Ugh, I'm really enjoying Inquisition, but one of the things that bug me is that the pacing can be pretty off...
Like in this playthrough, I took many choices in the early hours that pleased Dorian, and so I kinda got swept in an avalanche of his conversations and quests, to the point that I had to deliberately engage him in dialogue a couple of times in a row, just to make sure I didn't miss anything.
To paraphrase a certain banter by Sera... 'Too high! Felix! Too fast! Mother Giselle! Kiss! Mother Giselle again! Amulet! Bedroom scene!
literally, one after the other... and then, like, two lines of dialogue for the rest of the playthrough. It somehow felt more organic on my Templar run, which, all things considered, really shouldn't be the case.
But I guess I could also blame my compulsion to do anything Dorian required of me the very minute it appeared in my quests list.
I got everything bam! bam! bam! like that, too.
I'm really trying to make my playthrough stretch out and have better pacing, but it's so hard to resist. I know after the amulet and the bedroom scene it'll be sparse, so I've been putting it off. Only, I kinda cheated, because I couldn't really resist. When I got the amulet, I did the quest and made a save right there, so I can go back and re-play the amulet & bedroom scene any time I want to... but then I reloaded to a time previous, and haven't "officially" done the quest/bedroom scene yet. So it's still in their future. (and I've seen the future, and it's glorious)
body hair talk: Since Indian doesn't necessarily mean fine or sparse body hair, Dorian could be anything people want to head canon. Let your imaginations run with whatever you prefer!
I haven't been to India, but was in a long term thing (8yr) with an Indian guy, which meant alllll his huge extended family, many who still lived in India. Most of them had a good deal of chest and facial hair (and umm, back hair), but their calves were more fine. I wouldn't say any of them had sparse body hair, but it wasn't nearly as thick as the Italian or Israeli men I've dated. ((Yes, it seems I have a thing for men from countries that start with I, I swear it was accidental! Checkmark for Irish, still missing Icelandic!)) Fun bit -- gray eyes ran in the family, hitting one or two out of every generation. He had cousin that in retrospect looked sooo much like Dorian. Makes me want to ring him just to find out what his cousin is up to.
