I have a lot of games I really want to play right now. Whenever I load up Mass Effect I'd rather just play with friends than waste time finding a PUG.

i pug constantly. i don't really play with many friends since the few i used to play with don't really play anymore. i still play with my brother occasionally but other than that i'm a pugger. also if i do see friends playing i almost never send an invite (lazy i guess) but if they send me an invite i'll usually accept if i'm not in the middle of a match.

PUG's can be fun...and yes FireRider that is how I got my friends list and yes atleast 5 of the top 10 pug, cuase thats how I met them. Sad part is, now it is hard to keep up with invites.

PUGs bore me. I play with friend(s) when they invite me to play ME3.

My life goal is to show people the awesomeness of the Volus Sentinel. I can't do it if I don't PUG.

I PUG more than I play with friends.
Yep. This.
... I will try to invite TMNQ, Moby, Ari and my friend Arnie (She's the only non-BSNer on my FL) whenever I can, but if they're busy I'll just pug. I have over 30 people on my FL and I only play with 3 or 4 of them. :/

Thanks for the replies so far. I think it's kind of ironic that everyone complains about PUG games and yet without them people wouldn't be playing this game as much and not met as many friends as they did. That next PUG player could be your next BFF.
I'm almost inspired to go out and show off my magnificent peacock feathers to those gold PUGs.
I try not to be a douchebag and complain about pugs, because I know once I was that pug. I go into every pug lobby with that attitude and by wave 5 I start complaining about pugs. Then I become too concerned with killing off stuff quickly and stop reviving them. >.<
Then after 2 games I quit ME3 and start playing games my friends are playing.

The pug mainland feels more like home to me, because that's where I can trace my ME3 roots. I was once a terribad pug, and even though I sometimes play with friends...it's the pugs I care more about. Because someone has to show those scrubs the light....that the Juggy can be a formidable fighting machine if they actually *shoot* their gun, or that the AIU can dominate *without* a reegar. Friends are great and all...but it's the pugs I call family ![]()

Alot of people are stuck on Mass Effect island where no other game exists
That's because the relays are all destroyed and now we're stuck here.

I pug most of the time. Games with the OP are always hugely enjoyable, but also very very easy. There's something even more fun and alluring about sharing Asarigasms with total strangers, and it's always good to find someone new whose playstyle clicks with your own.
I will respond to invites if I'm not in a lobby, but once a game has started I'm loyal to my new squad.
Haha I've just seen that I have now entered the hallowed 'Top 100' turf of which you speak, which just confirms that Challenge Points mean very little other than highlighting a gaming obsession!

I pug mainly because my hosting sucks and I don't want to subject any friends to the lag. If I get an invite I usually accept. Even when I find a group that is good I only play 1 or 2 games with them. I feel like I wear out my welcome pretty quickly, or I want to find a different group to see how they play.

I PUG most of the time, my friends list on PC consists of about 3 people and I got rid of a lot of people of Xbox because I simply don't talk to them frequently enough. Then again I don't have much time as I used to but having at least one or two others to talk to while I played would be nice. *sigh* #foreveralone

Despite what some claim on here there are lots and lots of players out there, it's just that a lot of people end up getting stuck on friends island where they only mainly play with each other, occasionally letting in a random to play with.
I sort of ran into a semi-random match when someone I knew invited some friends of his which I didn't know. They stated that they never ran into anyone in the top 100 of the leaderboards (except for me of course). Which made me wonder if the top 100 only ever hang around with each other, which is kind of true if you look at whose in the AHF chatroom.
I do pug quite a bit and I'm always bumping into different players I don't remember seeing before.
So, do I have a valid theory? Are you stuck on friends island?
I feel that way too on Playstation.
Though I tend to PUG more than anything else because it is quicker getting into a match
though the matches probably take longer
I'm just really looking to play at this point so getting into a match quickly is my biggest priority
other people out there have different priorities

43 friends on PC. Only ever played with 1 semi-frequently (awesome host). 99% of the time I pug.
I go on PEASSTRII to hang out with friends. That's where i started after all.

I pug a fair bit and have bumped into quite a few of the top 100 players (including the newly promoted tiwyg). I don't really complain about pugs either because they're rarely as bad as they're made out to be here. Even if they are awful it's not a big deal anyway.

I'm actually stranded in the middle of the ocean of "looking for game".
I'm hoping to find a nice open world sci-fi island to set up camp on for while.
Not Fallout Island though. I've already been there.

Tamriel is such a great place though. I already became a Daedric Prince, Champion of Cyrodiil and a Dovahkiin to boot. I wonder what is next on the list to become. Maybe the Emperor?

and then you go and do the Sheogorath quest in Skyrim and meet your Oblivion character, who became the prince of madness and possibly got a sex/race change.

Sheogorath is a Daedra, and Daedric Princes don't have sexes...so there's that.and then you go and do the Sheogorath quest in Skyrim and meet your Oblivion character, who became the prince of madness and possibly got a sex/race change.

I have a decent number of friends playing ME3 and occasionally I'll pop into the AHF chatroom but more often than not, I'm pugging. So no island for me.
I rarely complain about pugs, mostly they turn out to be decent players with whom you can have some great games. I don't play for speed or points, just the thrill of participating in a good game. Played against Collectors on Hazard Ghost this morning with my Turian soldier and a couple of Flamer wielding geth. Fire explosions all round!
You never know who you'll meet but I tend not to bump into BSN peeps very often unless I'm playing with AHF folks.
