Ok here is a small package of some stones that override shuriken 11-18

https://www.dropbox....rowingStones.7z

To get the shuriken to appear as stones when they are thrown, you will need to either:

1) make a new weapon type

  • clone the shurken line in baseitems 2da
  • change the "AmmunitionType" column to a new number (see ammunitiontypes.2da to determine what number is next)
  • add a related row to ammunitiontypes.2da
  • set the ammo appearance (model column in ammunitiontypes.2da) to one of the stones' weapon models (such as wthsh_011)

2) make all shuriken look like stones when thrown

  • override the shuriken projectile model with one of my stone models (such as copy wthsh_011.mdl to wthsh_001.mdl)

Neither is very hard.

I've left the stone models a bit oversized in the hand so you can see them before you play with them. Shuriken tend to never actually leave the hand when thrown, so it looks really stupid. I'd suggest they get shrunk down to at least half their size so they are mostly hidden in the hand, like most shuriken.

MD where did you get the original texture for the hobgoblins?

The body texture is customized by taking some features of the NWN humanoids and doing some touch ups. The armor bits are modified from somebody's mod for Skyrim. The head is a merge of a few textures, including a comic book face for Hellboy. The pants are just a texture from my old texture library.

Oh, and the shirt is taken from a google screenshot of somebody actually wearing clothes with that texture.

Edit:

I also have a layered PSP document for that texture if it would be helpful to you.

Dooood! Please, do the Skyrims! Those aren't as extravagant as these, but top quality, me thinks!

Given that there are a million skyrim weapons, including custom content, I would have to assume there are more people out there than myself who can already, or who can at least try to, do one or two by themselves. I know my tutorial quality sucks biggus butticus, but swords, axes, and shields could not be easier. I think everybody should try them. They don't take half the work that the throwing-stones idea did, and that took me only 1 hour to create, package, and comment about, all while I was having breakfast.

Here's a cool Dragonbone Club from Skyrim.

This one was a bit harder because of the 3d aspect of the bone head. I took a look at some human femurs and decided it wouldn't be too much harder than just altering that center part after I got the ball made on the end.

Again, this only works if you have the WXBLMA item type from Feanor's Mediaeval Armoury 2.1
