I'm having such a problem moving my game forward. I blame it all on Dorian and the cinematic free camera tool! I might have a slight (read: overwhelming addiction) to watching the repeatable kiss at different angles. And then setting it to different music songs. At this rate, I'll never get through to the end! (2nd playthrough, so at least I know what happens, lol)

 

I'm trying to decide if I should go to Adamant & the wardens first (bringing Dorian into the fade, obvi) or go to the party, and do the dancing bit first. I still have to get the amulet, too. Haven't decided when I want that scene to happen. I did play the love scene, because I just couldn't wait to see it (and make screenshots). But since I need both instant and delayed gratification, I went back to a save before it occurred, so that I could savor it happening, like dessert.

 

In regards to the amulet convo from earlier: When I did the amulet conversation (human, warrior), I had an option to use the "do you know who I am" speech, but I think because I'd taken the perk at the war table, there was never an option for violence. It segued directly into a "I'll ruin your social standing" type deal, and he promised the amulet would be waiting back at skyhold.

 

Tonight I discovered this angle while playing with the free camera, and gahhh, the muscles in Dorian's shoulder & fingers in the hair:

 

 

Also, love this forehead touch part of the kiss.

I just wanna say... constant checking of this thread makes it difficult to continue my femIQ x Cullen romance play and not just restart my guy Trevelyan over again (which I'm planning to do after I finish this one.)

@nightscrawl: I hear you! I really want to try out all the romances, but I'm stuck on Dorian & Blackwall. I keep making characters for the others, but then they stall out because I just go back and replay bits from my favorite parts!

Has the patch come out yet that fixes the Dorian romance bug on the XBox One?  I've got a playthrough on hiatus until they fix it and I just checked again and still no Mother Giselle.

Yeah Ratpack I kind of hate you right now. I've tried to make a human male Inquisitor whose appearance I'm happy with and have yet to succeed but that boy is pretty unf worthy.

haha, my problems are 1) i can't make a female character i'm happy with, and 2) all my male characters that i do like end up like this - tanned redhead with p0rn lips... i'm that person who's only good at making the one thing

I honestly can't tell if you're joking or not. Text and all that. But just in case... he doesn't actually know time magic. When he worked on it with Alexius it was all theory, they could never get it to work. Also, the breach is the only thing that made its use possible, so the time travel can only occur within the time frame of the breach's existence. Besides, if you have Alexius research magic, Dorian specifically suggests that you be wary of using anything that Alexius discovers. Also, Dorian is generally not a fan of careless use of magic.

This is just headcannon, but I assumed Haste was the result of Dorian tinkering with Time Magic.

Didn't we have an inconclusive discussion about what triggers Dorian's end game dialogue about staying longer a while back? Theoretically he leaves eventually anyway but his dialogue differs a bit at the end depending on one thing or another.

 

I would like something akin to the concept art, which is more Tevintery, and similar to what Alexius was wearing.

Though this has its merits as well, it would probably result in someone if not multiple someones' untimely deaths due to pc negligence and friendly fire if it ever happened.

I literally just did this So basically when you have the conversation after the Temple of Mythal if you go with the "If you need to go, I understand" option when you talk to him at the party he'll say that he's decided to go back, but he wouldn't be leaving right away. However, if you go with the "But I need you here option" he'll say that he's decided to stay for now because "there's no you in Tevinter". There might be other things which play into it, but I know changing those two things does flip what happens.

 

I think either way he'll head back to Tevintor eventually, he sort of has to, but just the tone is different. It'll be interesting to see what happens in DLC.

I'm fine with him going back to Tevinter. I love that about him. I just don't want him to go on his own.

i will point out the haste spell existed in origins as well though in this game it slows down enemies to give the illusion of you having super speed

Yes, this is the reason I am unsatisfied with the Inquisitor's limited response.
