Anyone else get the banter with Dorian where he talks about hoping to get kidnapped by 'burly qunari pirates'?  My Inquisitor is an Adaar and Dorian's also flirted with Bull a bit, so it's pretty clear that Dorian love a big hulking hunk of horned muscle, huh?  Good for him!

The cutscene I got before the credits rolled shown my Inquisitor with Dorian standing alongside them, Cass and Leliana at the war table talking about Solas. I disbanded the Inquisition so I guess this is them operating in secret with their most trusted allies.

It seemed Dorian was helping with that though, so it's not like he just left them with a "good luck dealing with Solas".

So just finished Trespasser. And oh my, I never broke up Dorian and Inq! So happy. Although a little dissatisfied they don´t live together. I guess the Inq does not have many years left anyway...? (Considering what Solas said about running out of time)

However, the next DA will be in Tevinter? So Dorian will probably play a huge role in that game? He was beside the Inq at the war table at the end, so I was wondering if he still would be beside Inq if the was not romanced? (thus probably telling us he will play a major part in the nexr DA

No, I did not dispand the Inquisition. Although I starting to regret it. At least I should pick the aggressive option, since the politicians are pricks.

 

So, whoever is romanced will be in that particular scene?

 

And I do believe Dorian will play a huge part in DA4... But David Gaider is not working on DA4 anymore?

I found it mildly disappointing, only because there's an earlier point in the romance where Dorian suggests he's only a shameful secret fling (to which you protest otherwise), but in the end, that's basically what the relationship comes down to (just in the opposite direction).

It was clearly inevitable that they would be separated since Dorian is going to be in DA4 and the Inquisitor won't (so they can't have anything like marriage or having the Inquisitor go to Tevinter too), but I admit I wish it had been done differently (I think there were better ways to express them being in a relationship but not physically with each other for extended periods of time). (And I'm really not happy that the Iron Bull relationship seems more heartfelt than anything we're able to say.)

But I'm reserving final judgment until I've had more time to digest it.

Ok, thanks. Never could initiate that banter between them that starts their romance. Maybe new patch fixed the frequency problem.

I totally loved that scene so much. Cassandra is really the only companion (in addition to Josephine and Cullen) that my Inquisitor would consider a friend instead of a colleague, so her getting so excited and supportive was really perfect to me.

Yeah, I totally agree. I would have loved nothing more than an option for them sticking together all the time after the DLC ends. It's nice what we got, but still.

I'm sure they didn't include this option because the game is in my opinion quite obviously heading towards Tevinter, with Dorian as a major NPC. This way they'll just have to give Dorian one or two simple lines where he'll say something like 'The Inquisitor? Ah well, he's in xy right now, doing xy! I'd love for him to be here but ah, we will meet again soon!' But I have to say I am really happy that it's still a forever-together ending so, just keep thinking about this! 

Ugh, idk, I'm still kinda depressed about many aspects of the DLC so... yeah.. I don't know what to think...

Be warned, there's feels. The upside is, if Iron Bull goes Tal Vashoth he's the sweetest boyfriend to our precious hot house orchid. ♥ Trespasser stomps out literally any inkling of an idea that Iron Bull treats Dorian with anything but the utmost affection, and the feels and awesomeness to their romance's conclusion is just...*happy fanboy sigh*.

 

Dorian's voice acting and their banters was just...so amazing. xD My favorite was finding out Dorian is allergic to stripweed? And Iron Bull fussing over him like a mother hen, making sure he has his hankie. Dorian vehemently refusing that he has allergies and then he starts sneezing? Just ... oh my god, strike me down where I stand this mustached man is just too adorable.

Major props to whoever animated the scene where the Inquisitor finds about Dorian is returning to Tevinter for good. The feels! It made me appreciate the capabilities of the Frostbite engine so much more. The voice acting from Dorian and Harry Hadden-Paton was, as expected, top notch too

If Bull's romance with him is anything to go off of, Dorian is worried about what might happen if he joins him. Bull kind of pushes Dorian to be a little more open with his feelings.

He's a little more guarded with the Inquisitor, but considering that:

A) Varric just blurted out the news of his promotion.

This is the first time they've really seen each other in a month. (It's inferred that In a relationship with Bull they've been discussing this for a little while) it's kind of understandable.

I'm under the impression that his father's assassination is partially why Dorian is reluctant to bring his boyfriend into that kind of danger.

The problem I have is that the player romance doesn't seem to have much romance anymore. Dorian says he loves you, but his dialogue is virtually the same for everyone (even the crystal is something that he gives to every Inquisitor), and most of the romantic touches seem confined to Bull. It just seems more genuine and heartfelt than the matter-of-fact stuff that we get (though I very much want to hear more opinions on this—where is everybody?).

For me, the Dorian romance finale felt more like a relationship that was over, but the people in it didn't quite want to accept it yet. Whereas everything they show with Bull gives the sense of two people in love determined to make it work (as much as possible, at least).

I'm hoping when I do my full playthrough (where I'll sit down and really take my time with all the content) I'll come away with a more favorable opinion of things. As of now, it's just kind of disappointing.

Usually I'm pretty cool with companion pairing but I think they added some extra touch to Iron Bull/Dorian because it started a bit...icky and rude at best.

For me the Iron Bull is probably the worst written character as far as DA goes...so whatever .

He's there in some limbo where I just hunt dragons with him laugh and then forget he even exists.

 

I wished we got a bit more with Dorian for sure but you do have a couple of banter where you talk about the future , sort of.

Dorian is also loosing his cool when the Inqui is dying , well as much as everyone is loosing his cool (it's so sudden in game )

He doesn't even tried to reason with a pro Qunari Bull.No melodrama , he's just bitter after his death.

 

Anyway for me it ends the same , Inqui goes Red Jenny and go in Tevinter to see Dorian from time to time.

Bull stays with the Chargers and see Dorian from time to time.

In both cases scenario , Dorian doesn't want his lover around all the time.He also complain about Bull being a big softie.

 

The way I see it Dorian is  an idealist man on a mission.His first and true love is Tevinter , and his country is in great danger now with the Qunari , and the inner corruption.

The Inquisitor was the hero during Inquisition and Dorian had a supportive role.But again directly related to Tevinter , he stayed because the Venatori and Corypheus wanted to bring the worst out of his country. 

If you romance him , you see him at the end at the war table so he's still supporting the Inquisitor 's goal .

He also stayed two years with the Inquisitor after Cory fell .

I think in Trespasser it's just his way of saying "I love you but you're the eye of an hurricane and I want to be my own man , not your cheerleader".

He also says it in DAI , he wants to bring change to Tevinter because he cares deeply.He doesn't want the Inquisitor to follow and beat everyone into submission just because the boyfriend is Tevinter and the Inqui needs a hobby.

I was writing a big wall of text in my crappy english when I see what Reznore had wrote and I pretty much agree.

I don't see it as the end of their relation and I don't think they're in denial.
"You are the man I love, Amatus. Nothing can truly keep us apart" seems clear to me.
I like the fact that the writers have "twisted" the relationship.
We spend the whole game reassuring Dorian about our love for him and now the inquisitor is the one who need to be reassured.
