Pretty sure Sucker Punch is owned by SCEE.

Pfft this guy and his crazy questions.
I'm just now getting the motivation to play this game, I'm enjoying the dynamic of switching between power sets.
I'd keep it if I were you. DLC coming this summer and it's highly possible that it will add quite a bit. Personally I really hope they add those powers hinted at in one of the last audio logs you collect.I had fun with the game, but it was short and repetitive. I thought the final mission was going to be the halfway point. Overall worth the ~$25 it will have cost after I trade it in.

That's with the jacket and the side mission, right? The mission gives a little back story, not much though. I'd pass then, unless you need to know every little detail.
I want to unlock the X-bone jacket!!!! I am having fun doing all of the side stuff and just causing mahem. The attack plane for one of the district showdowns was fun and caught me by surprise
Spoiler
Nah, it was bullocks even back then too.

Yep, but I was appreciative of the attempt.
I agree, but I think the simple approach works in relation to it being an open world game and causing havok throughout can really have a weird effect on that element, if it was abused because of the notion of the game taking the open world approach, compared to a linear title. Though I agree, it could use a lot of work, but I think it does it's job currently.
Got Second Son on release day, pretty good albeit short.
The problem with the moral choice in inFamous and other games alike, like say the first BioShock, is that it's an unbalanced mess -- In the long run, all it really does is forcing you to either sing the puppies to sleep or murder them senselessly. You need to be all the way good or all the way evil to be able to unlock the most amusing abilities - Content shouldn't be locked out of the player's reach. The player should be able to determine if it's worth playing through again which inFAMOUS certainly is. It's not letting you role-play either because you'd always be Cole McNice or Cole McBellend -- Say, if you have two equally viable, equally difficult solutions to a problem - say, humanely suffocating your costly, vegetative wife with a pillow or digging through to her femoral arteries with a cheese grater, then the latter choice is just irrational. And you can't relate yourself to a character whose actions makes no sense at all.
In truth, what we'd consider to be 'a-moral' option would have to be the one that appeals to a convenient or riskier route, for someone weak-willed, maybe. You could spend a lot of time to find someone in your life to settle down with or you could just **** a cow and risk angry farmers with paparazzi connections. That's what consider a moral choice.
Another issue also raised with this system is that, ironically, Cole ends up having no character at all, since a lot of the scenes and dialogue have to allow for the character being Cole McLovely or Cole McBellend. It's rather jarring sometimes, the first game, to see him respond to a character in a tone that would suggest he's following the good path, even though he's shirt is as dirty as an un-washed sock. In conclusion, the choice of altering your perspectives become pointless, and the game might as well ask you at the start if you're going for a saint or **** run and stop nagging us with the same choice every five minutes.
But, the game isn't really a "role" playing game just because it has choices like that and it's not that the content is "locked" entirely, it's just that if you choose to follow that path you will gain those abilities, but nothing is stopping you from once gaining the ability, to say halfway "hey, I'll go down this evil karma path" and then gain those, but knowing that you will lose the ability to use the others is a fair trade off. I like the idea of not being able to get certain abilities if you choose one path or the other, it mixes up the gameplay for that game specifically.
A couple of things; there are a limited number of shards so you cannot really change paths like that. Also, I was pretty sure I got locked out of the "evil" ending in Second Son because of good karma. As Chris said, why even have the choice then.
Is Nirvana part of the soundtrack or was it just for the trailer.

They may as well just have that one choice Good or Evil at the start. At least the original gave the illusion of karmic freedom these two kinda don't it kinda lessens the impact of the game itself.

I don't know if it's part of the trailer, but Nirvana is in the game for a few minutes.
I am loving my new power. A lot more fun then smoke, and I loved smoke. I love the story art and am interested in the plot. But the combat and freedom...I'm loving this game more then I thought I would
I liked all the powers equally actually, they all had there pros and cons. I probably used 'video' the most, it was very OP on the good karma track.
I played this for about a week, then got distracted by Bound by Flame. Now that that is done, I'm planning to come back to ISS, but I'm a little worried that I've forgotten how to play. ![]()
When I left off, I'd cleared the first four districts (100%), and half of the fifth. Once that one is done, I'll be heading into districts with jammers.
You guys are talking about stuff I haven't even seen yet, and I'm intrigued! Is there another skill tree that shows up later, after you've maxed the melee/smoke ones?
