And "because i love you, Dorian", would be a perfect moment to tell him that. I also miss more dialogue and romantic options, I guess i can never get enough of Dorian.
But at least, after finishing this PT with male IQ, I have to say I totally loved this little scene and dialogue at the end with Dorian, when IQ walks to his quarters and Dorian stops him:
Dorian: Going somewhere, Amatus? You didn't think one brief chat would be enough, did you?
IQ: Did you need me for something...?
Dorian: I do, come with me.
I love how IQ is like expecting a kiss, but instead Dorian pushes him into his quarters, lol! These gifs that show that scene in different angles are great:
I'm already thinking to make another male PT to romance Dorian.... Not sure if i will make a Trevelyan or another Lavellan, I think i will go with an elf mage first. It's first time i feel like replaying a game so many times in row, it's all Dorian's fault for being so irresistible.
The Inquisitor has a huge army, a world-class spy network, and a full diplomatic corps...that he probably wouldn't hesitate to use if Dorian asked for help. I'm not sure if its Dorian's personal pride where he wants to be the son of the Imperium who helped save it, or if he doesn't want another southern army marching in to "fix things" again
It's a little of everything, I guess. Kinda reminds me of Carver, poor sod was also obsessed with becoming something important. I think more than anything else, Dorian wants to prove himself, that's why he says that he doesn't want the Inq to do all the work for him "again".

Granted, I sent Calpernia and her Venatori back to Tevinter. We've no way to tell if she survived, but Magister Erasmus' statement that "She could do it, and rule with a heart of steel." makes me wonder if it was a good or bad thing. I don't get the impression that Dorian
wants to be Archon, he just has his nebulous plan of "go home and make it better" concept.
Considering that Calpernia is a former slave, I think at first her rule would be very difficult to accept and there would be a lot of fighting. However, I think she could actually be a great leader and make Tevinter better for the people rather than the magisters.
I don't know... I don't really see him being in that much danger. Despite his problems with it, he would probably have his family name to thank for that. Perhaps a bit more danger than Magister Telani (she also opposed the Venatori and is somewhat radical) given that Dorian was a part of the Inquisition and that can be seen as threatening.
Dorian just said "I really do like to watch you leave" showing the true attractiveness of my female qunari has no barriers. It must be a bug or something ![]()
Lol, he just likes qunari that much.
To the point of admiring even the female ones.
He says that to my fem-Lavallen...Dorian is just an incorrigible flirt - and honestly, would we have him any other way? Even though I've exhausted conversation with him for the time being, I still go upstairs and click on him just to see what he'll say when I leave. Can't get enough of that man! *swoons*

I'm a bit torn with Dorian. I love him dearly, but part of me would have liked him as a bi romance option, yet the Dorian he is now is who I liked in the first place (his personal quest is beautiful), and just like he said, if he was different, he wouldn't like himself. Out of all my characters, including a romanced Cullen, Dorian unexpectedly became my female Inquisitor's best friend in the game, especially after we bonded in the future world. He's become my fav character!

I think the key is to focus on what he says during the post- Temple of Mythal dialog. Here he has a hard truth that he knows will knock his countrymen down a peg, which he feels they deserve. The entire mindset of Tevinter supremacy, and thus any actions and behaviors related to that, is based on distorted history and he wants to go and tell them this.
I'll wager that there are a lot of moderates who might be swayed. These are the people who know they benefit from the current structure, but although they do see its problems they don't really care enough to change it. In fact, I will go as far as to say that these are probably the majority, rather than the "BWAHAHAHA I'm an insane power-hungry evil Magister!" But nothing is ever done because these people are comfortable in their own lives and probably see the moral crusaders as an annoyance. There are a lot of people like this in real life as well.
The main problem that I see with Dorian's "plan" is that he has no proof. He allegedly went to a hidden ancient temple, supposedly spoke to an ancient elf there who told him that the elves basically destroyed themselves long before Tevinter came along and the Imperium just picked at the carcass, and he actually expects people to believe that? IMO the only people who will probably go along with it are the super book-wormy historians and scholars who already had inklings of this to begin with. Most others will laugh in his face.
BUT, I will say that sometimes releasing a nugget of information and spreading doubt is all that it takes. You need a single ember to start a fire. This is probably what Dorian hopes to be.
My Lavellan will seriously worry if Dorian tries to go it alone back in Tevinter. Not only did he tell him the story about the Black Divine having to leave a function early because he had a bit of assassinating to do himself but when my guy trains as an assassin he tells him that the Crows have got nothing on the people back in Tevinter. I've not reached the end of my Dorian run yet, so I still hold out hopes of changing his mind, but if he did go back then Lelianna's agents will be working double time to watch his back for me. Reminds me a bit of Varric and Merrill. Merrill saying how she never has any trouble on the streets and Varric saying how its costing him a fortune to keep it that way. I could just imagine Dorian writing love letters saying how everything is fine and no one has laid a finger on him and Lelianna muttering in the background as the Inquisitor reads it (since she intercepts everyone's mail).
Before finding out the truth behind the fall of Arlathan I wondered why Tevinter didn't just repeat the ritual that they used to sink the city into the earth on Seheron.
I don't recall any lore saying Arlathan was sunk into the earth, just lost. Perhaps you're thinking of that one Tevinter city that Solas mentions?

Whatever the case, Arlathan had fallen to the very humans our people had once considered mere pests. It is said that the Tevinter magisters used their great destructive power to force the very ground to swallow Arlathan whole, destroying eons of collected knowledge, culture, and art. The whole of elven lore left only to memory.

I'm always down for Cullrian, but is chin licking some sexual activity I've been missing out on? Because that's just odd.
Curly and Sparkler sitting in a tree, K.I.S.S.I.N.G.
-Varric Tethras.
These fan artworks are making it slightly harder for me to romance Dorian next time I play male inquisitor.

I stand corrected. Guess I'm rustier on my DAO codexes than I thought. Looks like I may have to play through it again and brush up a bit , darn ![]()
Too much Dorian/Cullen fanart not enough Dorian/Adaar fanart. Get on that, world. Or possibly Dorian/Lavellan fanart. I still haven't decided.

Psh, almost all of Dorian fan art is with Lavellan. Then Bull, Cullen, Trevelyan, and Adaar in that order. Poor Cadash.
Poor Cadash.
Right? I think I've found like two that even have Dorian and a male dwarf in the same frame. Poor dwarves in general. They always seem to get the short (~snicker~) end of the stick when it comes to fandom devotion. Not that that means I'm going to roll one now. I saw the dancing animations and if that's representative of how the rest look... I'm not that much of a masochist. Adaar is bad enough.

I guess many players look down on dwarfs...
ehem
but anyway, yes, we finally get diffrent races again, and all I can play are humans, because dwarf = bad romance animations, qunari = bad romance animations, elves = muscle atrophy, ugh
off topic, I had a funny experience with the nightmare demon fight in the fade, where the aspect kept targeting poor dorian for no reason. for a moment I thought it was actually a game mechanic that made it attack the love interest above all else, with the whole 'your worst fears' angle, but I guess it was just coincidence... still, I was playing a warrior inquisitor and kind of expected to be the main target, but I spent the entire fight chasing after that teleporting bastard instead, whacking him with my sword, going 'leave my bby alone!' while it beelined for dorian constantly
on the plus side, this made the fight stupidly easy, I don't think there was a time I even fully lost my guard ![]()
