I can't give you many build suggestions for the Vanilla Human Infi. I would spec into just Tac Cloak and Sticky Grenades, but Cryo Blast does have a bit of a debuff. My first instinct would be to grab a Black Widow or Javelin. If that didn't work, I'd try the Valiant.

On your other question, I hate the Novaguard. Although I do hate most Vanguards, due to the fact that I play off-host mostly.

I never play the Novaguard. I can't stand the yelling, and won't inflict it on the team. Maybe I would as a solo.

Why does everyone get bent out of shape when people want to say something is the worst or best.

unless all 6 original human kits are equally good, and they are not, then one has to be the "worst"

That doesn't mean someone who says, say the sentinel is the worst, thinks that the sentinel sucks.

It means out of the 6 kits:

Adept

Soldier

Engineer

Infiltrator

Sentinel

Vanguard

the sentinel is the worst

and it is by the way

Don't try to fool me, nobody plays the AA anymore. Both she and HS are dead.

I play both on a regular basis! :P

As many here have said all the vanilla human kits are good and I play with all of them frequently. Here's my list from best to worst:

Engineer

Adept

Vanguard

Soldier

Infiltrator

Sentinel

The list is ranked according to how much fun it is to play the kit, not effectiveness. Why is the sentinel my least favorite of the vanilla humans?

I also don't like the sentinel - it's effective but I find it a boring version of the AA.

^ This is why. He basically is an AA with tech armor replacing stasis. Considering that both of them have 500 base shields, that tech armor DR will not be noticed very much and stasis would be a much more useful power.

As for the OP, I'd say Adept is the best, followed by Soldier/Engineer/Vanguard and Infi/Sent in the 'low tier'. But in truth there are no bad Infiltrators and I really like the Sentinel. Warp Ammo, Talon/Wraith and just go Throw -> Headshot the staggered sob. It never gets old for me.

Plus the Sentinel looks cool, TA + Reckon Hood and all.

lol@calling an Infiltrator to be the worst among a certain group of kits.

It has a Tactical Cloak. That alone probably makes it better than any other listed kit.

Worst =/= bad. To say there is no worst is to say they are all effectively identical.

I loved HA on console. On PC with the Shockwave bug it's annoying. HA and HI are my two favorite kits. My least favorite kit is by far the Sentinel. Played it a total twice in these 2 years.

He hides like a Pyjak, of course he's the worst.

+1 (Edit.... for the AA and HS...... Actually all the vanilla humans as well)

OT: Put the Raider on the standard HI shotty build with either Shock Trooper or Geth Scanner with an Adrenalin Amp and go to town. Your worst enemy in the game is however going to be swarmers.

I don't like the sentinel. It's not a bad kit but I don't like it.

As far as HI, use black widow and start popping heads as you please.

I'd go with Sentinel as well.  Just don't like that kit.  Would rather have the AA

Where is my dislike button?

Human Sentinel for me, though it is fun to play as melee.

The HI is very effective, but the OP is right that there are other kits in the same class that have similar powers which are clearly better.

HSent is uninspiring but the comparison with other kits in the same class is less clear cut.

I used to think like this, until I saw the light - it's a fantastic stress release.

Biggs just had to stand an entire game of me playing the Novaguard... and making ample use of the "invincibility frames" Nova gives. I heard he loved the constant yelling and Nova audio. :)

I think the vanilla human kits are all good but not flashy like the DLC characters. My least favorite would be the Human Vanguard just because I hate the sound effects of Shockwave and the irritable yells when they use nova.

None of them are bad. But if I had to pick one... the vanguard. Just 'cause he sucks off host and is too repetitive.

I play the Fury for a stress release, the Nova Vanguard is stressful to play.

If too much lag offhost then I agree, novaguard can be stressful. But in normal conditions, I find it fun offhost and fantastic on host. Can't play more than one or two games with it in a row mind you - it does become repetitive, but for the odd game it's a great change of pace.

Fury requires running whereas charge gets me into cqc at the press of a button. ^_^

maybe on Gold, that's where I play my unorthodox melee kits like the Punching Juggernaut.

I used to think the human infiltrator was crap but then a long, long, long time ago I played a game of platinum with Uh Cold and watched him wreck everything. Opinion changed.

Any difficulty, principle is roughly the same. Platinum has much finer tolerances for lag, but I've played it offhost with novaguard and been quite successful (good host). Not something I would do regularly, and I do tend to play gold now almost exclusively.

The Juggauntlet is perfectly viable on Platinum. I just wouldn't do it with pugs :P
