No need to be so harsh with the dude. I know that there are a very small percentage of gamers out there who are so paranoid about spoilers and stuff that they refuse to do any research on a game because they want everything to be fresh and new.
I personally agree with you, MGSGZ length has been well documented for some time and a logical person would have been aware about that ( although I'm still a bit shocked by the 10 minutes thing, that is insane ) but not everyone does the logical thing.
There's no reason to believe that reviews will contain spoilers, which I wouldn't consider an excuse, unless it was a video review. There are plenty of ways to research regarding a game without spoiling. Go to a forum and ask others etc. There are literally many options for him to have properly helped himself to avoid being disappointed.

From what I have heard, if your a gamer who mostly interested in the storyline and the characters , No.What makes this sad is the probability of this selling well based off the series name alone. Does the SP even have any replayability?
Aside from that it does have a fair amount of replayability. It takes place on a fairly large open space, it's not obvious where you should go, all routes are heavily guarded and there are a lot of different ways to accomplish your objectives. Go in guns blazing and you will get through fairly quickly but get a low ranking. Do the stealth thing and it will take longer. Fully explore your surroundings and do the stealth thing and you should get a few hours out the main campaign. It's meant to be replayed and the gamer is supposed to experiment with different routes and strategies. The there are optional objectives that that are unlocked after completing the campaign.
I imagine this is the type of game that appeals to gamers who okay the Batman "Arkham" games and spend a lot of time on the challenge maps trying to get the highest rank or ME3 gamers who continue to invest a lot of time in ME3 multi player.
Me, I'm a storyline gamer. If it is not storyline related I don't give a damn about it. I don't care about rankings or leaderboard scores. I don't care about how many patches I've collected, how many achievements/trophies I've unlocked. I not interested over coming insane challenges and bragging about awesome I am. I just want to play a game with great gameplay and experience a great story, just a few hours of pure escapism.

That's for you to judge. I mean, maybe the type of game it is will make it easier for you to jump back into despite its short length. Maybe not. I tend to fool around in open world games even when its "over".

What, the voice actor for Big Boss or the same voice actor that's been voicing Snake for years? If it's the second one: OF COURSE!
Oh, David Hayter is of course the best, but if Kojima really wanted a different VA, they should've rather taken Big Boss' VA from MGS4 for a tiny bit of continuity.

I thought that was who they where going to get but nope. Gotta go all Hollywood!

I still think we'll see Solid Snake on Phantom Pain voiced by David Hayter thus why Kiefer Sutherland is voicing Big Boss.
I'v watched GZ on YouTube (since I don't own any console) and while it is shorter than an episode from a Telltale Games title it's very enjoyable. The story is well done and the ending with Paz is excruciating.

People also thought Kevin Conroy would make a cameo in Arkam Origins, he didn't. .

I know right? I thought that you might encounter Solid Snake in Zanzibar at the end of the game(unlikely) and that they'd let Hayter voice Solid and Richard Doyle voice Big Boss.I thought that was who they where going to get but nope. Gotta go all Hollywood!
I also hate how every game has to have celebrity voice actors now, that normally don't do voice acting.

I thought Keifer Sutherland did a fine job voice Big Boss, not as good as David Hayter who will always be the voice of Snake to me but still
Plus you should've known before buying it what you was getting into it

It depends, you can go both the action route or a stealth route. There's also like a couple small objectives you can do while doing the main objective
But the rest of Ground Zero mainly goes towards the special op missions

What? It's not like I'm saying he was the best or great, I'd still rather have David Hayter or Richard Doyle voice Big Boss
But for what it's worth I think he did a fine job

I thought he did a horrible job, in fact the voice acting was overall terrible, more so compared to MGS1,2 and 3. Even MGS4 was better then this junk. If this is any indication of the quality of MGS5 then just lol. Another stealth series will get the last nail on the coffin.

Is it just me that has no interest in Metal Gear unless the protagonist is Solid Snake?

I really like more this Big Boss arc (MGS3, Special Ops, Peace Walker and MGS5) than the Solid Snake arc.

Agreed.
Also did Solid ever fanboy out over a modified 1911? I think not.

I like what they're doing with Big Boss, showing the transition from Naked Snake to the man known as Big Boss

I prefer Solid Snake as a character but at the end of the I only enjoyed the first Metal Gear Solid. I find not like MGS2 at all ( technically not really a Solid Snake game ) and I was not happy with the the frail old man Solid Snake of MGS4. All the Solid Snake games have convoluted plots and dominated with never ending talk about genetics and gene therapy.
The Big Boss games are more consistent ( Snake Eater and Peace Walker especially ), less talk, less baggage, more straight forward themes.
I do feel that MGS2 ruined Solid Snake for me and took his storyline down a tangent that it should not have gone down.

MGS2 was about Raidan though, not Snake.

MGS2 was an excellent game, culminating in its post-modern take on the spy-thriller and overall bending the barriers between player and game. The player essentially becomes Raiden in the game, as Raiden is as equally perplexed by the things going on, which even leads to the questions of what is real and what isn't? For player & protagonist alike. The dogtag with the player's name on it, as Raiden chooses to throw it away and pick his own name (freeing himself from the player) and creating his own future. Sealing his development as a character and a person. The eerie talk of social media's effect on society was scary due to how close it is to the reality of social media in modern society of today. Solidus was an great villain as well. MGS2 was ahead of its time and truly unique. Snake Eater will remain Kojima's best though. He'll never create anything like it again.

And I acknowledged that in my first paragraph. It is sort of a solid Snake game, you don't control him but according to all the interviews and articles I've read Kojima wanted us to experience Solid Snake from a different perspective so while most of the story focuses on Raiden it is also a Solid Snake game.
