Ooo! I like those. I'm pretty impartial to "chief" though. For Vivienne I think her nickname will have something to do with iron or metal, since she is know around Orlais as being the "Iron Lady." Or "Heels" since she refuses to wear proper boots in combat.

lol, not sure about the first 2, Varic didn't say her name during the pax demo right? tho i think cue-ball (or the thadas equivalent) is a possibility.

 

Yeah, he called her "Seeker" when he was telling her they should go "see their handiwork" and check out destroyed Crestwood at the end. 

 

I'd love for Vivienne to be called Fancypants. If Varric doesn't call her that, I probably still will. lol

Varric could have grown up past his need for nicknames. It's been a long time since we met him in DA2, I would like to see the characters older than younger.

Well, its only been something like 3 years. He can't have grown all that much "older" in that timeframe. Certainly, not more than he did in the 10 years we knew him as Hawke.

 

And using nicknames isn't "younger" or immature, anyway. Its witty and cool. lol

Hmm, from what we know so far:

 

Bald elf - Baldy-locks

Cassandra - Seeker, obviously (because any other nickname might get him killed)

Vivienne - She will demand to be called whatever she approves of and nothing more.

Warden - Feathers (More than likely will blame Merrill for this)

Iron Bull - Tank

Mustachio - Mustachio

Sera/Blonde elf - Fringe (she'll whine a bit, but she secretly enjoys it)

Cullen - Mercy (based on the crap that happened in Kirkwall, why not?)

 

That's the best I've got so far.

 

Wait, who's "Mustachio" lol? That's an awesome nickname though.

 

Iron Bull should be called "Roy" (for roids), except no one in game will get the reference because roids don't exist in DA as far as I know.

Bearded Warden - Feathers (naturally)

Well, Vivienne will probably get "fancypants." Which will probably prompt her to point out she's not wearing any pants, at which point I hope Varric or some other smartass will lecherously comment "No, you are most certainly not."

 

Still, this game would make sense when we, y'know, could actually name more than three companions.

Actually I was just thinking about starting a thread on this but prudently searched to make sure there wasn't one already.

 

So, my current predictions of Varric's nicknames:

 

Blackwall: Griff (I think I missed something with everyone calling him Feathers - any one care to enlighten me?)

Cassandra: Sunshine (yeah, I know that was Bethany's, but it seems like an easy one with the Seeker armor).

Cole?: Not sure on this one, I'll defer to someone who's actually read the book

Cullen:  Curly

Dorian: Dramatic Hands Mustache Guy (Make it happen, BW, you know you want to...)

Iron Bull: Mayhem

Leliana: Princess Stabbity

Scribbles: Scribbles

Sera: I confess I'm at a loss on this one.

Solas: Baldy (again, maybe have a better one once we know more about him)

Vivienne: Antlers

'Seeker' will most likely be used as Cassandra's nickname for most of the time, but I can imagine him calling her something along the lines of 'princess' every now and again just to push her buttons. Most probably whilst in the company of Sera.

I don't think Varric would be all that hostile towards Qunari. He never gave any indication he held any animosity towards them.
