This was most likely already mentioned/posted in the thread, but eh, I just discovered it, after playing a bit with the new armor tint 
I think it goes rather well and themed for Dorian, giving his card. I'm reffering to the serpent on his armor I'm curious now if he gets a similar serpent motif on the medium and heavy armors as well 
Now comes the hard bit so far as disciplining myself is concerned. I am meant to be romancing Cassandra this time but with a male PC there is always going to be that temptation to succumb to Dorian's charms. I have to keep telling myself that I would be cheating on my previous Dorian romance, my hunter Lavellan. May be it wouldn't do any harm to have a little flirt, or would it?
My recommendation would to not flirt with Dorian if at all possible. I know once i start flirting with him on a male character romancing him is quickly a done deal afterwards.
I sided with the Templars this run through, and came out of a conversation with Vivienne discussing what a good Divine Cassandra would make with the 'support Vivienne as Divine operation available' message
I told Leiliana I thought she'd make a horrible Divine, and tried to talk to Cassandra about it, but it never came up - nor did I get an operation on the war table. By game's end, Cassandra informed me that the Grand Clerics were going to name her Divine, which is what I wanted all along, but I thought I got to pick lol Sorry, Vivi darling, you are going to be stuck as Grand Enchanter
My most recent game I had that convo with Viv and I was soooo scared she was going to end up divine. Incidentally, I don't think she was actually saying she thought Cass would be a good choice. From her wording and things she had said earlier it seemed to me that she was trying to point out potential flaws with Cass which are also her strong points, but without being obvious about it. I didn't do the wartable operation though and ended up with unhardened Lelianna

Based on comments tonight, here is better shot featuring arm, glove, bare shoulder and almost profile action. With a lot less of those Robin Hood leggings. Sweet dreams. I'm out

I'm still continuing to not patch my game for a while (at least until I finish this play). Was anyone able to tint to black? Or does it just (cosmetically) replace a material with some other material (e.g. plaideweave with lambswool)?

For what i saw, it just replaces a material with another one, so still can't make pure black armor for Dorian -.- .It's a shame, i was hoping for some tints instead of replacing material.

Well, you can tint things you couldn't before. Like my favorite armor (when I'm not playing a dwarf with their stubby legs) is Warden Scout Armor and before I had no control over the fabric colors since there was no fabric slot when crafting the armor. Now I can make everything yellow if I wish.

Oh, sorry, I wasn't criticizing the players, I was referring specifically to the 'inclusivity' aspects of ME3 and their tacked-on For Great Profit! nature - how I see it, anyway.
I like ME, if not as much as DA (although I'll admit I may actually enjoy the gameplay of ME a bit more... what can I say, I like shooting stuff) but I also wrote my MA thesis on gender in video games, and there was a lot of problematic stuff in ME that I had to mention. Good for me tho, more pages for my work...

hehe It's ok I wasn't offended Small world, I wrote a paper on ME as well.
On the topic of armor tinting, my Dorian's red armor was created before armor tinting was released, but here's the rub. All they did was separate the stats and the color when making armor. Used to be you had to choose between having a really good stat and that really evil Plaid.
Also To make Dorian's armor look like that, I had to burn an enchanted leather in the enchantment slot to get that shimmering red color. Now I can build the armor on the best stats and enchantment possible without worrying about color. I could even put him all in that evil plaid. I just go to the tint table after and use more resources to adjust the colors. It's disappointing, but there it is.

I'd recommend patching for these two reasons. 1. They separated mesh quality from shader quality in settings. So now you can adjust them individually and get excellent results. 2. They struck a deal with the Lords of Mathematics and did a lot of tweaks to make the game run a lot smoother. I run my game on a big home built power PC and I noticed a huge difference post patch. Not a hitch or glitch or stutter to be seen. Like buttah.

I tend to look at it this way, it's a progression. They have made a lot of mistakes but those were sort of necessary to learn how to do it better. Also, because they continue to push the to greater diversity they will likely make more mistakes. It's happens and it's the biggest way humans learn. Basically as long as they recognize those issues and work on doing better the next time (something they do have a good track record of doing) I'm cool. The fact they are even trying as a AAA studio is a pretty big deal. I mean it wasn't that long ago Ubisoft told us we couldn't have female characters because it took too much time to create women; and including women is like the smallest bit of the diversity iceberg.

Mostly because I had horrible luck in getting schematics and the ones I had were bugged, or it was a general bug not sure (look didn't match the name, like something named "heavy boots" that looked like light boots... meh whatevs) so I think I never had the light boots made lol.
I will get them now even if stats are sh*t, it's worth it (and since I basically solo everything, companions are just for giggles so won't matter - result of the wonderful tac camera which made it impossible for me to micro manage every fight like in DAO).
It's sad I can't say a good thing about anything in DAI without 2 or more bugs coming to mind

Thanks. In that case I have them. Got everything that had to do with mage from the doggy (talking about my main who is mage). So I must have avoided them because of stats

The vipers are nice but I hate the boots that come with. They don't conform to the original model shape of his calf muscles. They remove them and make it look like he has bird legs.
I guess I feel blessed that apart from a bugged mosaic tile in Hinterlands, my play throughs have been bug free. I didn't play DAO so not sure what the difference is with the tac system. I'm not a heavy tac user since the DAI's Companion AI is beefier than most. Since I have their behaviors set to follow the Tank, they rarely need me because they finish most fights before my Rogue IQ gets many hits in hehe. It's a simple case of everyone chasing the tank, including me They fight while I loot. Because <rogue>
But when I do use the tac I haven't had any problems with it since they applied a fix.
