You know when it happens. You're sitting in the lobby, or you've been in the game for a few minutes, and suddenly you know that this game is going to suck. ![]()
Mine: When I'm outscoring everyone. I know, sooner or later, we're all going to horribly die.
Another: "Oh look, an Atlas! Okay, we just have to be a little bit careful-" *vanguard charges*
And a third: I have my good days and my bad days with sniping. Yesterday...was a bad day. 5 minutes into the game and with zero confirmed hits to my name, I knew things were only going to get worse. Fortunately we had one of those people with 20k challenge points so we didn't end up losing after all ![]()
What are yours?
That moment you know everything is going to go horribly wrong.

Yeah, when you've equipped that sweet ammo lvl 4 and cyclonic lvl 4, got all the mods you need on the perfect build and suddenly you start warping around and your shots register with a 2 seconds delay if they register at all. You use a rocket and it just disappears without exploding... That's when you know it will be a bad game.

Wait, I've got >20k challenge points and I suck. You got lucky...
I tend to be slow to catch on that it's all gone wrong. I'll only notice if it's an objective wave, everyone else needs revived and everywhere I turn there appears to be at least a couple of boss units between me and the objective or my team-mates. Occasionally at that point I'll remember that I have a rocket launcher and there's no (well not much) shame in using it, but more often I'll try and prove I have skills that I don't have and end up taking longer and burning through several ops packs and medi gel.

When I decide to check the hosts profile whilst the game is loading, and see the word "Australia".
I loled. Earlier today I had a game where I was literally teleporting from one side of the map to the other. Amazingly enough, we still managed to win somehow ![]()

N7 Loki, I can relate. Usually when I am praying we don't get Condor/Geth, well, guess what the RNG throws at us. With friends, it can be pretty doable - but with PUGs without mics, it can become a deathtrap.
When it comes to sniping, I can relate just as much. But I am actually a dreadful sniper, to be honest. I have a bad right wrist, so I can't reliably "track" the enemy. That's why I usually take the Black Widow, instead of the Javelin. Some days, I do land a lot of shots on target. But other days, when I feel I'm rusty and out of sync, it can be a long game. ![]()

Lol.
Every now and then I like to try and brave U/U/G...and hope that we don't get Collectors on Hazard Glacier....and we get Collectors on Hazard Glacier...and I'm just thinking...
This gif reflects my tendencies exactly.

My worst experience with this was using the Krysae. I'd fire and then get out of scope and actually fully lower my weapon before seeing the bullet appear and fire across the map at where my target was three seconds earlier. I find it helps to yell at the host for using dial up.

Geth Condor is a big NOPE also. Or just Condor in general. Wanna play a grenade character? Lol you get Condor where the ammo boxes never work DX

hate the "off host pug ninja switch to platinum" trick, at least your pug ASKED for plat DF!

As a PS3 player, I especially know that feeling. For different reasons, but still.
I always pray U/U/G doesn't turn into Hazard Ghost/Collectors because then I need to throw Holy Water on my PS3 to try and counter-act the freeze I fear is coming...

On the opposite end of the spectrum, whenever I equip an infinite ammo weapon (usually PPR) and Condor pops up as the map, I always do a victory fistpump. ![]()

True, I too hate the ninja switch. Find it happening a bit on Xbox. I join a bronze and they go to silver, join a silver and they sometimes go to gold. Not sure if they trying to get me to leave or if they think that with 4 we can suddenly do the next difficulty lol

I've never actually tried Insanity in single player ha. How hard is it? Can someone compare it to a difficulty?
