I just remembered this and wanted to mention it, I was really annoyed that at the end of my Dorian Trespasser PT in the very last scene with Cass, Leliana, and Harding Dorian was randomly wearing his old outfit from the main game instead of the new one he wore is the other Trespasser scenes :( I mean I like both, but idk the new outfit was really cool.

Do you mean in the post-credit scene?

While there is probably a game reason for that, I can give a story one as well. Don't forget that the leather number he wears is his base armor and that everything else is layered on top of that, including his Trespasser Tevinter Ambassador clothing. So every time I see him in his base armor I just assume it's because it's a more casual environment (which the final scene is), and he took off his other stuff.

Yea the post credit scene... annnnd that's a really good explanation :) Although slightly weird because the IQ, Leliana, and Cass were all wearing their formal Inquisition outfits... which always seems odd to me when I choose to disband the Inquisition.

The reason for the Inquisition formal wear is because of the arm... x_x. And having just the Inquisitor wearing theirs and Lel and Josie wearing their normal clothing would have been worse, I think. They had to make an unique model just for that and it is tied to the formal wear. This is probably also the main reason that any formal wear mods cause Trespasser to crash.

[edit]

Random mod comment: trying to create a gold fabric is annoying.

I disbanded, but I can't remember from my play. I also don't understand why they're in the Haven dungeon...

Yes, disbanding seems to put everyone back into their old clothes while not disbanding has everyone in the formal outfits.

Disbanded:

Not disbanded:

Spoiler

And while it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that they're back in Haven, I like the symmetry it creates with the beginning of the game. :)

Edit:

Okay, so I got curious and replayed the ending on my Dorian romance save and didn't disband this time, and Dorian is back in his base game outfit even though everyone else is wearing the red formal outfits:

Spoiler

Maybe he just really hates that outfit. I don't blame him.

Dorian is no longer an official part of the Inquisition even if you don't disband it.    He'd made it quite clear he was returning to Tevinter once the Exalted Council was over.    The only reason he stayed around this long would be out of concern for his lover and no doubt to get briefed about future plans before he returns to Tevinter.   So he may be working for the reduced organisation as an agent in Tevinter but is no longer part of the official team, so no uniform.    That's the way I see it anyway.   It is strange they didn't have him in his ambassador gear though but I suppose that was only for show when in the Winter  Palace.

Returning to the dungeon at Haven might not be such a bad move if they want to throw Solas off their trail.    It is also a lot less remote than Skyhold.

Yea I went back and double checked and I had misremembered. My Female Lavellen disbanded and everyone was in their old clothes except her, which is fine and makes sense but I love the Keeper armor she has and wish she could have been wearing that but I digress... My Trev Dorianmance character chose the first 'we serve the divine" option and everyone was wearing the Formal attire which makes sense there.

Yea I wish he was wearing the Ambassador outfit because... seriously he looks awesome in that, but oh well.

I don't think going back to Haven would throw Solas off at all, especially if you had been friends with him. During the fade dream with him he comments that Haven will always be important to you so... really it would be weird if using Haven is surprising. Also, I'd have to go digging but I could have sworn either Patrick Weekes or Mike Laidlaw commented on twitter that it isn't actually meant to literally be Haven. It's just a secret meeting place in an undisclosed location, and the assets were just reused.

Also bonus for anyone who was silly and didn't watch all the credits. Cassandra reads from Varric's book about the Inquisition :)

And lastly... I noticed in my last PT there's some random person in various spots in the Winter Palace, but every time I get close to them they disappear in a puff of smoke and purple lightening. It's sort of weird. I did manage to "sneak" up behind them and got really close one time (of course it didn't occur to me to save that video) and it's someone in pretty typical Orlais clothing but completely covered. I thought at first it might be Morrigan (the disappearing effect is similar to when she transforms at the Well of Sorrows) but the body model didn't really look female... of course it's hard to tell. Anyone else notice this and if you did, any thoughts on who it might be?

@Arlee, it's a side quest at the Winter Palace. You have to sneak up on the disappearing Harlequins or something and if you do that to all of them you get a reward I think.

It does make more sense for them to be in an undisclosed location. I wish they hadn't reused the Haven war room though.

They are Harlequins.  And you can sneak behind and tag them in order to receive a schematic:

And, yes, Dorian's ambassador outfit is really nice!

I thought the disappearing harlequins were elves and that this was an example of them acting weird. A little ostentatious but Trespasser Solas does have a certain flair.

Sooooo many pages to read since Trespasser came out! I finished it yesterday with one of my Dorianmancers so now I'm finally all caught up with the thread.

As an aside... I thought the British VA did well with all the screaming in agony in those scenes...

Funny....after first playing with two female quizzies (one each VA) I thought he sounded kinda constipated.

I did say that I felt they could simply have given the job of saving  Dorian from the Venatori to the Inquisitor if in a romance with Dorian instead of Iron Bull.   So all the Adoribull fans would have got the content that they have but those invested in our own Dorian romance would have had parity in the heroics stakes.  All it required was a different back screen and a few changed words; after all the Inquisitor could have been supported by mercenaries, even Bull's mercenaries.    It would simply give credit for the rescue to the Inquisitor.   I don't think any Dorian romancers would object to that.

Marcus disbanded the Inquisition and joined the Red Jennies. I figure, with him working in the shadows, any threats to Dorian aren't going to get close enough to touch him. :D

So, who wants to play kick the dwarf?

I'm hearing about all this dialogue that I've never heard in my game. :( I never heard the honeymoon one and I believe some others mentioned that I've never heard. The only one I remember is Dorian remarking about my IQ dying, which was very touching.  It seems like I got the buggy dialogue but the others were a miss. lol! Whelp, I at least have a reason to replay this game.  I might go with an all mage brigade run.

The honeymoon convo is triggered by clicking one of the "Listen to Dorian" buttons in the Deep Roads. As annoyed as I was to be interrupted by attacking qunari, it was very appropriate considering the nature of the banter. :P I have screenies of the lines but they aren't uploaded yet so here they are:

Dorian: "Cold stone, dark tunnels, and surrounded by extremely hostile qunari. Not the place I'd have chosen for a romantic homecoming, Amatus."

Inqui gets a choice of how to respond. I picked: "Wandering into peril is practically how we met."

Dorian: "Oh, yes. Practically a second honeymoon. Halamshiral's guest suites are legendary. I've always wanted to try a wyvern-down bed. Can Josephine arrange something?"

I have no idea what the heck wyvern down is or could even be since they have scales and not feathers, but there it you have it. :)

OH I've been wondering what he looks like with that armor on (I have yet to get it in the game). The whole "let's have a single bare arm" thing never gets old, really (no wonder he's cold all the time).

That's why you give him The Skin That Stalks, it's leather armor that is perpetually warm and quite possibly alive. That should help with the chill.

Oh, I couldn't stand the sight of that armor on any male character. It makes them all look way too skinny. Might look ok on male elf though since he's already skinny. It did look good on my female elf and human, but I think it would look just as bad on fem dwarf and qunari. They just don't have the right body types for it.

I really like his wrap armor model though. It's quite possibly my favorite armor in the entire game, and on my favorite NPC; a two-fer.

Actually, I think if you give him the sturdy armor model, and the battlemage gloves, that he should be quite toasty. For the normal, non-sturdy wrap, if he just let down the material on the left shoulder he would have more warmth, but that would also hinder movement, so... (Omg... I'm discussing how to keep a fictional character comfortable via armor. I have no life.)

I think I may have actually gotten that banter but didn't hear the rest because...fighting Qunari. lol!!

Oh, did anyone else get a weird loud sound fx thing in the tunnels when they were collapsing? It really annoyed me that the sound fx was going on and on and on throughout that entire section, even in places that wanted me to click to hear companion banter.  I ended up missing so much banter because of that.  :(

As for the Wyvern down bed....sometimes I think the DA team just make up things from the DA verse that sound "fantasy" like but don't actually think about what they are talking about.  A Wyvern Down bed sounds painful. lol!!

^ Yea the attack Qunari really interfered with a lot of banter down there. Though I think it helps some I always turn down the music a bit and turn SFX even lower than that, and then have dialogue on full so it's easier to hear all the things. Missing dialogue because of things happening in game is one of my biggest annoyances with games, so I always mess with sound settings first thing.

Well, the dialogue does seem to suggest that they'd be having sex on it, so... yeah it doesn't sound too comfortable.

BUT if we take real-world (dinosaur) raptors into consideration, there could very well be such a thing as "wyvern down." Of course, this would probably be the most expensive stuffing in existence, given that wyverns themselves are rare, and that finding hatchlings to harvest it from would be extremely dangerous.
