So, the genetic pool could be kind of shallow for the old god baby O_o

That's... a disturbing thought. The soul of an old god and the face of something from The Hills have Eyes.

I think you meant pimping Alistair out.

Gotta keep my Warden's pimp hand strong.

A: "I love you Warden."

W: "Shut up baby. I know it."

I'm sure he enjoyed it on some level, otherwise it wouldn't be "possible". I felt worse for my warden.

Yes. On the purely physical level. That's not the same as wanting to do it.

Magic and/or knowing a bit about herbs will solve all your issues for 'getting it up'.

Morrigan's not an idiot :P I'm sure she was prepared.

Pimping Morrigan out was the most awkward conversation in that game. Entirely inappropriate. Bad, Bioware! Bad!

Alistair was the one you pimped out and given he's either a virgin or only had sex with you it sort of goes back to the days of selling off the virgin daughter to get a nice coffer for her only in this case it's a ritual that gives her a baby of massive power old god soul status.

Again though, given that Alistair has a more female energy and Morrigan has a more male energy - it feels kind of like the same thing. He has a lot of traits you would expect women to have. His energy is much different from the other men in the game. Morrigan's energy is much different than all the women in the game. She's not soft or feminine or compassionate and caring. She's a blunt force sort of person where if you were to change their sexes so that Morrigan was a male and Alistair was a female, you would never even once (unless there is a reference that is gender specific in the dialogue) give it a second thought. And I think that add some ick factor to the ritual because it still is male energy taking advantage of female energy.

Yes. Some comments here seem to defer to the 'she's hot so he's lucky' mindset. But he's either a virgin or just barely not one at this point, and he has a different view of sex AND he cannot stand her. She creeps him out. So really, it would be like asking any one of us to sleep with someone we found kind of revolting.

Hope she used some herbs to makes sure she didn't pass STDs to my boyfriend.

I also can see her sleeping around. I never really got the impression she was a virgin. And of course, she would never admit that she's been around to someone romancing her. She has that sort of manipulation to her character. Also the sex was probably also used to gain power. I wouldn't put that past her. Kind of how she used the guy's attraction toward her (in a story she tells) to get out of trouble.

I find it interesting that Morrigan and Flemeth come off as man haters. When you first meet them both as a female warden they ask if your woman's mind gives you more insight or something like that. Both respond to you differently because you are a woman. I wonder how that goes if you are a man?

I remember this one. She ask if you think differently referring to the warden as the handsome one.

Really? Well now that is interesting. She's manipulating you based on looks. Using that to her advantage. Sex as power.

And yet, a woman might have a different view point than a man. It happens particularly on certain topics, but having a different viewpoint because you are handsome? That's got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

It would have been better done if she had said something like 'You've been silent, not ready to rush to judgment' and used that as her reasoning. In fact, that would have worked excellently for both sexes rather than what was done.

I don't think Flemeth in particular is a man hater. She's a humanity hater. Slight difference. Heh. She does have her issues with men (I suppose it trails back to Conobar), but she seems more like a general misanthropist to me.

As for the "woman's mind" comment, I never played a human female. On my female elf, she just said "elven mind".

On my first playthrough I was thinking, "How the hell am I going to convince Alistair to do this?" It came down to, "It's mmmagggiiccc, Alistair. Don't question it." lol

The conversation did lead to one of his funniest lines.

"Be slain by the archdemon or sleep with Morrigan. How does somebody make that choice?"

I feel bad for him though. Imagine your first time having sex being with someone you hate like Morrigan. And that frightened look he gives in the ritual scene when Morrigan looks like she's going to eat him... The poor guy. I'd take the bullet for him if I had been playing a male Warden.

I agree. He is terrified. I tested this with a warden who romanced her just to see if the warden's face was different. It wasn't. It appears that all the wardens have that look. She used them and they are not happy about producing the old god baby.

It's not even just the ritual scene. I spotted this screenshot in my folder and she really looks creepy, like her evil masterplan is working.

At that point you know she's thinking, "This will only make it that much easier to sleep with him later."

It's interesting. If you play a female warden Morrigan makes no attempt to get on Alistair's good side even though her end-game requires getting him to sleep with her. She potentially befriends the pc though which leaves it up to a female warden to convince Alistair to close his eyes and get on with it.

I always thought that was stupid and made her claims of being a master manipulator laughable.

The whole game she's doing nothing but antagonizing Alistair despite the PC being female thus unable to give her what she wants. Sheer brilliance. Even if she somehow assumed they'd run into more Wardens (Maker knows why when Flemeth and Alistair make it clear they're the only wardens in Fereldan who survived and Loghain is going to block the ones from Orlais) you'd think she'd at least cozy up to Alistair to make sure she always had a backup plan.  But nope. Constant antagonizing to the point where she has to try to get the female PC (who might also not like her) to do her dirty work. Boggles the mind.

And it's not the first time either. Remember Flemeth? Sending the warden to kill the Witch of the Wilds of legends, one who may even be an old god, was a suicide mission. Believe me, I died enough the first time I faced her.

On most characters, I can't find a reason to kill Flemeth. She saved my life. Plus, she's funny.

And when you do it, Flemeth assumes the worst. That you're playing to Morrigan's "tune". I don't want to be reduced to something so pathetic. Maybe it makes sense if you romance her, but not otherwise.

A look that resembles fiendishly preparing to suck your mate's soul? I'm pretty sure she's the only one. lol

Even without meta-gaming you can deduce Flemeth only saves your life for her own ends. She admits it's so the warden can continue to stop the blight by uniting the lands. By meta-gaming you know it's also for the dark ritual.

I do find her amusing. She comes across as less cynical than Morrigan too despite Morrigan claiming to have adopted Flemeth's views.

But I've always killed Flemeth because my wardens are always friends with Morrigan and won't deceive her like that. Plus who wants to skip an epic battle with a dragon? It's ironic because in real life I'd greatly dislike a person like Morrigan but when it's not real you can find entertainment in her evil nature.
