Sony announced today at GDC it's project for virtual reality gaming named Project Morpheus.

 

The headset will have a 1080p display with a 90 degree field of view and a full 360 degrees of head tracking.

Worth noting that this is a prototype only and that these specs are not final.  No release date or price have been announced either.
