Geth could do that.

And in the middle of the first raid they get offered a code upgrade and side with the reapers so that's out.

Point taken, let's stick to good old firepower.

the only way I'd find fighting reaper capital ships compelling, was if we boarded them commando style, and destroyed them from the inside. though, after a few raids your commando teams would be indoctrinated reaper lackeys. so that's out the window.

Funny how little work seemed to be done on figuring out how to detect and reverse indoctrination.

I mean apparently it's no big deal to preserve and reattach a brain to a corpse that did an orbital faceplant.  But find a way to combat alien mind control?  Totally Beyond the Impossible!

I do think that ME3 should have played up Harry Lawson as a villain and a rival to T.I.M. And more sleeper agents of the Reapers cause chaos.

More variety of Reaper Enemies that uses different tactics and weapons. Like a Suicide Volus bomber that will run and shoot until it gets to its target. It will not be stopped until you kill him.

But there is work done in that department. In the leviathan DLC the piece of Sovereign is in a statis field that prevents it from indoctrinating anyone. That is pretty impressive as a start. For anything more the scientists of the galaxy would have needed more time to develop it further. You don't except humans to come up with an antidote to indoctrination (which the Reapers perfectet over millions of years) in a few months, do you?

That would kind of be like telling a caveman that he better comes up with a way to defend himself against machine-guns in the next five minutes. Not really feasible.
