DA2 has 2 elves: Merill and Fenris. 1 Dwarf: Varric. The rest is humans: Carver, Bethany, Aveline, Isabela, Anders, Sebastian, Hawke. Asides from determinant gender characters like Hawke and the sibling. We have 3 females, and 4 males. I don't think diversity is a good way to determine the nature of our companions.

There is this female elf that looks interesting and shows up a few times in different concepts but she's a rogue, with Sera already being both an elf and rogue, i dont think she'll be in the game. One explanation could be that this is Sera before some redesign
I would approve of an elven Jack.
I personally prefer this design over the one we see, it stands out much better than just blonde long hair
That pink elf girl is sexy. She first appeared in DA2 concept art. I wonder if she is an older concept of Sera.
As for the 6:3 ratio, I'm becoming increasingly convinced the DLC character will be a woman, and since I rarely play as a male character, for me it'll seem more 6:5/6:4. Throw in a bunch of major female characters like Celene and Morrigan, and I really won't notice to be honest.
Yeah, this is a good point. You could end up with the same kind of ratio with a male mage Hawke. There would be 6 guys (Hawke, Carver, Varric, Anders, Fenris, and Sebastian) and only 3 ladies (Aveline, Merrill, and Isabela).
But if you played as a female warrior/rogue Hawke, it would be 4 guys (Varric, Anders, Fenris, and Sebastian) and 5 ladies (Hawke, Bethany, Aveline, Merrill, and Isabela). Hawke's gender and class really affected the ratio in DA 2.
That makes me wonder if we will have a Carver/Bethany style character that is affected by your gender and/or class. Or even a Kaidan/Ashley style character where a plot point you encounter causes you have to pick one or the other. Since we are missing confirmation on a third of companions, there's plenty of room for this type of character to be in the game.
I think the fan art should be removed from the OP because it gives the impression that it has anything to do with the game whatsoever. You might as well have posted a fan art of Alistair and the Warden kissing before the setting sun or something.

You're right i should supply a link thank you, but this isnt based on a fans imagination, it's based off of biowares concept pieces, so far it has shown to be accurate so i see no problem in using it for speculation

No it isnt, i never said it was OFFICIAL in any way. All it is, is a collection of characters found in biowares official concept arts, so i dont see the problem either way. If you were misled its kind of your own fault.

Im not seeing the problem, fan art implies that it was a product of a fans imagination, concept art implies that it is accurate to the actual product which this piece does since all it is, is the characters from official art pieces put into one piece of artwork. No one else is having an issue with this and i dont get why you brought up that originally didnt credit the artist since i admitted to forgetting and immediately fixed that. Show me where that confirmation has occurred and I'll personally apologize to you (even though my complaint is completely on-topic, so far as it relates to analyzing the picture in your OP). In fact, I'll even apologize LATER if all nine of these characters end up being our companions.

There's no in-game evidence that Cullen, Iron Bull (who is always alone in concept art), or Spear Dude are companions.
