Inspired by the eye convo I decided to learn how to mod eyes.  From what I learned, darker eye colors tend to turn much lighter in the engine than intended. So to get a light eye color you have to choose darker colors of the same type. It's a bit of trial and error. The pic below is my first attempt. It looks like the green color I selected didn't even make it in, or at least I can't see it. I'll have to tweak the colors a bit more.

 

 

He kinda looks like a vampire o_O. But i guess that suits his evil seductive twin brother.

I'm not 100% sure but i think it's using the mod to remove class restrictions from armors, basically because when you try certain medium or heavy armors on Dorian in the crafting section, they look like that one. I'm not sure if there is some light armor with that appearance.

 

Now that I've seen the link in the following quote, I believe you are correct.  The armor he is wearing in the photo I referenced is not on among those shown.

Sturdy Apprentice Armor or Coat (these both look the same). When you craft it you only change the color of the leather and the wrap, but adding a masterwork cloth changes the tunic as well. This is the red armor that Danaduchy features in her red Dorian screenshots that he looks so great in. I crafted one for him in my own game but ended up not using it. I found that I prefer the longer Enchanter Coat. The Apprentice version also removes his two books in favor of three scrolls, which I found unfortunate. Dorian needs his books!

I have the armor you mention here.  It is different than the one in the screenie I referenced.  It does look nice in red and other dark colors but I am not a fan of the chaotic hobo-skirt (Solas thinks so).  That armor is this one:

You don't need a mod to remove class restrictions, you just have to use Dales Laden Wool, Snofleur Skin, or Silverite in the main material slot.

Ooooh finally, i just tried in my game and crafted that armor with heavy schematic, and he could equip it, i didn't know you could equip those medium or heavy armor on Dorian, i just assumed he couldn't equip so i never tried to craft it before, so weird lol. Thanks!

One thing I've read/noticed about Frostbyte is that the lighting engine is TERRIBLY inconsistent at times, especially when it comes to eyes. I noticed it when I was fooling around with a different companion's eyes. It'd be interesting to see screenshots of the same modified eye color in different lighting situations and compare them. The eye texture is a bit of an odd one, after all. Looking forward to seeing your results!

I was so sad when I first saw him with grey eyes. He looks so much better with this color (but I still vote for a bit darker brown, I love brown )

The 2nd colour is nice and looks like natural green eyes to me, but from those 2 i guess i still prefer Dorian with Vampire eyes lol

I've just finished my conscripted mages run through and somehow ended up with Vivienne as Divine (I did forget to put my vote in for Cassandra before the final battle so will have to go back and see if it makes any difference).   Dorian said it reminded him of home having a mage at the top, except without the blood magic.  Anyway, it got me to thinking; which Divine out of Cassandra and Vivienne do you think he'd prefer?  I've still got Cassandra as Divine on my conscripted Templars run.   Also which Divine might help him most in reforming his homeland?    It occurred to me that having Vivienne on the Sunburst Throne might shake things up a bit in the Magisterium and allow some reform voices to be heard.   Certainly the female members would be pushing for consideration for the post of Black Divine.  What do you think?

I think Viv is too vested in her own personal power to meddle much outside of Orlais. Cass wants stability and there's a lot  to stabilize. Hardened Leliana would be my best guess. You can't slow her ruthlessly optimistic roll yoh.

I was thinking more from the perspective of outsiders looking in.   Tevinter will obviously have been watching with interest.   They had already asked the Inquisition to deal with the Venatori cult on their borders (Nevarra claimed the same area so you had to acknowledge one request or the other - I chose Tevinter).    Leaving aside Lelianna as she wouldn't be a contender on my two conscript playthroughs, I would have thought that Cassandra would be viewed by Tevinter as pretty much the same as before, even with reform.   Vivienne on the other hand would be seen as a radical choice and her harsh but successful dealing with dissent would probably be approved of by the Magisters.     Also if the Divine is meant to be the earthly icon of Andraste, then the Tevinter would feel that the south had finally acknowledged their interpretation of Andraste as a mage.   She wouldn't necessarily have to interest herself at all in Tevinter politics for it to have an impact on thinking there.   However, Vivienne does have correspondence with mages in Tevinter; she received a letter about Dorian.    Given that even in Tevinter it is known that Dorian is the Inquisitor's paramour, it might even be assumed that Dorian had some part in getting a mage sat on the Sunburst Throne (even though he didn't) and that could improve his standing back home.   After all it is widely acknowledged that Vivienne owes her success to the backing of the Inquisition (even if the Inquisitor himself doesn't actually remember doing so).

 

Have just been back and replayed the end after voting for Cassandra and she did get made Divine.   So in this case at least it all depended on my vote.   Now I have just have to decide which ending is better and the main difference does seem to be the mage Circle and how much unrest there is.

Is that  a slight kink in his nose? Did Dorian get his nose broken at some point?

Probably, considering that he frequents taverns he's probably been punched in the face at some point.

I would still go a little bit darker with the hazel eyes (or maybe more on the brown side?), but they look much better than the Edward Cullen ones, haha. And I don't think his nose is crooked. I just think that because his bridge is a bit on the protruding side, it can make the highlight and shadows go wonky depending on the in-game lighting.

Adding to the eye discussion... I've always noticed that they were gray. Or I guess in actuality that it is a very pale blue that just looks gray.

I've seen them as gray also. I've always loved his eyes. I wasn't around to see any pre-game character art, as I was keeping myself from being spoilered at all, so to me that is just his eye color, and it seems weird when it's changed! I'm kind of happy they made it this color, because to me, he looks wonderful with the gray eyes. And in DAO and DA2 all my favorite love interests had brown or hazel eyes, so this game was a nice change for me.

Thanks for posting that mod! It pretty much renders the one I just made obsolete but I don't mind.  I might go a bit crazy with it for a while lol!
