I know right? Some mod must have had a bad day and felt threatened on a personal level by those glorious ass cheeks (bracing myself for a second warning)

I'm gonna have to go with that as well. I just got two strikes on my account. lol!  One for my profile...which idk, has nothing on it but my Dorian pic with my IQ and 2nd for a post I made to a person on the forums who seemed to have made it his duty to be a (you know what) to anyone who criticizes the game.  Funny thing is. I censored myself and put a smiley face in place of the bad thing I wanted to call him.  But I guess it was still too much.  I guess I'll just be safely hanging out in this thread and the modding group for a while. lol!!

I'm sure you aren't the first person to get into trouble because of a hot ass...just saying.

Well that's good to hear at least. And yeah it's weird, didn't expect that to happen at all.

I think it's silly honestly (it's just a pixel butt!), but I suppose I'll be more careful... Making posts is going to feel kind of awkward from now on, knowing I'm being watched.  :?

I wonder what would have happened if the time magic backfired and caused a Flashpoint Paradox-like event?

Dorian: Well, clearly you'd have to deal with evil Dorian. The poor, misguided young man who actually accepted Alexius' offer.

Inquisitor: Ah yes, evil Dorian. The man who'd rather send the Venatori to raid the wine cellars and libraries of the Orlesian countryside than actually go into battle.

Dorian: And think of the wonderful romantic tension. I find "bathe him and bring him to my chambers!" a bit cliché, but it is a classic.

Inquisitor: I'd assume that he'd be clean-shaven? Considering that good Dorian isn't.

Dorian: I certainly hope not. The facial hair is a key part of my iconic look...and I look like I'm about fifteen without it.

Sooooo I just realized Dorian doesn't have any clothes on in his card.

Not that I have a problem with that

I need to go to sleep...

I never noticed that before! :D

Wow! They actually don't want us posting Dorian's ass all over a thread where everyone has seen it already??

With all the crap spewed on this forum they choose a random pic of Dorian's booty to remove?

I'm sure someone reported it and that's the only reason it happened :/

Soo, I am in emerald graves and in the villa where you have to collect the pieces of the key to open the one area. Well I wasn't quite paying attention and forgot a mage needs to do it, so when I tried Dorian pipes up with:

"Perhaps that needs... a magical touch."

And omg the phrasing and intonation was sooo perfect. My brain totally went off thinking about how all Dorian touches are magical and... yea >< Anywho wanted to share, I'd never heard him say that before :)

I love that you take the height of the ceiling into account lol.  Yeah, Skyhold strikes me as chilly - brr.  But with a warm Dorian in your bed, I guess it can be toasty.

I've decided that Dorian and his inky love took a bath together.  And that it's not sweat its literally water dripping off of him.

He looks good in gold doesn't he?   My male mage Lavellan has got the whole squad kitted out in gold/white/black.   Mages are cloth of gold, white leather and black metal, except Solas - I didn't bother with him since he's leaving and doesn't consider himself part of the team.  Dorian and Vivenne look awesome and my mage Lavellan has crafted Keeper robes and then tinted them a combination of gold over shirt and white undershirt.   Rogues and warriors have gold tinted metal, black leather and white cloth.

Question about Dorian's romance tarot card.   Any idea what the symbolism is there?    There is a black serpent wrapped around him and held in the left hand and what is either a white flower or possibly a stylised dragon head in his right hand.    Dorian's greatest fear is temptation, so is this meant to suggest that the romance partner (white symbol) is helping keep him from temptation (black symbol)?    Or does the black serpent hark back to what his father tried to do to him, seeing as he has his house Parvus birth right amulet around his neck?

Dorian looks good in most everything.  Even the plaid weave doesn't looks terrible on him.  Though if we are going for yellow on him I'm more of a King Willow Weave girl.  I wish we had a true red to put him in.  Like Scarlet or Crimson.  He'd rock the crap out of it.  I also like to put him in crisp white and hope that he doesn't get it covered in blood from battle.

Also, in regard to his romance card, isn't the snake one of the symbols of Teventer also?  In all those Teventer ruins in the Western Approach you see snake art on the walls.  So I'm guessing the imagery is two fold - temptation as well as Teventer.  That is my $0.02.

Lastly,  Hi everyone.  I know you don't usually see me on the weekend.  I had to prepare a presentation for work (I have a group job interview for the position I'm temping in.. No, that isn't awkward at all).  So I had to actually turn on my computer and stop playing Dragon Age for a minute. LOL!

I have to admit.... I always clicked the veilfire things with my rogue first, just to hear Dorian say that phrase, lol xD

I'm obsessed, I know

Yesterday I had both Solas and Dorian in my party and clicked on the veilfire only to have Solas volunteer.  So disappointed. I click on them because my last three games were as KE mages so I'm used to just doing it myself.  But I can't this game.

Also, with my current warrior, I specialized as a templar, and Dorian said to my qunquisitor that she smelled different - like lightning (not that he goes around smelling her.. but I know the truth... he totes goes around smelling her because she is awesome.  Or he is down wind.  You decide).  So I guess being a templar makes you smell like ozone?  Interesting.

Haha, my first two PTs were KEs too :)

Yea, my current Elf is a Templar and and that line from Dorian was awesome, especially he followed it up by saying it was quite attractive. I didn't even mind no one else commented on me being a Templar.. well aside from Cullen.

Wow, this is one dangerous thread to read in an airport bar. I just clicked on those two spoiler photos a couple of pages back that showed Dorian all naked and glistening, and I'm pretty sure the woman behind my right shoulder is judging me now.  Also, I should stop.  Because other concerns.

Not that distracting myself with fanfic will help much.  When DOES that plane get here?

Also, hello.  I'll probably be here and the Fenris thread quite a bit.

Uh oh...I just created a male 2H warrior whom I was thinking of spec'ing as a Templar, intending to romance Cass with him. Now that I know that line is out there, Dorian is going to be that much harder to resist.

If it's a consolation I think he says it even if you don't romance him... idk how someone would turn him down after that ;) Honestly I have intended to romance Cass twice now (I do really love her as well) but I can't keep away from Dorian.

With my rogue, Dorian was always the only mage in my team so he was the only one that could do it. But now that I'm playing a mage, I miss asking Dorian for help with the veilfire and other mage things. :(  I still prefer to do all that with Dorian,  so I will headcanon he is teaching my mage how to do it.

And I didn't play Templar yet (I plan to do it just for his comment), but I liked what Dorian said to my Elf Assassin:  "If you ever intend to make it an actual profession, do tell me. The Antivan Crows have nothing on the Imperium. I know people. Keep it in mind."

I liked that because I imagined the idea of working as an assassin for Dorian in Tevinter, killing evil magisters and protecting Dorian, it would be interesting.  :)

So Necromancer is the only spec I never tried out on an Inquisitor because I always take Dorian with me after he's recruited and I didn't want to be redundant. Well, that attitude carried over to multiplayer and the Necromancer was the last character I unlocked there. I finally tried her out, and holy crap, favorite class ever. I'm having way more fun with her than I ever have before.

So now I know what I want to do with my next single player run. I'm just torn between having two Necromancers in a party, redundancy be damned, or making my Inquisitor a tank and then fighting as Dorian exclusively.

Can I just admit I really do love Dorian?

But he'll never love me back, sob!

I have to live vicariously through my Lavellans, sigh.

Good enough.

You should have maintained eye contact and leaned forward to lick the screen. When confronted with judgement overwhelm judgement receptors.

If you take the Simulacrum ability and have a staff with 10% heal on kill you can die, trigger the ability, kill an enemy, and come back with 10% health. You also don't consume mana while Simulacrum is active.

I've yet to go necromancer because those Nevarran skulls are a pain in the ass to find.  Usually two will drop right at the beginning of the game in Fereldan for me, but then that third one takes its sweet sweet time spawning as a loot drop for me.  Usually not until well after I've picked a specialization.  Nevarran skulls are jerks. I randomly had one drop in the Western Approach last night.. but my char is a Templar!  Oh well.

You know, I really hate the effect descriptions sometimes... I always thought '10% heal on kill' meant you heal for 10% on killing an enemy.

Also, non-Dorian related, but does anyone know of a 'The Last Court for Dummies' kinda post or something? I decided I want the glass, but have zero idea what I'm trying to achieve in that game, and even less patience... I fear I'll fail miserably.

I also got annoyed when three names I suggested got an 'already in use' message, and so now I'm playing with an Orlesian noble by the name of Boob Mahone, which I don't think bodes well for me.

Ditto on all of that... I saw the Last Court stuff once on the Keep but I couldn't do it then and I can't remember how I got to it :(

OMG, until I just read these last couple of posts, I thought the same thing you did.  And I never used it!!! Sigh.

It really should be "10% heal upon death", or something more clear.

Also, I did The Last Court stuff once, and never went back. I didn't have much time, at the time (redundant, lol), but just kinda forgot about it. Is the customization worth it?

I need to finish my m!Adaar and Dorian playthrough, but I got sucked into the Borderlands Handsome Collection! So much pew pew, but no Dorian. :(

Admittedly I don't even know, but everyone is always waxing poetic about the Serrault Glass and how they never use anything else, so I assume it must be grossly incandescent...  :P

It's 10% on killing an enemy I think. Most of the effects are pretty vague, such as the gain guard on hit.
