome idea to have had in DAI. You know how the Inquisitor had a set armor style. What if the Inquisitor's armor style change to match the style of their love interest? I just thought that was cool idea.

I'd recommend taking the shot after the Keep is claimed and before you open the floodgates and drain old Crestwood. I took several shots of both, but I preferred the night-time shot as being more dramatic.

To compare:

In the rain:

tumblr_nhrmakR8Cb1u6rlcwo1_1280.jpg

In the sun:

DorianAngel_Day.jpg

Note I didn't edit either save to crop just a wee bit. The lighting engine used in the rain scenes just seemed to make the gold pop quite a bit more, and the surfaces that were slick were REALLY shiny, making the in the rain picture better overall (to my eye). Some may prefer the other, of course, but that was my experience.

Also, these are PS4 piccies and resolution, and I think the PS4 kicks shiny up to OVERDRIVE in the rain.

Maybe integrate some of the design cues from your LI's armor?

Dorian has the snake motif, maybe work it into the fabric pattern? Add in some of the shiny metal accents he likes?

Sera would probably add more red accents

Cassandra could add black/white accents or work the Seeker heraldry into the fabric pattern.

Josephine gives you a favor (think Fenris and Isabela's armbands) that matches her dress.

The leatherwork on the Inquisitor's armor resembles Bull's pauldron.

Cullen adds lion motifs, and a little bit of his fuzzy shoulder dealies.

So Dorian is adorable if you drink from the well. He basically threatened if I didn't make it through it he would kill me. I wish I could have gotten up and hugged him :)

No messenger standing near the spiral stairs in Solas' room? He didn't have an exclamation point marked on the map and I totally almost didn't realize I was supposed to talk to him the first time. Just happened to realize he said something to me as I went buy and noticed I could interact with him. I remember thinking it would be horribly easy to miss that guy.

He is just standing behind one of the owls in the Crestwood keep. The gold coloring is from the kings weave.

The wings aren't a part of the armor. It's just a statue he's standing in front of. I'm pretty sure that particular armor is loot you can get somewhere in Crestwood (I have him wearing the same thing right now and I didn't craft it). Or you can make your own with King's Willow Weave.

I found her. She must have glitched or something because she wasn't on the stairs. She was hanging around Solas's study on the opposite side, near the door to get to Cullen's office. Besides, I was doing a bit of googling and apparently you can go talk to Ponchard in Val Royeaux and that will activate the quest too.

Thanks for clarifying Joe25 and Disgusted Noise.  A little disappointed, I must admit lol.  Wings would be fitting.  But I'll be sure to put in in gold weave this new play-through.

If you get the letter from the messenger you are then able to ask Dorian about it first before going to Orlais. He's basically "How did you find out about... Oh Leliana." Explains the issue, and tells you to not bother with it.

It's really worth going this route because you get to see the whole progression of him being REALLY insistent that the IQ leave the matter alone. I also highly recommend that you bring him with you to Orlais.

I'm going to assume that if you go to Ponchard first you don't get any of this.

Also, not for nothing, although it's not directly mentioned, Dorian in general prefers that you don't go behind his back [this is assumed based on his dialog if you DO during Last Resort], so it's better to just ask him about it.

Tip: for instant quest completion as a Trevelyan pick the special noble option. (I don't recommend killing the guy, although D's response is humorous, if displeased.) I actually think that the noble is the best option here. Granted the "do you know who I am?" schtick is groan-worthy, but it yields the best results. Dorian only slightly disapproves because you're going against his wishes in interfering, you get the amulet immediately, and you don't let this POS get rewarded for bad behavior, which is what happens if you agree to the terms.

Whoa, there is a Noble option for dealing with Ponchard??? I have only played nobles and have never once had that option? Is it another bug?
