I couldn't find a thread for this which was surprising. I don't really have anything of note to say other than, is anyone interested and/or getting this game?

It is my most anticipated game of this year and may be what gets me to buy a PS4. I hope it's not a disappointment.

Looks pretty but I'm not really sure if it will be up my alley, all the videos I've seen just show mindless city roaming and occasionally attacking bad guys, I have yet to see anything that tells me what the game is about or why I should care about the world or the character I'm controlling. Then again I've been looking for the next big PS4 game and by the looks of thing MGS Ground Zero won't take me long to get through so I guess this is the PS4 game that will keep me occupied until Watchdogs, The Order, Destiny and Dragon Age Inquisition come out.

I loved Infamous 1 so much. Played through the story three times and got 100% completion twice, I believe. Also Platinum'd it. Infamous 2 wasn't nearly as good though, so I'm really wavering on whether or not I want this game. I'll probably wait for the reviews. I still don't have a PS4 so it would be a $460 investment.

The metacritic score for all the combined reviews of inFamous Second Son is an 81. That Really good in my opinion. Thief was a 68 and Killzone Shadow Fall was a 73. Played both games and sold them both. This is a game I have been waiting for to finally get me more interested in my PS4. I really hope it meets my high expectations.

Based on stuff seen on net, I have this very strong initial dislike of  the frat boy hero main character.  I basically  want to watch him suffer. I hope game has death animations like ones in Last of Us, where some zombie or another tears his Bro face in two.

 

Based on meta critic so far, some sort of general consensus about this being a good game which offers nothing exceptional is forming. I was  secretly hoping the 1st post-launch exlusive of new gen would have been something more  remarkable. Even though in all likelyhood I remain completely unable to justify buying PS4 in next 2-3 years, I'm very eager to feel glee over PS repeatedly outdoing it's competition. With it's competition being literally the Antichrist and all. 

 

 

 

I wonder how much time people posting these day one reviews have to play, write and think about the game they are reviewing. What is the time window they have availabble fot this process? Four days? Five?Three? I mislike amount of attentiion people(myself certainly included) give to meta critic. People buying games are quaranteed to be the last group these finger-on-pulse-of-NOW reviews serve. Each of these reviews is likely to be lighter investment of thought and effort than anything found on increasingly irrelevant printed word weeks, even months after game is out.

Metacritic scores are more or less what I expected. I will probably end of getting it but does not look like the PS4 has it's system seller yet. I am still concerned that the game is ultimately shallow and offers very little between parkour and blowing **** up.

I imagine this game will be my first PS4 title - I enjoyed the hell out of the first two games. I've come to understand that the plot isn't that well-received, which is disappointing, since that was one of the previous games' strong parts. Would also be a a shame if they got rid of the comic book, voice-over, cutscenes since that's pretty much a trait of Sucker Punch and adds to the atmosphere. Also Delsin looks completely unlikeable, perhaps it's because his character is solely based on Troy Baker's ego

I think Deslin would make a good evil character in the canon a counterpart to Cole.

I got the game yesterday and I am enjoying it.  It does look amazing, although it rains a lot! Grey sky everywhere.

 

 

Luckily I do like Troy Baker as Delsin not only has his voice, but he looks like him too (with dark hair).   The smoke dash ability is quite fun, particularly shooting across buildings.  I think the neon powers come later.
