I think I actually prefer Rannoch without Tali and Legion. Xen is much funnier and Geth VI hasn't done a complete 180 on everything and is less of a guilt tripper.

I don't think I could survive a playthrough with only James, EDI and Liara all the way through to the end. It's bad enough that Tali and the VS are only available for the last half of the vanilla game. There's no question why certain squadmates ranked so highly in the usage stats Bioware released. This must be such a lonely playthough with most of your old friends dead and all.
What was Xen's line? "The Geth are doing a lovely dance right now, and will serve drinks afterwards."I think I actually prefer Rannoch without Tali and Legion. Xen is much funnier and Geth VI hasn't done a complete 180 on everything and is less of a guilt tripper.

It literally is Shepards choice to be blatanly put. Both of you did point out, why in my opinion, this is by far the most poorly written scene in the game.
The point of the writing was to contrive a scenario where the course of a massive battle between two parties could be decided by the player character through the dialogue wheel. The scope of the conflict is beyond that of a TPS and it also saves resources as the choice is simply a "choose your cinematic" at the end of a linear path.
They wanted Shepard to personally resolve the Geth/Quarian plot no matter what.

Yep. Xen is pure comedy gold.
It doesn't help that Tali's post-Sanctuary scene is uncomfortable if you like Miranda and that Tali doesn't fit my playstle. Not that I kill her that often.

I hear you. I myself have never killed her, but different squadmates are a better fit for different classes and builds. I've yet to really find a fit for either Ashley or Kaidan.Yep. Xen is pure comedy gold.

My problem is why do we have to have both Legion and Tali to make peace? When you cure/sabotage the genophage, we don't need anyone specific.
Its unfortunate that we can't just skip the whole Geth/Qurian conflict all together. I have enough ems to get the best ending. The machines want to be "a people"(what a joke) that decide to be slaves instead of being destroyed and the Quarians who decide "let's go to war while a galactic war is happening". Dumb and dumber.

Why should I care. In the case of Thessia, had the stupid asari revealed the artifact earlier, the loss my not of been as bad. So again why should I care when the Asari government didn't care?
You don't have to care. Like you said, I don't think it would be fair to blame you for something you didn't cause.
However you shouldn't judge the entire species based on the incompetence of their government. Not even Liara knew of the Prothean beacon. Watching the entire race suffer for it comes off as cruel.

How would the galaxy judge them when they find out what the Asari government did? They would definitely look at them in a different way from before.

Had it been any other species, she would be the first one to tell everybody.

But you know 1) the asari didn't know what the beacon was 2) vendetta doesn't reveal the information until the crucible is finished so it made no difference 3) the game would be completely different 4) how would the galaxy view humans for letting cerberus get out of control 5) these arguments just go round and round 6) it's late I need to sleep 7) I really hate architects they really have no idea what they are doing 7) why is my other half snoring.

Of course. We mustn't blemish the Master Race.
Hell, Xil would sic the Reapers on their homeworld immediately for it. I'm guessing Earth is going to get fried, then Rannoch, then Sur'Kesh, then Palaven, then probably Khaje, then Irune, then Heshtok. And Kar'Shan. Especially Kar'Shan. And of course, Tuchanka. About the only races that won't get killed are the Drell and the Elcor.

The Drell are on Kahje, too.

Who is this Xil fellow(gal?)?
An all around unpleasant person who takes to crusading for the rights of so called "oppressed" virtual species, when she isn't busy making excuses for the asari or telling us why we are all morally inferior, which I find hilarious

Man, is there like a BSN blacklist of people to avoid?

Man, is there like a BSN blacklist of people to avoid?
That depends a lot on which kind of people you want to avoid.
The likes of Xil and the now gone Plaintiff are everywhere on the DA boards, the ME boards merely have to contend with David and a few others

A few other pro-human+anti-alien things:
ME1
- Refuse to give the geth data to Tali.
- Aid Gianna Parasini on Noveria (gets rid of Anoleis).
- Kill Chorban and turn Jahleed in to C-Sec.
ME2
- Turn in evidence of Rael'Zorah's crimes to cause chaos amongst the quarians.
General
- Do not punch the reporter who is herself a human nationalist: instead respond with the intimidate options.
- Be nice to Conrad Verner.
