I am incredibly unlucky in these sort of situations, so no... No, no! Besides I'm already the short straw, not much blood to drain here.

I don't know if this was said before in this thread or not so I apologize if it was. Has anyone thought that he might be Rhys. There was some concept art that should a man that reminds me of him...especially with the pointed beard since that was noted in Asunder and maybe they just removed it for the game. I know they said a person from Asunder would be in DA:I and everyone (myself included) seem to think that the blonde rogue is Cole, but why can't there also be another one.

Why you people keep showing up here to derail my frail heart into despair? Why?! See? You made me interrobang...
Dhmg got a moustache though? Not a beard.

It has been brought up numerous times, though it seems majority of fans believe DHMG and Rhys are different characters.

I don't think it's Rhys because;
A.) The description isn't that similar. DHMG doesn't really look nearly 40 to me. He doesn't have grey streaks in his hair. He doesn't have a beard.
B.) I don't think we'd get two mages from the Orlais circle. We already have Vivienne.
C.) It would make it more difficult for us to get close to Cole if he were still primarily bonded to Rhys. I think Rhys will likely die at the peace summit with the other mage/Chantry leaders.
D.) Dorian was one of the survey profiles and everything else from the survey has come true, including the DHMG concept art.

He's at the 'last supper' and not one of our advisors, so he has to be in the party. The name 'Dorian' is being thrown out there as a companion concept, where as Rhys has not. It's a pretty good bet that DHMG is Dorian, by process of elimination.

Don't forget E.
E.) DHMG is way too attractive to be an unromanceable character like Rhys.

I'm guessing this, it'd give Cole a reason to join the inquisition too. Although it leaves me wondering about Evangeline's fate. I'd hate to think of _______'s sacrifice counting for nothing if Evangeline is just going to die off screen.

plus rhys was a circle mage, it would not make sense for a circle mage to have tevinter oriented robes when he is still in orlais

It's possible they want to be Nihilistic about the situation. Rhys told her once that he thought her idealism of being kept alive for a purpose was just her own projections. It's also possible that Rhys will be in the blast and Evangeline wont. She's technically neither a mage or chantry leader.

I'm really hoping the people I like are not caught up in the blast. I'd hate the game to start with me being mad at Bioware.

It could be both.Just pray it's Adrian, not Rhys that goes up in flames.
Honestly I woudn't even thought about Rhys being involved in the Breach event if it wasn't for Cole's presence. I don't think that every mage leaders will be present at that event (as i don't think every Chantry's GC would be). But the fact that Cole might join the Inquisition to find those responsible for Rhys' death seems very possible to me. Granted, it could be something completely different.

UGH, Petrice.
Saying that, I actually did side with her on my last playthrough. I didn't release she could survive....

If Fiona, Rhys, and Evangeline survive, I'll be happy. I'd like Justinia to survive too, but I can see why she may need to die.

In all honesty, I think Fiona and Justinia are definitely out. I could see Adrian and Rhys being left alive so that the mage camp could be somewhat divided.

I think it makes sense that the fraternity leaders would be at the summit, which would include Rhys and Adrian. It's possible Fiona could also be there. The said in interview that basically the entire leadership of the Chantry and mage revolution would be wiped out, so I doubt many of them will make it out.
I'll be honest, though, neither Adrian or Rhys appealed to me much. Rhys had the same kind of thing going on as Sebastian, where he just couldn't make a decision. If he was like half the age he was, maybe I could understand. I just get easily frustrated with fence sitters.

the fact of the matter is if dhmg was rhys he would probably be at the summit and therefore dead, which he is clearly not so rhys is out... (as dhmg, he might be somewhere else though)

Doesn't fit Fiona's style imo. She's been shown to not be one for talking or compromise, so it'd make more sense for her to send representatives.
