I have been looking at the new pre-purchase N7 Leather Jacket as I really want to get it...however...I do not understand the chest sizing's!! I have a chest circumference of 40 inches (right round the body) as I have always measured, yet the chest size on the sizing chart is 22.25 or greater up to 29 inches...I do not understand.

Those measurements are a single measurement laid flat vs the entire fit/length of the jacket. To find your best fit, I recommend you measure a similar, favorite fitting garment, laid flat and compare those measurements to the size chart. For tops (including hoodies, jackets, and t-shirts), length is measured from shoulder to hem, and width is measured one inch below the armpit and across the chest.
