Have you ever considered making more variations of the Maul? I think CEP has these, but they've been around a very long time.
Here's a model on nwvault for the kind of thing I am talking about: a big hammer on the end of a staff that you wield with two hands.
Feanor's Amroury also has some mauls in it.
I'd also like some more variation for the Kukri…
and so on. I could make requests all day for more of these things so I'll just stop now.

If you aren't just talking conversions, I've always wanted Ragnara's longsword.

Then again, I've always wanted Rangnara for my players, but that's a whole other story. I would love the sword if you are up to it.

I'd love to do some mauls! Maybe I could do that Thorgrim's hammer from Conan the Barbarian. Always wanted that in NWN.

I think I am in love. That is absolutely beautiful and my daughter will probably love you more than me now.
They've been around pnp gaming since early childhood and Ragnara is one "iconic" character she adores (I even tracked down one of those minis for her). Since no one ever gets together to game anymore, we've all migrated to using NWN as a proxy. her brother is going to be jealous if her character gets this and he doesn't get his bow! (I'm still working on that behind the scenes).
I look forward to analyzing your tutorials and hopefully getting my own sketches off the paper. A full set of deep crystal weaponry is something I hope to implement on our LAN.

Before I pass that sword off, I want to work on the inner crystal, and maybe put VFX right on/in the weapon index. Because it is curved, and not of the same shape as the basic longsword, applied VFX might look bad.
Is this ice, or some kind of magical psi crystal? I am not super familiar with Ragnara. Can you make some suggestions as to what the glow and VFX should be like?

I think it probably does, but this is slightly longer than the longsword base model (currently). I should load up my plates library for weapon emitters and see what the general shape of scimitar is.

She was the Psychic Warrior iconic in the original 3e Psionics Handbook, and was later heavily replaced by a male Half-Giant in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. The book describes the material as "deep crystal".
Pulling the old book, I'm under the impression that the glow likely comes from an actual power being channeled through it so I wouldn't think adding it would be a necessity unless it's something you really want to do. Perhaps one without and one with that I could use as a template? Her main illustration above seems more of a soft glow coming from within while the Deep Impact power illustration shows a very intense glow that comes off the crystal.
You certainly deserve enough praise for your craftsmanship. I could probably modify AD's psionic weapon VFX as a base since he has a psionic one in that package. Reverse engineering is how I've learned a lot of the things I've been able to do.

Ok, so after some tweaking, I come up with this:

This item is a little longer than a longsword, but after some tweaking, I think it should be ok with longsword VFX if you want to apply something to it. Definitely too big for the scimitar, which is currently in this character's other hand. It appears about 2x as long.
This version has 3 parts, which allowed me to better set a definite cut between the blade and the rest of the weapon. I then set the opacity on the blade to 75%, and gave it a cyan self illumination. For giggles, I also cloned the blade, inverted the normals, and removed any smoothing, which gives the weapon a back-crystal face, which is 50% transparent. Overall, it appears almost completely opague and you can't see much through it. Because I didn't set other details or make a TXI, it also doesn't display emitter particles through it correctly, nor is the blade texture additive with the surrounding textures.
All together, it does not look very special in the daylight, but you can see in a dungeon, it looks sweet!
There are still some issues with the placement of the hand cup. It doesn't actually have a real handle inside the cup, so you might apply one from the handles selection that doesn't look bad with it, if you intend to use it on invisible creatures. The texture on the cup is also crap, but I personally don't want to play with the handle anymore. Somebody else can feel free to beautify the texture.

It looks beautiful as is, MerricksDad. It's turned out much better than I expected given it's odd structure.
I'm a lot better with textures than I was back when I was working on my Ignus NPC (who I am going to revisit here soon) so I don't see that as an issue.
You've made me and and, quite soon, an adorable teen very happy. Thank you so very much for taking this on.

Glad that got cleared up. When I google Ragnara, I get a lot of manga-looking stuff, and a bit of porn.

Just a suggestion. You might want to set the opacity to 100% and/or remove the inner crystal. In-game, mixed with the self illumination, it seems to drag the engine a bit when you zoom in on it. I assume it would ever only appear on one character, but it may cause some issues if the larger VFX start flying.

I think today I will make a broken giant's sword. I liked the one they made for Torchlight 2. Maybe I can model it after that, but give it more of a point at the end.

This morning's project works with Feanor's Mediaeval Armoury 2.1 (http://nwvault.ign.c....detail&id=7332), and is based on Zeus' Hammer in God of War (I think). I see there are two versions of the item online, this was one of them, and it said God of War. But I really have no idea.

You'll be able to find this in the updated package as WXBLMA_ top 9 color 1
Ive also included the blank plates for mid and bottom 9 - 1

Having trouble uploading to both vaults now. IGN claims it is missing the temp upload directory, and the new vault no longer gives an error, it just doesn't do anything when I make any changes or uploads. I changed the old vault description to include my dropbox addresses, but the file at the old vault is an older file.

Yeah, I'll probably just release them as is. I gave up on trying to make my own textures. I also don't even like that set of 4 at all and started working on that other set. I'll probably just post them tomorrow with a module.

So what I'll do is make you a set of rocky shuriken in the range from 11+. If you are using TAD's improved shuriken, they'll overwrite his. However, if you modify your baseitems.2da so have a greater range than 150, I'd start at 151 and go from there. You can do that part if you want, but I'm going to just release a set in the vanilla range of 0-50, again, starting with 11 as TAD did.
I'll make you a few. I have these in mind:
light tone hydrothermal mountain talus
dark colored underdark basalt
jet black volcanic shard (for the Athasian crowd)
glacier rounded fieldstone
transparent quartz shard
limestone skipper
red desert sandstone
