The pictures from way back when depict her at Court in Orlais. I believe she may even be holding a mask.
here is one.
Sandal is serving the empress too.... so he might turn up in the book.

Another one of Cailan's problems was he was enamored with the Grey Warden legend and his mind was filled with thoughts of glorious moments, standing side-by-side with Duncan and the others, and never once stopped to think of the risks or the possibility of failing.
But he WAS aware enough of the danger to send Alistair to what was supposed to be the safest part of the battle, and give the key to his chest to a trusted soldier.
Well, I didn't mean that he was a complete moron....though as you said laterWhich ultimately makes his decision to be on the front lines even more stupid. Since he is, after all, the King.
He's not brilliant eitherWhich ultimately makes his decision to be on the front lines even more stupid. Since he is, after all, the King.
Wait, what? Where was it stated that Sandal serves ten Empress?Sandal is serving the empress too.... so he might turn up in the book.

Well, that is just Elric talking. Plenty of room for errors of interpretation, wishful thinking, projection, and so on.
It's also well and good to claim that Cailan didn't consider the risks of fighting at Ostagar, but there were serious risks and negative effects associated with not fighting at Ostagar, as well. Cailan's decision to fight was not particularly foolish when you consider the alternatives. I can elaborate on this if you like.
The problem wasn't that he decided to fight at Ostagar, but that he fought in the frontline (and I think this is dragonflight's point). Which wasn't necessary at all.Well, that is just Elric talking. Plenty of room for errors of interpretation, wishful thinking, projection, and so on.

It's fairly late in the book, from what I could tell.

More juicy bits. Asunder was nice, but The Masked Promise could end up being better.
Oh, and there are so many duels! Let's hope we'll be able to take part in one ("I demand satisfaction!").
Wait, what? Where was it stated that Sandal serves ten Empress?
I think there was a scene in DA2 where Bodhan says that they're thinking of leaving Kirkwall and that the Empress has shown interest in Sandal's enchantments. Ok, logically speaking, those two could be everywhere else, but since games work according to the theory of Narrative Causality, it's very likely we'll see Sandal in Orlais.
Oh, I know about that. I though Ericander was referring to new info. I'm pretty sure Sandal will be present in DAI.More juicy bits. Asunder was nice, but The Masked Promise could end up being better.

I never caught that since I never looked up the previews on Amazon, but I do remember it's strongly hinted at in DA2. In Act 3, Bodahn tells Hawke he's getting old and wants to make arrangements for Sandal's wellbeing after he's gone, and is taking him to Orlais, where he would serve as an enchanter for Celene or something like that.
The problem wasn't that he decided to fight at Ostagar, but that he fought in the frontline (and I think this is dragonflight's point). Which wasn't necessary at all.
Yeah, that was my point.
No wonder Thedas is in chaos! Everyone in these novels seem eager to give their enemies weapons with which to fight them!

And all the political powers that be, from the Circle and templars, to Orlais, Nevarra, or even some elements in the Chantry or some Dalish clans, are getting too big for their britches, forcing multiple conflicts across groups, which in turn spread to other groups.

Personally, I'm hoping for more information on eluvians as a whole. And since we know that
Anyway, I've got class and then I've got to go to work, so I have to bow out of the debates, probably for the rest of the day, so I'll catch you guys later.
