If it were a BioWare game with such nonsense I would care a lot more but somehow I just luckily... don't.

I hope the backlash is bad enough that Kojima and Konami won't do this ever again even when we were in a Metal Gear drought.
The only meaningful backlash is this ripoff not selling well.

MGS2 rocks.
I don't recall you being able to reverse-parachute enemy soldiers into your army in MGS2 ![]()

This is what happens when you don't do your due diligence and buy a game solely because of the legacy of the franchise.
It's sad the days of just buying a game by a developer you trust are pretty much over.

IF ONLY. The only thing greater than that would be the ability to do it to Russian soldiers voiced by Michael Bell.
"Arrrre you going to shoot me? If you'rrrre going to do ehht, then -- ...what the hell" *flies away*

Well, you still can, but don't expect them to deliver a quality title each time. I know everyone has issues with this, I know I do - but I should really base games off of what that game itself is wanting to achieve, without looking at past titles. It might be a bit different with sequels, but I think the same mindset should apply because you never know what happens in development, writers leave, programmers, etc - who could of make that "magic" with the last game happen and it might be missing for a future title.

To be fair, Kojima would've rather had Ground Zero be part of Phantom Pain. Konami is more than likely behind the cash grab

Seeing as the length was not the only issue, this would not really do any good.

I thought that was the only issue, well minus the price.

I watched the Angry Joe review on this. I admit I lost it when he made the joke about the next game being an open world funeral grounds ![]()

True but I don't have very high standards in the first place and if you can't meet those...

Oooh. Konami is konami and Konami is the worst

AJ brought up a lack of exposition. I guess that's fair but jumping in at the 4th game chronologically is stupid.

Yea, that kinda falls on Joe for not getting the HD collection when he had plenty of time to do it before Ground Zero even came out

Lack of exposition is not really a negative but its still something worth mentioning in a review just so people are aware of it. Personally, I hate it when a series holds your hand into later titles to cater to the newer crowd.

Except it's not the brand that makes the games, it's the people behind it. What I think is important is to bring the people working on the project into the spotlight,so everyone can see what you got swinging around.
DA2's development team was generally a bit different from Origins, new lead designer and everything. I think I should link this article, who Croshaw wrote a short while back.
