I block lots of people on lots of forums.
The only reason why I won't block people on this forum is because I do have the authority to do something if someone crosses the line, and that comes with being able to see the post.
It's something I openly encourage posters to do with each other here, given that some people are just at odds with other posters for who knows what reason. If I start to get the impression that a poster is conveying in their posts a general disdain for another, I'll recommend the former set the latter on ignore. If the alternative is reading the latter's post, getting irate and attacking the latter, then I consider it preferable to fostering increased belligerence.
