It is unwise to assume all Chevaliers are as the woman in Denerim described. Any group is full of its share of saints and sinners.
OK I officially want a Chevalier in the party :)

Some might remember this about the magisters.

Nah. Every group is full of sinners, and saints are just the deadbeats they dressed up to make themselves look good.
We're gonna get there, and find the Chevaliers are a rotten crowd, just like everybody else in town.

Everything I have read/heard about them has caused me to view the Chevaliers as a whole, despicable people.
For me, personally, I cannot see my Inquisitors getting along with one.
Remember that Aveline's father was a chevalier. She turned out just fine.

An exiled chevalier who told Orlais to screw itself, more or less.

Just give me Ser Michel, and I'll be happy.

If he survives Empires mask he'll become Dragon age's version of Chuck Norris.

That can be said about anyone.

Is the Orlesian civil war even confirmed for DAI?

Is the Orlesian civil war even confirmed for DAI?
well it sounds like from what Lob read that it isn't resolved in the book.
Plus, the OCW is kind of the reason Orlais can't deal with the Veil Tears in DAI so I am thinking that yes.
It is at least more confirmed than the dalish uprising/issue may be. We still don't know how that will play out. It could be a rebellion, it could be them waiting for their opportunity, it could be them using the eluvians to tear open the veil, it could be as simple as them having their big once a decade meeting and deciding to storm Tevinter and retake the newly rediscovered ruins of Arlathan, we have no clue. A lot of assumptions going on we really don't know about.

Yes, he was forced to go to Ferelden after he lost his patron do to The Game. But we can't deny that he lived (at least for a part of his life ) after the chevalier code, thing that influenced his way of thinking and behavior. Despite all this, he seemed a pretty ok guy from what Aveline told us and if we look at her, she is also an ok person do to, in part, his education.

I remembered that it was stated that there was still going on somewhere. Maybe the GI coverage. Is the Orlesian civil war even confirmed for DAI?
Edit: it states that the nations and organization aren't able to help due their infighting, so the OCW is still going on.
The coverage implies that there might be someone under all the crysis in southern Thedas.

Well, great. Let's hope we don't have to intervene.

The coverage implies that the Inquisition will be setting its signor on variosi groups, including the Chantry, the Wardens and the Orlesians. We'll see what the Inquisition will be able to do.Well, great. Let's hope we don't have to intervene.
It Might be that we won't resolve the OCW. The same could go for other conflict though, like the MvT war.

Yes, but only if he looks like Inigo Montoya.
I'd have the Chevaliers look like these guys:
