Yea I wish I could figure out some rhymer or reason behind who lights up, but I am totally stumped ><

 

I'm pretty sure my Cannon pt will be Morrigan drinking from the well for a few reasons. I still have 3 more PTs planned though I don't think any of them will drink either. I just wanted to have one where I did just to see what it was like

 

It seemed to have no effect on Dorian staying. Originally I did the whole "I understand if you need to leave" because I was trying to be supportive and at the end he said he was going to leave. So I went back to a save right before that convo and chose the "But I need you option" and at the end he said he was going to stay.

I have a save just before the Well decision so I can always change my mind if I wish.  I have a whole stack of alternative saves currently for my male Lavellan.   

 

As you may note from an earlier post, I am trying to decide whether or not to let Vivienne become Divine instead of Cassandra since everything hinges on whether I support Cassandra or not.   It is odd that when I first met Vivienne, as a female mage Lavellan, I couldn't stand her and barely talked to her the whole game but my male Lavellan has actually got on quite well with her and trailing her around with me in my party has made me appreciate her more.  

 

I'm also trying to make up my mind whether I prefer my conscripted Templar run (Dorian slow burn romance) or conscripted mage run (Dorian jump into bed romance).   I really do prefer the Calpurnia sub-plot but I want to save Alexius and Felix for Dorian's sake.    Decisions, decisions.

This might have been addressed in the thread before, I seem to have a vague recollection, and I apologize if it has, but I can't find the info, and I'd like to know - what triggers this?

 

 

I mean, Dorian appearing in this Cass/Inquisitor convo... I'm fairly sure it didn't happen for me before? Meaning, I had this Cass friendship scene without Dorian being... ugh, somewhat mean about it? Does it have sth to do with flirts?

I have the same issues between the Templars and Mages, though I always ally with both

 

Vivianne is definitely a character who is really easy to just write off as being not worthwhile, but I have come to the conclusion she's not nearly as bad as she initially seems. Once you break through some of that bluster she gets much better. And she has one banter with Dorian about the letter she gets from a friend in Tevinter that always makes me want to hug her.

I think it has to do with how high your approval rating is with Dorian.    I don't recall getting it on my Templar run (where he starts off on a lower base) but have got it on my latest mage run.   It has nothing to do with jealousy as I've not so much as looked at anyone else on this run.

This game definitely has some complex decisions that feel like a no win regardless how I play it.  I had to let Dorian go.  Much as my Trevelyan loves him, my head canon says he has a destiny (I hope).  A man has only so many years to achieve greatness and the longer he is away from Tevinter the more he loses ground with any allies he once had there.  Trevelyan just couldn't accept delaying him when he could be covertly helping him.  But I have a save in case I find out later he's been served up Caesar style

Huh, I kind of wish it was actually related to flirting... it would give the romances a bit of added depth, in my opinion. There's so little recognition regarding your choices, both big and small, from other characters in Inquisition beyond the scrolling 'X thinks that's somewhat ok', 'Y thinks you suck' text messages...

 

Still, I'm always pleased to get more surprise Dorian appearances, for whatever reason.

I didn't know you could get Cole in that convo o_O. In my Templar run with female i didn't get any of them, it was just Cassandra. And in my Mage run with male i got Dorian, i was surprised to see him appear teasing Cassandra lol. In that PT with male i also flirted with Cassandra for RP reasons and to see what happened (but only before my IQ met Dorian), so my headcanon was that Dorian was teasing Cass because he knew my IQ flirted with her before, and at the same time he was keeping an eye on my IQ so he doesn't flirt with her again xD. But that would never happen again because i was totally loyal to Dorian after meeting him, and he makes it really easy to be loyal to him anyways. 

 

But yea i guess it has something to do with the approval because in mage path you start with higher approval with Dorian. I also wish it was related to flirting, it would be interesting to see more extra scenes, but that's why i made my own headcanon xD.

Whoa, I've never gotten that scene either! I also flirt with both.  But I also have the banter bug, quest triggering bugs et al.

Wait, isn't guilty pleasures quest after the Dorian scene... I'm sure in my playthrough i first talked to Cassandra, Dorian appeared and then after that scene i had the quest to talk to Varric and i told him to give Cassandra the book.

Correct.  You beat me to it.  Dorian's appearance is in the first segment.  Talking to Varric is in the second segment.  Giving the book is in the third.

I do believe the assumptions above are correct that it has to do with standing whether he shows up or if Cole does.  I've never had Dorian fail to show but I've always had him fairly buttered up before I triggered Guilty Pleasures.  I've triggered this before and after Dorian's personal quest with the same results so his appearance does not hinge on that, apparently.   Just chat him up real good and maybe a bit of flirting (you don't have to commit) and he should show up.

Not sure, maybe it also depends on approval with Cole or it was some bug :S. I just watched a video with the Cole scene and it was cute.

Ohh I guess since he's not from the south and Templars aren't really a thing in Tevinter there wouldn't be the same sort of potential for conflict there. Idk debating about it. I already have 2 mages. But then again I am enjoying my current Champion... I'll probably never be done with this game ><

He mentions something about the difference between northern and southern Templars too, if you pick the spec, but I can't really recall what it is (which means it probably wasn't all the interesting).

He mentions that you smell different. Lyrium apparently smells like the air after a lightning strike. He goes on to mention that the anti-magic abilities of Southern Templars is a bit disconcerting and asks if you plan on joining the Order.

I'm kind of disappointed that only a couple characters comment on your specialization. Varric and Bianca only really bring up the Artificer:

Inquisitor: The "little toys" that help keep yourself safe? Like that staff I made you?

Is it weird that I've been stalling my next playthrough to finish The Last Court so I can get these windows? They are very  sexy windows. I think I'm gonna change my worldstate too. My Warden will now be a City Elf who romanced Morrigan and made the OGB and Alistair will be king (I am not choosing between him and Hawke) and I'll go back to my Anders/Hawke romance.

 

ADD ALL THE POIGNANCY. Or most of it anyway.

I know this isn't Dorian related. But I just watched the latest episode of Black Sails.

 

My favorite character (Captain Flint) had a huge reveal. I'm so happy!
