Honestly, people say Dorian looks like anyone who has dark hair and a mustache.

 

Maybe it's because I've been an artist since childhood, but lack of detail like that drives me nuts.  But it's a free world so I wont criticize

I've never seen this character, thx for the vid demonstration hehe.  After living in the Greece, Middle East and parts of India, Dorian's hand gestures look commonplace enough I hadn't notice haha.  

 

 

I agree, i never saw the resemblance and i don't really find Freddie attractive either. I think they don't even have similar face structure lol. And Dorian is a lot more attractive to me.

 

 

That's so true    Many times i see people put pictures of some randoms with moustaches saying they look like Dorian and i'm like ->   .I usually don't see any resemblance lol.

 

One night I felt like having a Ramon Tikaram marathon.  Dug out all the vids I had he'd made an appearance in.  Eerily, at certain moments during certain facial expressions Dorian's face and character would pop out at me without my thinking of him at the time.  That's when it occurred to me that Ramon had served as the initial facial framework for Dorian.  Why not?  Dorian is supposed to be analogous as a similar ethnicity to Ramon.

I went after some side by side shots of both Ramon and Dorian and said Ahhh... I see what you did there Though Dorian's face was extensively altered in subsequent drawings to be his own person, Ramon's facial ratios are still there along with very small bits of certain facial features.  I can recall 3 things that survived all the way through... anyway.

 

But there's agreement that Rafa Rech does right? I mean, when I image search him (um, for a friend), "Dorian Pavus" is one of the return phrases.  Along with "glitter" lololol.

 

Old people here.  I had to look up who this is.  I'll give you 20% on this one.  There IS a resemblance from certain angles.  Dorian is still more angular.  More distinguished.  But he is just pixels and light.

I think Rafa Rech is the only one that looks a bit more like Dorian to me  But Dorian has something in his face and in the expression of his eyes that makes him so unique and perfect

Ugh, I took a look at the updated Keep and I have no Dorian tiles anywhere... Actually, I have very few tiles overall. I log in automatically, and didn't notice any connection breaks, so I really don't know what makes some things upload and some not.

 

But, to my great relief, like many others, I do have Boob Trevelyan, Jerkface Lavellan, InsertName Adaar, and all the other experimental Inquisitors that got deleted after 0.5 minutes...

Gosh, I hope so.  They left such a dangling story here that needs to be fulfilled.  A DLC; a book.  Something!

I keep having this recurring thought of DA4's new protagonist and Inquisitor being brought before the Archon, whether by diplomatic necessity or other.  They are surrounded by all the pomp and ostentatious everything of the Tevinter head of state.  The Archon's on the seat bedecked in heavy hooded robes.  (Like the Emperor LOL).   They get there and suddenly a leg pops over the arm of the throne, hood sweeps back and Dorian says "Well, well, well.  About time you lot got here!"

Then I flip a desk.  What?!  Where's the story?  You can't just, oh-there-he-is and not explain anything!

Well considering Rafa is a model who isn't even trying to look like Dorian in his photo shoots (that I may have lingered over a while )--I think that a kindly make-up artist to line his eyes properly and do some contouring, and the proper robes and attitude, and a Rafa Rech/Dorian cosplay could be *devastating*.  Perhaps living at Comic Con ground zero is making me a bit passionate on this lol . . . I'll see myself out lol.

Would have been nice to know about this at the time... hmm, now I'm curious if all the characters will get it though. Haven't checked that.

 

The staff is ugly though So there's that... I haven't even looked at the sword and dagger yet.

 

Does anyone know... are there more things like this? Other mini games with the rest of the characters? More secret hidden weapons? Etc? Sigh... If yes please drop a comment, I'd like to know before starting to look through all Bioware posts in all media in history, to find stuff like this

Dorian thread, I'm (slowly) working through my second playthrough and I have a question about his romance quest, the one with the amulet.

It triggered for me super randomly. Just while wandering around Skyhold I got a pop up. Is this a bug or intended? I've kissed Dorian and initiated the romance but haven't gotten his sex scene yet.

Sorry if the question is a little basic. Just trying not to spoil myself on his romance too badly.

I don't think it is a bug as it happens about the same time every play through for me and in roughly the same area of Skyhold.  Now if it is actually working as intended, that is another question.  One would normally expect messages from Liliana to be attached to a messenger and not just flitting about the castle precincts.  But as I am always standing under the crows loft when I get it, who knows.  Are the crows potty trained?  Poor Solas.

There aren't as far as I know. This was just a one-off promotional thing. At least it's not tied to any pre-orders or anything like that. I haven't bothered to do it. I think the models are kind of creepy, but I also have RP reservations about using red lyrium as a weapon. It's dangerous!

As for the Skyhold crows, I headcanon that they're not exactly potty-trained, but Solas just maintains a personal barrier whenever all the crows come home and start pooping everywhere

Well I did it, I managed to resist Dorian and remain true to my Cassandra romance.   She'd better come through for me now or I'll be seriously disappointed.    Still I loved the variation between female friend and male friend when it comes to Mother Giselle's rumours.    It is Dorian who says that it may surprise him to know that many people are saying there is something intimate going on between them and then I have to act all innocent (as if I didn't know that was what she was hinting at).   Then Dorian makes that lovely declaration of friendship.    I like to feel that my guy is filling the void left by the death of Felix.     I hope Dorian wasn't too disappointed that my gentle earlier flirts didn't lead anywhere.   At least he didn't accuse me of leading him on.

 

It's great, though, how you can have an different experience again with a male friend from a female friend or a romance.

A messenger spawns in the fresco room (with Solas).

She's supposed to yell at you (she has some canned barks that run when you get close to her), but possibly you jumped down after visiting Leliana and it didn't fire in time.

Another thing with the fresco room: if you use the stairs up, the conversation with any messenger that spawns by Leliana runs prematurely (she has messengers like Josephine and the other Skyhold personnel). You need to use the stairs from the main hall if you want to actually hear any of it (that way, it won't play until you actually get up to her level).

Ohhhhh, ok.  Yeah, I jumped into the rotunda, landed on Solas's desk, then ran off to go talk to Cass.  That's probably what happened.  I was so confused!

Ahh yes, now you mention it I have heard the messenger speak.  I'm usually too busy mulling over the fact that there is no actual cut scene of Dorian and I talking about Cass behind her back or wandering the ramparts having a brandy.  Just poof!  Message arrives as I'm heading down the stairs, crashing into my reverie.

I feel like Dorian would approve of fabulous musketeer hat.  If there's ever item packs for DA:I like there were for DA2, Dorian's special item needs to be an amazing hat.
