I've had another random thought about Dorian and that is, do you think he has a gambling problem?    I was looking up the conversations between him and Varric in the Wiki (because I've never had them in the party together) and it seems practically every conversation involves some form of gambling.

 

Then I got to wondering, where does Dorian get his money from?    He was meant to be so badly off that he had to sell his amulet.    Does the Inquisition pay some sort of stipend to the Inner Circle?    I know Bull and his Chargers are paid officially from the coffers as mercenaries.   Sera gets the kick backs from her schemes.   Varric has his own merchant operation.   Vivienne probably still gets something as Court Enchanter and anyway I should imagine her lover had her nicely set up (she'd have insisted on it).   Cole wouldn't care about money and Solas has more important matters on his mind, so neither of them would be bothered.   That leaves Blackwall, who may be getting funds from Grey Warden sources, and Dorian, who has no discernible source of private income at all.

I don't think Dorian has a gambling problem. It's just something he and Varric do for fun. I do imagine my IQ giving Dorian money to spend though...ya know, for Inquisition work.

I think he does Crossfit. They specialize in short, intense workouts . . .

What?   Dorian's nose is truly my most favorite part. I have such a weakness for strong noses, and I just adore his prow and the bump on the bridge and just everything. I'll defend that beak to the death lol!

I love his unconventional nose too (and I'm usually more of a chin/jaw sort of guy) it keeps his face handsome rather than pretty the way a more refined nose would.

That reminded me of one time i told Dorian to do something interesting and he was like "If you insist, a game of Wicked Grace will have to do. Time to take all your coin." It was funny because i imagined Dorian winning and my inquisitor ending naked in front of Dorian...   and we know what would happen next   

 

Thinking about it, it would be awesome if there was an actual wicked grace minigame where you could bet clothes with Dorian, would be much better than screen fading to black

Add me to the list of people who love Dorian's nose. It just suits him so well. In marble, indeed.

I never have this problem. I use all of my gold to buy influence. I can never buy anything else, but I can usually end the game with 20+ influence levels.

 

Maybe I should start doing this. Last few playthroughs I've been buying Skyhold decorations but most of them are pretty meh... And I always end with sooooooo much gold ><

I used mine to buy all the armor and weapon schematics in the game. I am happy Josephine handles all the big money, or there would be no Inquisition. I'm going to have to make new character when they add the black market so I can by things. What happen to getting coins when you put a prayer garden in Skyhold?

I'm really liking this fan art: the gold around his eyes and allllll the piercings. Yum. I wish there had been robes in black and gold for Dorian, or his formal clothes In Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts featured black and gold vs red and blue.

Haha.  You all took that to mean I didn't like his nose.  I never said I didn't like the nose.  I'm a fan of unconventional looks.  

It's a regal, dominating nose.  The sort to one day grace an Archon Bust.  I mean overall, even from the oddest angles he's a very handsome man.  But the moment Halward walked into the room it was hard to miss that he didn't get it from his father.

I'm having that sort of evening where I logged in but I'm not getting much done because I'm too busy enjoying some one on one time with Dorian while he rides Horsie-Poo all through the rivers and dales of the Emerald Graves.  Don't know about anyone else but anytime the horse comes out, it's Dorian in the saddle, me thumbing the space bar to get the horse to canter rather than trot or gallop.  Much more fashionable that way.

This man.... is fabulous. I NEVER play male characters in games and I'm about 99.9% certain that I will make a male character JUST so I can romance him. I shed a tear that he isn't bisexual, but I'm willing to swing the bat for him. I've found I connect with more characters in this game than the last ones, and Dorian is a major one that tugs at my little heart strings and makes me squee like a little fan girl. lol
