So it's been over 2 years now. Anyone playing anything else more than ME 3?

Heavily tuned into skyrim again....

Skyrims the sort of game for me though if im honest, now if they could just do that game but make choice and consequence matter id prob never be seen again

This.

I am addicted to Skyrim. (6 characters going currently) Its breadth and and attn to detail flabbergasted me. When I learned that many items (silverware, soul gem fragments, certain books, etc.) were included ONLY for depth and immersion, I wept...

When I learned that back in Oblivion my response was "well s***, what am I going to do with all this stolen silverware?"

EA would never do anything without DRM

http://www.gog.com/games

Using the "developer/publisher" filter and selecting Electronic Arts shows that EA are at least somewhat open to distributing games DRM-Free, even if the selection is limited.

Edited because linking to a filtered GOG game list doesn't work.

Seeing as I only started playing ME3 a year ago, I'm not bored of it yet. Used to play a lot of CoD (mostly MW3, since I was actually pretty good at it), but I haven't touched it in a while.

I'm going to let that link do the talking.

The list by publisher isn't coming through the link. :(

i've only had two characters in skyrim. however my first character i was constantly playing nonstop (and still do once in a while). did all the dlc stuff and made powerful weapons, armor, enchantments, etc. releveled skills until i got to level 110 and then i just stopped. but it's fun to try out different armor and weapons and mostly went around killing bandits all the time. haven't played in a few weeks though cuz i went back me3mp.

Haven't touched the SP of ME3 in a long long time, game is so flawed, still bugs me. Lately I've been playing Skyrim and I just started Borderlands 2 this week, game is gonna suck up all my free time. Love it.

Been playing Diablo III a lot since Patch 2.0 and Loot 2.0 came out.  RMAH and GAH just closed down to and ROS comes out in less then a week.  Diablo 3 is toight!  Anyone else playing D3 again since all the massive revisions?

Typing Electronic Arts into GoG's search-bar does yield results.

Primarily booting up ME3 in off-line mode to test mods, be they retextures, mesh-replacements or simple fiddling with Coalesced.bin entries, as well as checking whether MEHEM, which I consider essential for the SP to be viable will play along with those in place. Haven't played the game per se except for some Armax Arena to test those latter .bin-edits on powers and weapons, may do so again once I get my current Shepard-missy through ME2. No longer interested in MP due to better competition for that around (Warframe was already mentioned, Renegade X is pretty sweet too).

SP-wise, I was cruising through DA:O currently - silent PC rules - as well as SRR: Dragonfall.

I've actually been playing Baldur's Gate.

It's a strange world where I have to think about strategy and can't just collect every party member ever and leave them back at a camp as some sort of dialogue machine and armour stand for stuff my actual combat party members aren't using anymore.

and the order in which my party walks in. Poor Xzar.

Tried Skyrim, did not enjoy it. Got into Realm Reborn and that's still going strong. Cleared my PS3 backlog which included DmC, BioShock Infinite, Brothers, Metal Gear Rising, and Resident Evil 6. Currently playing Tales of Xillia and loving it.

It does. And it shows forty-something games, none of them recent AAA flagship titles the current DRM mindset supports (I think Jade Empire was the most recent one listed, not sure though), making the whole thing pointless EA hate bickering, I just didn't feel A-holeish enough to point that out that time. :wizard:

Out of curiosity, exactly what sort of indicators does the game give you that you're about to enter an area too high level for you?

For example, you might know that a certain region is very dangerous. Going there when you're low level will likely result in your untimely death.

You know that the Ashlands are a very dangerous place... If you go there as soon as you're off the ship you deserve to die.

You know that a certain guy is likely the most powerful wizard in all of tamriel, and the dungeon below his tower is rumoured to be extremely dangerous and filled with all kinds of corpus monsters. It would be wise not to attempt to get there until you're high level.

On the other hand, the route from seyda neen to balmora is used quite often by all kinds of individuals, without the need for additional protection and bodyguards... So it's reasonable to think you can survive there even at lvl 1... So long as you don't strife too far from the road ;)

Thanks for the heads up, I'll edit my post accordingly.

The point of my post was simply to show that there's an opening on EA's part on the DRM-Free front, no matter how small it is. The AAA releases of today are the classics of tomorrow. I don't expect the ME games to show up DRM-Free in the next few years, but there's a good chance it'll happen before I die.

There's a lot of different decision makers at EA. Some of them shouldn't be there, other seem to have a good head on their shoulders.
