Ah...
Well Ubisoft yet again provides more evidence that they are scummier than EA, but for some reason I think EA will still receive more hate in the end.

How in the world does that make them "scummy?"
It might be dumb to have parity, but I'll bet that the PS4 is going to have a more consistent framerate. And really, that has nothing to do with their "scumminess" or how good or bad of a company they are.
Parity issues aside, it sounds like the game may be coming in as a hot mess anyways.
Why do you say that?

Just put down my digital download preorder for the Gold Edition of Unity on the One a couple of minutes ago.

Another Co-Op trailer.
Do wonder how it works. What decides who of the assassins you play if the missions can be done right in the story.
Will they Mighty-Morph into a giant eagle if they group up reeeally tight?

With their battle cry being "Freedom!", to be sure.
Anyhow, haven't finished Black Flag so will put this game on hold for the time being.

System requirements are insane. Insane as in, mentally deranged, not as in "really awesome!"
Just glad I was already planning on upgrading.

I don't game on PC but explain them. I saw people talking about it on IGN but I want explaining on the whole "terribly unoptimized" argument people are agreeing on given I don't pay attention to PC parts and such.

Well the minimum specs are for a CPU that costs around $150, which isn't too bad, but the GPU (video card) costs $300 dollars. That's just for minimum. That means that the people who made the engine did a very, very poor job at scalability, which is how you can normally play games with low specs. Additionally, the minimum and recommended CPU made by AMD is literally the same, which just reeks of something wrong.

Dat HDD space.
I bet it'll be like Black Flag where the "Alternative Edition" only requires half of that.

For comparison, the MINIMUM graphics card for Unity is better than the RECOMMENDED card for DA:I.
Yeah.

World War 2 France is what is happening, I think.

Ooowww. Looks like there's going to be animus glitches sending us to France in different time periods. People have been asking about AC in a WW2 setting for ages, and hopefully they'll have some older time periods. Interesting. I guess it'll be something like the glitches that Subject 16 used in earlier games but not just puzzles. I also wonder if it'll be Juno messing with the animus, maybe.
Although it's odd that just the other day I read an article about the director (or someone high up) of Far Cry 4 who was on AC3, talking about how AC games in feudal Japan and WW2 would be boring and so on, when this is something we're going to see with this trailer and the Shao Jun spin-off. Ubisoft is weird, they keep letting their people say things which seem to put down the things that Ubisoft are trying to build hype for.

Yeah.
I don't hate Ubisoft nor do I give the time of day to all the people who whine about resolutions and 1080p and whatever other p, but I really am concerned about the graphics requirements. If Ubisoft didn't tone down the settings on the current-gen consoles, then how come the bare minimum hardware for the PC version is so much more powerful than anything in the consoles? I myself pass the specs and will probably get a good framerate, but still, not everyone has great hardware; even I don't have "great" specs, and most people I know are pretty average in their hardware. I get that people want games to look better, but games like Black Flag could be scaled all the way back to a minimuim of a GTX 245, which is ancient compared to the minimum of a GTX 680 that Unity's asking for. Good graphics are fine, but making games scaleable for those of us who don't have thousands of dollars to shell out for a machine that'll get oudated in less than a year anyway is much, much more important. Not every PC gamer is a huge graphics enthusiast.
